1 SB 2.10.6 — The merging of the living entity, along with his nirodho ’syānuśayanam
conditional living tendency, with the mystic lying down of the ātmanaḥ saha śaktibhiḥ
Mahā-Viṣṇu is called the winding up of the cosmic manifestation.
Liberation is the permanent situation of the form of the living muktir hitvānyathā rūpaṁ
entity after he gives up the changeable gross and subtle material sva-rūpeṇa vyavasthitiḥ
bodies.
2 SB 3.2.23 — Alas, how shall I take shelter of one more merciful aho bakī yaṁ stana-kāla-kūṭaṁ
than He who granted the position of mother to a she-demon jighāṁsayāpāyayad apy asādhvī
[Pūtanā] although she was unfaithful and she prepared deadly
poison to be sucked from her breast? lebhe gatiṁ dhātry-ucitāṁ tato ’nyaṁ
kaṁ vā dayāluṁ śaraṇaṁ vrajema
3 SB 3.5.11 — Who in human society can be satisfied without kas tṛpnuyāt tīrtha-pado ’bhidhānāt
hearing sufficient talk of the Lord, whose lotus feet are the sum satreṣu vaḥ sūribhir īḍyamānāt
total of all places of pilgrimage and who is worshiped by great
sages and devotees? Such topics can cut off one’s bondage to yaḥ karṇa-nāḍīṁ puruṣasya yāto
family affection simply by entering the holes of one’s ears. bhava-pradāṁ geha-ratiṁ chinatti
4 SB 3.5.13 — For one who is anxious to engage constantly in sā śraddadhānasya vivardhamānā
hearing such topics, kṛṣṇa-kathā gradually increases his
viraktim anyatra karoti puṁsaḥ
indifference towards all other things. Such constant remembrance
of the lotus feet of Lord Kṛṣṇa by the devotee who has achieved hareḥ padānusmṛti-nirvṛtasya
transcendental bliss vanquishes all his miseries without delay.
samasta-duḥkhāpyayam āśu dhatte
5 SB 3.5.41 — The lotus feet of the Lord are by themselves the mārganti yat te mukha-padma-nīḍaiś
shelter of all places of pilgrimage. The great clear-minded sages, chandaḥ-suparṇair ṛṣayo vivikte
carried by the wings of the Vedas, always search after the nest of
Your lotuslike face. Some of them surrender to Your lotus feet at
every step by taking shelter of the best of rivers [the Ganges], yasyāgha-marṣoda-sarid-varāyāḥ
which can deliver one from all sinful reactions. padaṁ padaṁ tīrtha-padaḥ prapannāḥ
6 SB 3.5.42 — Simply by hearing about Your lotus feet with yac chraddhayā śrutavatyā ca bhaktyā
eagerness and devotion and by meditating upon them within the sammṛjyamāne hṛdaye ’vadhāya
heart, one at once becomes enlightened with knowledge, and on
the strength of detachment one becomes pacified. We must jñānena vairāgya-balena dhīrā
therefore take shelter of the sanctuary of Your lotus feet. vrajema tat te ’ṅghri-saroja-pīṭham
7 SB 3.5.46 — O Lord, persons who, because of their serious pānena te deva kathā-sudhāyāḥ
attitude, attain the stage of enlightened devotional service pravṛddha-bhaktyā viśadāśayā ye
achieve the complete meaning of renunciation and knowledge and
attain the Vaikuṇṭhaloka in the spiritual sky simply by drinking the vairāgya-sāraṁ pratilabhya bodhaṁ
nectar of Your topics. yathāñjasānvīyur akuṇṭha-dhiṣṇyam
8 SB 3.9.5 — O my Lord, persons who smell the aroma of Your lotus ye tu tvadīya-caraṇāmbuja-kośa-gandhaṁ
feet, carried by the air of Vedic sound through the holes of the jighranti karṇa-vivaraiḥ śruti-vāta-nītam
ears, accept Your devotional service. For them You are never
separated from the lotus of their hearts. bhaktyā gṛhīta-caraṇaḥ parayā ca teṣāṁ
nāpaiṣi nātha hṛdayāmburuhāt sva-puṁsām
9 SB 3.9.11 — O my Lord, Your devotees can see You through the tvaṁ bhakti-yoga-paribhāvita-hṛt-saroja
ears by the process of bona fide hearing, and thus their hearts āsse śrutekṣita-patho nanu nātha puṁsām
become cleansed, and You take Your seat there. You are so
merciful to Your devotees that You manifest Yourself in the yad-yad-dhiyā ta urugāya vibhāvayanti
particular eternal form of transcendence in which they always tat-tad-vapuḥ praṇayase sad-anugrahāya
think of You.
10 SB 3.15.25 — Persons whose bodily features change in ecstasy and yac ca vrajanty animiṣām ṛṣabhānuvṛttyā
who breathe heavily and perspire due to hearing the glories of the dūre yamā hy upari naḥ spṛhaṇīya-śīlāḥ
Lord are promoted to the kingdom of God, even though they do
not care for meditation and other austerities. The kingdom of God bhartur mithaḥ suyaśasaḥ kathanānurāga-
is above the material universes, and it is desired by Brahmā and vaiklavya-bāṣpa-kalayā pulakī-kṛtāṅgāḥ
other demigods.
11 SB 3.15.43 — When the breeze carrying the aroma of tulasī leaves tasyāravinda-nayanasya padāravinda-
from the toes of the lotus feet of the Personality of Godhead kiñjalka-miśra-tulasī-makaranda-vāyuḥ
entered the nostrils of those sages, they experienced a change
both in body and in mind, even though they were attached to the antar-gataḥ sva-vivareṇa cakāra teṣāṁ
impersonal Brahman understanding. saṅkṣobham akṣara-juṣām api citta-tanvoḥ
12 SB 3.23.56 — Anyone whose work is not meant to elevate him to neha yat karma dharmāya
religious life, anyone whose religious ritualistic performances do na virāgāya kalpate
not raise him to renunciation, and anyone situated in renunciation
that does not lead him to devotional service to the Supreme na tīrtha-pada-sevāyai
Personality of Godhead, must be considered dead, although he is jīvann api mṛto hi saḥ
breathing.
13 SB 3.25.20 — Every learned man knows very well that attachment prasaṅgam ajaraṁ pāśam
for the material is the greatest entanglement of the spirit soul. But ātmanaḥ kavayo viduḥ
that same attachment, when applied to the self-realized devotees,
opens the door of liberation. sa eva sādhuṣu kṛto
mokṣa-dvāram apāvṛtam
14 SB 3.25.21 — The symptoms of a sādhu are that he is tolerant, titikṣavaḥ kāruṇikāḥ
merciful and friendly to all living entities. He has no enemies, he is suhṛdaḥ sarva-dehinām
peaceful, he abides by the scriptures, and all his characteristics are
sublime. ajāta-śatravaḥ śāntāḥ
sādhavaḥ sādhu-bhūṣaṇāḥ
15 SB 3.25.23 — Engaged constantly in chanting and hearing about mad-āśrayāḥ kathā mṛṣṭāḥ
Me, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the sādhus do not śṛṇvanti kathayanti ca
suffer from material miseries because they are always filled with tapanti vividhās tāpā
thoughts of My pastimes and activities. naitān mad-gata-cetasaḥ
16 SB 3.25.25 — In the association of pure devotees, discussion of the satāṁ prasaṅgān mama vīrya-saṁvido
pastimes and activities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is bhavanti hṛt-karṇa-rasāyanāḥ kathāḥ
very pleasing and satisfying to the ear and the heart. By cultivating
such knowledge one gradually becomes advanced on the path of taj-joṣaṇād āśv apavarga-vartmani
liberation, and thereafter he is freed, and his attraction becomes śraddhā ratir bhaktir anukramiṣyati
fixed. Then real devotion and devotional service begin.
17 SB 3.25.34 — A pure devotee, who is attached to the activities of naikātmatāṁ me spṛhayanti kecin
devotional service and who always engages in the service of My mat-pāda-sevābhiratā mad-īhāḥ
lotus feet, never desires to become one with Me. Such a devotee,
who is unflinchingly engaged, always glorifies My pastimes and ye ’nyonyato bhāgavatāḥ prasajya
activities. sabhājayante mama pauruṣāṇi
18 SB 3.29.13 — A pure devotee does not accept any kind of sālokya-sārṣṭi-sāmīpya-
liberation — sālokya, sārṣṭi, sāmīpya, sārūpya or ekatva — even sārūpyaikatvam apy uta
though they are offered by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
dīyamānaṁ na gṛhṇanti
vinā mat-sevanaṁ janāḥ
19 SB 3.31.1 — The Personality of Godhead said: Under the śrī-bhagavān uvāca
supervision of the Supreme Lord and according to the result of his karmaṇā daiva-netreṇa
work, the living entity, the soul, is made to enter into the womb of
a woman through the particle of male semen to assume a jantur dehopapattaye
particular type of body. striyāḥ praviṣṭa udaraṁ
puṁso retaḥ-kaṇāśrayaḥ
