Remark: The test instrument will be purchased in China. In addition to those, which we need,
can be rented at site.
3.The Main Equipment Load, Unload & Transportation Storing

Management.

3.1 Loading/unloading & storing

3.1.1 Loading and unloading


a. Use the 30t mobile crane unload the equipment which weight is less than 30t, and if the
weight is more than 30t, which could be handled by one or two heavy duty crane that can be
rented at site.
b. If indoor storage is impossible, store the cases outdoors under cover of a weatherproof roof,
or alternatively cover them with weatherproof tarpaulins and secure the same. The cases should
be protected against the ground dampness. A storage area should be selected which offers
maximum protection against moisture, floods, dirt, termites and trespassing of unauthorized
personnel.
c. Before unloading the parts, all parties must inspect the cases visual and receipt them, if any
damage occurred, which must be check inside and reported.
3.1.2 Storing
a. Protect the important parts such as shaft, stator, rotor, pole etc. with covers or plugs.
Temporarily enclosing wall and drainage channel will be built around the storing area. There will
have secures on duty 24 hrs a day.
b. There will be enough fire fighting apparatus in the storing place and the warehouse.
c. Small parts and electrical equipment shall be stored in the warehouse, and some instrument
should be protected in the temperature keeping room.
d. The equipment, which stored in the warehouse must be registered and recorded. Every case
must have mark on them.

3.2 The Set-up of the Installation

3.2.1 Set-up
a. Invesigate working field;
b. Auditing construction drawing, take attend the technique hands overh and construction
drawing audited;
c. Comply the construction plan、schem etc.
d. Comply the manpower plan、construction equipment plan and the quality assurance plan.
e. Enhancing a profession training for the personnel, carrying on a quality education and raising
a whole member quality consciousness;
f. Regarding the various construction crafts, techniques all should run before of construction
project and construction measure;
g. Regarding the the engineering design, construction crux, construction counterplan and
technique measure, standard know completely;
h. Construction equipment, water despense and electricity all have already arranged.
3.2.2 General Provision
a.The construction place should carry on unifying programme.The preservation of equipments
should carry on "the water turbo-generator install, transport, preservation condition"
performance.The equipment store field should be consider the loading ability;
b. To choose the assembly method according with the site condition and the main part should
particularly consider the technical measurement for installation;
c. the draft parts which be used for the installation have to meet diagram paper provision,
certificate required for the main material of point part, such as have no certificate or have doubt
to the quality should be checked, meet to request rear quasi- usage;
d. The main welding line should be finished by the welder passed the SD263-88 provision
examination. The welding craftwork should be conform to the standard DL-5017-93. Earthing
line should fixed the welding part.
e. Check the combination surface with ruler, the burr、clearance accord with the requirement of
the standard GB8564-2003 item 2.0.6.
f. Clean the equipment, regarding to the finish machining clean the grease with soft tool.check
the tolerance of the main part of the equipment.
g. Check the slot of the part and oil resistance of the oil system. Connector of the seal not biger
than 0.1mm.
h. Check all the screw with the driver before installation, fix the bolt、nut and the pin should be
fixed with the design or welding.
i. Setting certain number of assembly axes in fastness and nakedness. Difference should be
controlled under ±0.5mm.
3.2.3 Survey Instruments
The special installation tool and survey instruments should be ready for the work:
a. Steel ruler precision 1/10000;
b. J2 theodolite;
c. S3 water level
d. Knife ruler length 150ram and 300mm;
e. Survey ruler with magnetism seat.

5.2 Embedded part installation

5.2.1 Draft tube Installation


Setting out and repetition measurement of the axes of the unit and the downstream flange datum
plane center line prior to the installation of the draft tube liner.
a. Draft tube assembly:
Assemble the draft tube by serial number to a segment, adjust the rondness reinforce it by
welding.
b. Draft tube installation:
Mobilize the segment to site in order, lift on them by the downstream portal hoist.
Install the first segment of the downstream and adjust the center line、level and the axes of the
runner, reinforce it temporarily.
Check the roundness and the concentricity to meet the demand of the manufacturer’s requirement
toward the installation and the acceptance.
Adjust the center line and elelvation of the liner with the thedolite and the level meter to meet the
requirement and standard of the authority.
Securing the tube with sufficient supporting to provent the deformation after the concreting.
5.2.2 Stay Ring Installation
a. Assembly
Clean the inner case and outer one and assemble them according to the requirement of the
designing.
b. To assemble the upper and down column with the inner case by butt welding, control the
welding process to provent the deformation.
c. lift on the inner case
Check the position of the baseplate, repetition measure the wave degree of the flange、center line
of the unit and the flange before lifting on the inner case. After that lift down the case into
position by the house crane.
d. lift on the outer case
Lifting down the outer case into the postion reinforce it temporarily, assemble them after the
adjustment finished. Setup a adjustable support in purpose of the adjustment of the stay ring.
e. adjustment
With center line for benchmark, check the center、elevation、verticality、mileage、parallelism and
adjust the case with the housecrane and the adjustable support according to the technical code
and the requirement of the manufacture.

5.3 The turbine installation

5.3.1 Wickgate Mechanism Installtion


Circular cone gate mechanism composed by guide blade, inner guide, outter guide, blade arm,
guide linking, clamping ring, sleeve, gearing, control ring etc. clean up the components and
assemble them in the workshop, lift down to joint with the stay ring.
a. wickgate mechanism assembly
Check and clean the outer guide, then lift down it on the pier; the level tolerance should be less
than 0.2mm/m. after that intall the blade , sleeve and the seal in number order. Make sure the end
face of the blade applying to the outer guide ring.
Install the guide bearing and the seal after the blade installation finished.
Joint the guide linking after installation of the control ring.
b. block erection
Setting on a reinforcement spoke between the inner and outer guide ring. Lift down it in vertical
position to the pit joint with the stay ring; adjust the inner/outter guide ring, blade corner, the
blade arm and blade position. To make sure the mechanism can be operated smoothly.
5.3.2 Main Shaft Installation
a. Main shaft assembly
Main shaft assembly including: shaft; guide bearing and oil head etc.
Clean up the equipment before assembly, and check the bearing bush which should be no crack;
the gap and contact angle between bushing and journal should conform to the requirement of the
relevant code and regulations.
Adjust the level of the main shaft on the assembly holding frame. Check the gap between the
guide bearing and the main shaft which should be conform to the requirement of the
manufacture. Carry out bushing scrapers if the gap is not meet to the requirement.
b. main shaft lift on
(1) install the guide track on the inner guide ring before lifting down the main shaft.
(2) lifting down the main shaft through the pit, turn the guide bearing to the downstream by the
unit center line. Adjust the height and orientation by the house crane ; move it slowly to the inner
guide ring.
5.3.3 Axes Adjustment
Adjust the axes superposition of the main shaft and the stay ring.
5.3.4 Runner Installation
Lift the runner down to the pit after passing the pressure withstand test. After connection with the
main shaft, check the actural tension with dial indicator. Make sure the joint bolt’s tension meet
the requirement and regulations of the manufacture. Check the assembling surface with feeler
(0.05mm)
5.3.5 Runner Hub Installation
Lifting down the upper part of the hub to the pit and joint with the lower part which been lifted
down before installation of the main shaft. Check and adjust the gap between the runner and the
hub.
5.3.6 Assembly of Rotor
The generator rotor consists of rotor support, magnetic yoke, rotor pole and rotor lead.
The rotor bracket can be placed on the pier in erection bay, the height of which shall faciliate to
work easily.. A water level can be used for measurement of surface levelness of bracket brake.
Adjust it to meet the requirements.
Laminate the magnetic yoke before mounting the pole.
Clean the pole after opening the package and check them one by one, then mount the pole
according to pole number and rotor bracket position required by the manufactures.
After completing of pole mount, check the height mark and distance of poles one by one, then
measure and adjust the roundness to meet the requirement; fastern the pole keys according to the
pretightening force required by the manufacturer and install the rotor damping ring and damping
ring connection chip.
Turn the rotor 90 ° by using the rotor roll-over and and lifting tool, lift it vertically in the pit to
connect with the flange on the upstream side of main shaft, then install four poles corresponding
to the position of rotro turn-over and lifting tool.
The rotor test shall be performed according to the installation procedure and standard of the
manufacturer.
5.3.7 Assembely of Stator
Transport the rotor bracket to the erection bay for round installation. When meeting the
requirement, assembly the lamination according to the technical process and requirement of rotor
lamination and as well as requirements of GB/T8564-2003, hoist it entirely after the completion
and testing.
Turn over the rotor in the erection bay and lift it verically in the pit with rotor turn-over tools
provided by the manufacturers, connect initially all combination bolts of rotro and tube-type

air gap and adjust them to specifications of the manufacturer. Tightening the bolts connecting
stator and inner one by one and drill the positioning dowels.
Lift the bulb head assembled and placed in the upstream flow passage completely from the
upstream side and move to the rotor horizentally, conntect it with the stator with combination
bolts.
5.3.8 Adjustment of Generator Thrust Bearing
Adjust the thrust bearing after the instalation and connection of generetor rotor and turbine
runner and loading of main shaft. Adjust the axis according to requiement of the manufacturer,
check the positive and negative thrust pad, which the clearance between the positive & negatiive
pads and mirror plate shall meet the requirement of design and installation procedure.
5.3.9 Installation of Generator Support
Install formally the generator support set, support body, adjustment screw and nut after cleaning
up. Install them respectively into the support set and adjust the stress of bolt of support body,
while the tightening shall be based on the manufacturer drawings and technical requirements.
After adjustment, assembel the locking nut, bolt cover and water seal parts
5.3.10 Installation of Generator Cover Plate, Shaft and Guide Plate
The guide plate and pier guard plate, which are steel-welded structure and have been pre-
assembled in the factory by manufacturers, can be installed in place according to the marks of
manufacturers.
Clean the flange surface and seal contact machined surface before installing the cover shaft, lift
the cover plate and connect it with the frame, look out the seal between them.
Lift into the shaft and connect initially the flange of cooling sheeve, measure the clearance
between the shaft ex-cirle and frame bore, while the entire circumferential orientation gap shall
be over 5mm.
Lift the combination of shaft seal ring base and cover plate on the position of cover plate,
location, measure and adjust the gap between the directions of shaft and circumference to make
them uniformlly. After welding the seal base and cover plate for reforement, lift out the shaft,
weld the sealing seam between the seal base and cover plate and check the coloring to meet the
requirement, finnally hoist the shaft and install the seal for final assembly.
5.3.11 Assembly of Oil Feeder
The oil feeder consists of the oil feeder body, operation oil pipe axis, support, blade opening
feedback mechanism and floating pad. I
Connect the oil opeeration pipeline small shaft with generator rotor for barring of the roation
part. Measure the swing the shaft pad of operation oil pipe shaft and ajust it according to the
measured value till to meet the requirement.
Clean the oil feeder body, support and floating pad, check with the mating dimension of shaft pad
to meet the requirements.
Lift the oil feeder support to position, align the oil feeder support postion according to the
operaion oil pipe to make the radial clearance between them equally and fix them and install the
floating pad finally.
Install the sole plate, start the blade opearation, close the side oil pipe and runner hub oil supply
pipe, the connection between the oil feeder and grounding parts in the upstream of generator
shall be equipped with insulation pad and cover to prevent oil cooler and generator by the
upstream side of the ground connection between the components are equipped with insulating
pad, insulated cover, to prevent the shaft current to form return circuit and burn the shaft pad.
Install oil feeder seal, cover cap, runner blade opening feedback mechanism.
5.3.12 Runner Chamber Installation
The runner chamber composes of two parts, the lower part of runner chamber shall be lifted to
the pit before hoisting the main shaft
Clean the connection flange surface of outer water guide ring flange,screw and pin hole, measure
the flange surface of outer guide ring with with the square template ruler.
Lift the upper part of runner chamber in the pit and connect it with the lower part into a whole.
Check the tightness of connection surface. After the connection, check it with a feeler gauge to
ensure the gap is less than 0.05mm, partial gap is allowed but less than 0.10mm, the depth of
which shall not exceed 1/3 of the gap width of two parts, thel length, less than 10% of full length.
Check the gap between runner chamber and runner blade, measure three points on each blade,
adjust the assembly postion between the runner chamber and outer water guide ring during
measurement, the gap between the runner chamber and blade room shall be equal in the direction
of + X- and X.
Install water seal ring, pressure ring and connect and fasten them..
Install the runner chamber stairs and railing according to the requiement of drawings.
5.3.13 Generator Cabin and Other Auxiliary Equipment
Inspect the installation of maintenance platform, ventilation and cooling system equipment,
brake, locking system, fire extinguishing system, moistrue-proof device, speed measurement
equipment, ligthing equipment and auxiliary control wiring system in the generator cabin to meet
drawing technical requirements and regulations of the manufacturer.

5.4 Hydraulic Machinery Auxiliaries Equipment Installation

5.4.1 Regulation and Criterion for Construction and Acceptance

5.4.2 Governor System Installation
a. Oil pressure device installation
Cleaning up the equipment such as oiltank and oil groove etc.
1.5 times pressure test should be done befor installtion, and it will be maintaining 30min and no
leakage occurred. Safety valves 、 check valves and cut off valves shloud be carry out coal oil
leakage test maintaining at least 5min and no leakage occurred.
b. The governor installation
Before installation, the equipment should be check wheather the appearance is damaged; the
electric wiring is lossening etc. The installation foundation should be cleaned and the elevation is
adherence to the design specification. Lifting equipment to the installation position. Adjust the
installation elevation、align center、level and the vertical degree in accordance with the installtion
specification of the hydraulic turbine generator unit GB8564-2003.
c. Servomotor installation
(1) check the appearance of the equipment wheather it is damaged; then carry out the 1.25
times pressure withstand test maintaining 30min no leakage.
(2) carrying out the pressure oil travel test: pouring into the oil through the close side enable
the servomotor in full close position to get the travel distance between the sleeve end face
and the servomotor jar; second pouring into the oil through the opening side to enable the
servomotor in full close position to get the travel distance between the end face and the
servomotor jar; then pouring into the oil again through the close side to enable the
servomotor in full close position to get the travel distance between the end face and the
servomotor jar. Compare the three numerical value to get the travel distance of the
servormotor.
(3) check the fitting of the pushing pull eye and the pin shaft to meet the requirement of the
traveling of the equipment. Assemble the equipment with the base support, punch into the
dowel male pin to reinforce the servomotor. Fastening the foundation bolts according to the
torque value of the design requirement.
5.4.3 Pipeline Arrangement and Installation
a. Preparatory treatment
(1) organise the construction staff to take attend the technical studying and had acquaintance
with the construction drawing and the relevant technical documentations.
(2) draft the construction plan 、 manpower plan 、 the construction steps and the safety
measurement.
b. Pipeline installation
(1) stuff specifications
All the stuffs and their accessories must have qualification cerfification and test record report,
working pressure is 2.5MPa above as well.
(2) valves testing
1.5 times pressure withstand test maintaining 30min no leakage.
(3) ready installation
Upon the piping layout performing at site or ready installation.
Setting up a benchmark as the beginning point and carrying out as the drawing, spot welding 3-6
times for the connection with the flange. Add a temporary support for a weight flange or elbow;
make a serial number or marking, then loosen off for welding and manufacturing.
(4) welding
Pipe joint will be adopted proper type of cutting and dimension, “I”type opening at the thickness
less than 4mm or line up gap is 1-2mm; “V” type opening of 70 0 at the line up gap is 0-2mm or
tube line up joint is less than 20% of the thickness or 2mm.
Argon arc welding will be used for the pressure piping line, and joint gap kept in line.
(5) check , clean up and test
Before installation the welding seam should be cleaned and outer inspection. Carry out proper
treatment for the megascopic welding defect if any.
The welding seam of the pressure pipeline should be inspected as the requirement of the design
drawing.
Towards those pipeline’s working pressure is above 1MPa should be carried out 1.5times
pressure withstand test maintaining 30min no leakage or any abnormal phenomena.
Go to acid pickling process after the pipeline passed the test; flushing with the pressure water and
compressed air after cleaning up. Applying turbine oil inside the tube paint base outside tube.
(6) Installation
Joint the tube and tightening the flanges; the percent of slop of the tube and the fluid flow
direction controlled whinth 0.2%-0.3%.
5.4.4 Auxiliary Equipment Installation
a. Preparatory work
Inspect the equipment wheather there is any damage, it will be record (if any) in the acceptance
report.
Clean up the equipment before installtion;
b. Installation
To some equipments with bigger physical volumes such as oil tank, which can not be lifted down
through the lifting hole, will be positioned before pouring concreting of the power house.
The anchor bolt embedded or obligate the bolt point of it for the equipment foundation.
Positioning the equipment then adjust the center line and elevation according with the design
requirement.

5.5.4 Rail Building

and-aft wheel in roads.

spacing is less than 2mm. and the expansion join spacing should be controlled within ±1mm.

( 9 ) install the car bumper as building rail, insure the car bumper contact with the crane
buffer stop equably.

②Wheel horizontal deflection P ≤L/1000, L is the survey length, also any pair of wheel oblique
direction should be opposite on the identical axial line.
5.5.7 Electric Equipment Installation
a.Equipment inspection
( 1 ) The power distribution and the control board appearance should make the detailed
inspection, should conform to the state technical standard. The equipment has the data plate and
the product technology document is complete;
(2)The cabinet outward appearance integrity, does not have the damage, does not have the
distortion, the non-corrosion phenomenon, is not obviously affected with damp, the equipment
structural style and the protection rank should conform to the standard requirement;
(3)The insulation material is good, the electrical connection should be reliable, the wire
mark should be clear.
b.The cabinet and resistor installation
(1)The cabinet should carry on the installation according to the blueprint order of rank,
fixes with 4 M12mm galvanized screws in the foundation channel steel, the allowance difference
verticality: smaller than 1.5mm/m ; Levelness: The neighboring two cabinet crown is smaller
than 2mm, falls in is smaller than 5mm; Undulation: The neighboring two cabinet crown is
smaller than 1mm, falls in is smaller than 5mm; Between the cabinet the slit is smaller than 2mm.
The cabinet body and the cabinet body, the cabinet body and the side back plate apply the
galvanized screw connection;
(2)The outdoors type switchboard should install correctly reliable, and has the rainproof ;
(3)The resistance box vertical folds installs should not surpass 4 box, surpasses 4 box to be

c.Trolley line, the support, insulator installation:

trolley line is not bigger than 20mm; Between the trolley line and the end instrument insulation
should be reliable;
(4)The flexible cable installtion should conform to the following requirement: adopt the
sectional steel for the flexible cable chute, the section should install straight, the chute should
straight smooth, the mechanical strength conform to the requirement. The suspension unit moves
along the chute should be nimble, not have the beat, does not have the jamming; The flexible
cable moves length compared to the crane is away from long 15% to 20%, install the traction
rope, and its length should shorter than the move length of the flexible cable.
(5)To spread the electric compound grease in the bus duct rabbet, when the engine driver
move, the electric conduction block glide steady, the contact good, does not have the jamming,
the beat, braves the spark phenomenon.
d.The electric cable, the electric wire laying and distributing
(1)Besides the light current system, should use 500V and above rated voltage copper core
stranded wire or the electric cable, and the section does not smaller than 1.5mm2;
(2)The electric wire or the electric cable should be installed in the steel pipe, the trunking or
the guard shield; The steel pipe, the trunking should fix reliably; The orifice should have
protection wrap, the trunking exit be supposed to have the protective measures;
(3)The electric cable, the electric wire should arrange neatly, not suitable overlapping, the
intensity and the light current cable separates the placing suitably, the electric cable both sides
should have the electric cable sign;
(4)When electric cable fixed placing, its bevelling radius should be bigger than the electric
cable outer diameter 5 times, when the electric cable moves the placing, its bevelling radius
should be bigger than the outer diameter 8 times;
(5)The electric cable, the electric wire match the line to be supposed to arrange neatly, both
sides of the wire should compression-join the corresponding binding clamp reliably, and should
have the obvious wiring serial number.
(6)Electrical device testing and electrical looping simulation testing.
①The hoist crane isolator, the air switch, AC contactor and so on installation to be supposed to
conform to the standard requirement;
② The power switch should be placed appooaches the crane on the ground, and its terminal
can not be connected other electric consumer.
③The hoist crane should be equipped the power switch, and its terminal can not be connected
other electric consumer.
④The isolating switch should be equipped on the crane, and the switch should have obvious
effective disconnecting distance when it is opening, the breaker or the fuse should be equipped
on the short circuit protection purpose on the power supply looping.
⑤ Inspect the reliability of the limit switch、the rammer switch、the console switch and the
operating button;
⑥ Inspect the accuracy of the electric looping , and its insulation resistance value is not lower
than 0.5MΩ;
⑦ To check the reliability and the accuracy of the electric looping by the functional simulation
test.
e.Earthing
(1) The electrical equipment outer covering, the conduit and the voltage step down to
secondary circuit side should be reliable connected with the steel structure;
(2) The steel structure should adopt null line or earthing protection according to the LV system
earthing specifications, adopts the reliable single item short circuit protection or the leakage
protective device separately;
(3) Each track of the crane should set two reliable earths, the electrical cross-over should make
in the joint between the track end; the earth resistance should satisfy the design request, and not
lower than 4Ω;
(4) When cab be connected by the bolts with the hoist crane , carries on the electrical cross-
over. The cross-over position cannot be short in two, and the multi-core wire those sectional area
cannot be smaller than 16mm2.
f.Illumination equipment installation
(1) The special-purpose null line or the insulating transformer will be set in the illuminates
looping, illuminates power should not be failure after the crane power shut down.
(2)Tthe safety transformer or the isolating transformer installation should be reliable, the
insulation is good;
(3) The cab and the corridor have the appropriate illumination when the crane is working;
(4) The portable lamp device voltage should not be higher than 36V.
5.5.8 Trial rRun
a.Inspection before trial run
(1) inspect all machine parts, connecting parts and each kind of protective device and the
lubrication system, the oiling result should conform to the requirement; then eliminates all
sundries both sides of rack;
(2) inspect steel wire end fixed should be reliable, in the reel, the direction of the block pulley
is correct;
(3) inspect the electric cable reel, central electric conduction installation, skid wire,
transformer, as well as various electrical wiring、earthing correct;
(4) check the rotation and speed of the travel mechanism motor which are synchronization or
not;
(5) starting the various brake wheel by hand rolling 360 degree no jamming phenomenon.
b. Noload test run
Lifting mechanism travel the range three times and check the electric and mechnical parts as
following:
(1) motor running smooth as well as the three phase current;
(2) electric equipment no abnormal heat as well as the controller contactor;
(3) limit switch, protective device and interlocking device should be in good working condition;
(4) the limit plate of the wheel cannot be touched the rack when bogie and the crane working;
(5) electric device no jamming、running smooth and no serious open fire when bogie and the
crane working;
(6) all mechanical parts should not have the impact sound and other unusual sounds as they
running;
(7) the brake shoe should leave the brake pulley and don’t have any friction during it operation;
(8) all bearings and the gear should have good lubrication, and those temperature should not
surpass 65C;
(9) the noise can not bigger than 85dB(A) in the cab by window closed.
c. static load test
The static load test is to check the load capacity of the various parts of the headstock gear and
steel structure.
Lifts the rated load (increase to rated load gradually), carry out the shuttle operation. The
performance should achieve the design request, removes the load to stop the bogie at the end of
the main beam and get the reference point. Then lifts the 1.25times of the rated load 100 to
200mm above the ground maintaining not less than 10mins. Then removes the load, inspects the
equipment whether it has the permanent deformation. Repeat those three times and the crane
frame should not have any permanent deformation. Drives the bogie to the end, the actual camber
value and the curls upwards value not to be smaller than: The cross 0.7 L /1000, the cantalever
end 0.7 L1 (or L2) /350; then drive the bogie to stop in the cross or the cantilever end, lift the
rated load and inspect the main beam deflection value (and on curls upwards value by actual
camber value to calculate) was not bigger than: the cross L /700 ;the cantilever end L1(orL2)
/350.
Any part of the crane do not have broken, joint loosen or damage after the testing.
d. Dynamic load test
Lift 1.1 times of fixed load test. Start two mechanisms simultaneously according to the design
request, repeat such action: starting, operation, shut down, clockwise, reverse maintaining 1h at

5.5.9 Acceptance
a. Check and inspection should be carried by the installation team according with the blue
drawing and the following terms; after inspection the qualified side can be carried on the
approval process; then it can be brought into operation.
b. The following technical documentations should be hand over :
(1) installation as-built drawing;
(2) design amendment davice;
(3) the setting-out record and test record of the installation dimension; the static and dynamic
load test;
(4) the welding seam inspection report and record;
(5) the major deflection treatment record;
(6) the all documentations from the equipment manufacturer.

5.6 Electric Equipment Installation & Test

5.6.1 Electric Equipment Installation Works scope


The electric equipment installation and test include:
a. The transformer equipment( include the main transformer 、the auxiliary equipment、the
neutral point equipment and the station transformer );
b. The 110KV HV equipment and the framework device;
c. The 10.5KV generator power distribution unit 、 enclosed bus and the electric auxiliary
device of the generator units;
d. 0.4KV distribution device of the station ( include: power distribution box、socket box) and
the gate dam distribution device;
e. The inspection acceptance and test of the all whole set electric device.

1. the preparatory work

electric equipment installation quantities as well as civil engineering progress and so on, upon
which the installation progress would be arranged in single item or unit works to be finished on
time.
The general requirements of progress schedule preparation:
The electric embedded works excuted together with the civil engineering and the finishing works
to avoid missing any items;
b. the primary work which will be influnced the construction time limit will be given the woking
face priority to reduce the working fastigium, to insure the instllation can be carried
continuously;
c. regarding the cross-working surface the effective measure should be taken to avoid the
different working face disturbing each other and note the safety working;
d. the debugging and commissioning time should be taken in account in the comprehensive
progress;
e. take any effective measures to avoid the natural influence during construction;
f. the construction progress should be excuted to insure the safety and quality;
g. combined working with civil engineering and finishing works should be taken into account
comprehensively;
h. check the condition of the equipment and main material arrived so as to draft the auxiliary
material procurement plan.
2. working face checking
According to the design drawing and installation documentations, the working face can be
classified into two kinds:the embedment face of foundation and embedded parts, the equipment
installation face; the hydraulic structure holes、equipment foundation and installation face shall
be checked whether they meet the design requirement or installaiton condition by the
construction technician and supervision engineer.The installaiton level and location will be
surveyed by water level and tape and marked with red paint, if any unconformity found written
proposal will be submmited to the site supervision engineer.
3. foundation and embedment
Before embedding of the foundation and embedment parts , technical clarification will be done
by the engineer in charge and the working group on the basis of design drawing 、 installation
documentation、design amendment notificaiton and supervision notification, the principle of no
impeded the progress schedule, the requirement of the relevant regulations and specifications,
setting out the embedment location applied by the theodolite 、 water level and tape after that
carrying on the embedment process and the record will be well kept.
4. acceptance of the embeded parts
After the embedment works finished and passed the three kinds of checks, it can be turned over
to pouring concrete when supervision engineer justify it qualified and sign the paper.
5. Equipment foundation installation
The electric equipment's foundation instllation mainly means the installation of the foundation
rack of the main transformer and the section beam of the electric board foundation, installaiton
method see clause 3.
6. equipment and apparatus acceptance & testing
The equipment and apparatus arrived at site will be checked by the technician、housekeeper、the
supervision engineer and the representative of the client according to the requirements of the
design、bill of the order、packing list、instruction book and the relevant regulation specifications,
after that it can be stored and kept in the warehouse as the ISO9001 standard.Any equipment and
apparatus need to be tested should be carried out the kind of testing according to the state
standard and the relevant requirements by the qualified tester.Any disqualified equipment and
apparatus found written proposal promptly will be submmited to the site supervision engineer
and the client.
7. Equipment installation
Equipment will be installed on the time schedule in good quality according to the design
requirement and the state standard regulations and specifications.
8. inspection and testing
Each of the equipment installed should be carried out the three kind of checks according to the
requirements and the relevant state standard and regulations, the qualified equipment again
would be carried out the relevant kind of tests and the stimulation testing according to the
regulations and specificaiton by the professional qualified tester.
9. trouble-shooting test
The installed equipment can be turned into the commissioning test after it was signed and
qualified by the supervision engineer 、 design department 、 the client and the commissioning
committee's approval.
10. Handing over the documentations
In the purpose of operate and manage the unit, all the documentations will be handed over to the
client in one month after the trail run test.

paper; after the technique understanding, use theodolite, lever and curve ruler to set out and
position the reference point upon the E/M installation regulation and specifications. All the
technique and installation data should be recorded and filed after embedment work.
(3) equipment inspection, acceptance and storage
After the equipment arrived at the site, which will be inspected by the client, supervision
engineer and the keeper of the construction company upon the design equipment list, shipping
list etc. the equipment, which have been checked and conformed with the design requirement and
the relevant regulation & specification, will be stored according to the ISO9002 management
system.
2. cable rack, cable tray installation
The cable tray mostly installed along the wall or under the floor, also it should bear stress and
weight, ensure it is reliable and have good-looking.Therefore the product can be used after the
quality examination by the third part qualified organization, its structure should satisfy the
intensity, the rigidity and the stable request, its model, the specification,the material quality
should conform to the design requirement.To avoid the different working face disturbing each
other during the installation, and ensure safety working;a flexible joint will be applied to install
each of the 20m of the cable tray on the line installation. The installation procedure: fasten the
connecting plate with the bolt at the side of the tray; and the leave the other side of the nut
loosely.
The installation requirements:
1) the installtion of the cable holder and the cable tray should be arranged on the one level and
vertical;
2) the installation of the cable holder and the cable tray should have the same grade of the slope
with the working face, the cable tray should have proper eathing and the connectiong of the tray
should be protected by the flxible wire;
3) the cable holder, the cable tray should be leveled off and reliable, the arrangement is neat,
even, the height should be controlled on one level, the allowable deviation ≤ 5mm;
4) the cable holder keeps off to the ditch horizontally, the floor 、the ditch sole distance should
conform to the design requirement;
5) the fabrication and installation of the cable holder should be conformed to the design
requirement;
6) the welding seam of the cable holder and cable tray should be brushed the anti-corrosive
varnish and the paint, and the paint level have to be completed;
7) each of the cable holder should have proper earthing, the flexible wire should be applied to
install as the earthing conductor at the joint of the cable holder;

Fabricate the section steel foundation as the requirement of the design drawing, it is important
that the material quality, type and the dimension should be checked again upon the drawing,
leveling off cutting the section steel, then carrying out the grinding process with the right angle
grinder and finish the anticorrosion process.(it is note that the torch operation is prohibited during
the fabrication process)
2) the position of the distributor board and the building should be considered during installation
of the foundation section steel, when the distributor board is arranged in single row, it should be
paralleled with the wall surface; when they are arranged in multi-rows, they should be paralleled
with the center line of the building; to causes the civil construction errors hide after the
equipment, and the relative level of the foundation section steel and the ground generally is:
① the control board and the relaying board should be installed 10mm above the ground;
② the power board and the distrbutor box should be installed 50~100mm above the ground
against moist and the ponding. The installation method of the foundation section steel: it should
be installed before the ground completion, the every two section steel should be paralled and the
level difference should be less than 1mm/m, totally less than 5mm.
3) The electric switch board and cubicle arrived at site will be checked by the technician,
housekeeper, the supervision engineer and the representative of the client according to the
requirements of the design, bill of the order, packing list, instruction book and the relevant
regulation specifications, after that it can be stored and kept in the warehouse as the ISO9001
standard.
In the short distance transportation, the handling of the electric switch board and cubicle will be
carried out by the lift truck in the good weather condition, and it will be fasten well on the lift
truck against the impaction.The inspection of the electric switch board and cubicle well be
carried out indoor, check the type and modle according with the packing list and the technical
documentation. File inspection data well.
4) clean and erect the electric board/cubicle before the ground finishing of the power house. The
erect procedure is as follow: position the equipment by the hand or lift truck; after erection of one
board/cubicle, it can be arranged from left to right to the rest of the board/cubicle; it is note that
the level difference should be less than 1/1000 and 5mm, the perpendicularity difference should
be less than the 1.5/1000 of the height.The spot welding should be applied between the
board/cubicle and the section steel foundation, 4 spots on each of the board/cubicle, two in the
front and the other two on the rear, the welding range is about 10~15mm, joint welding with the
base plate on the foundation, it is note that the welding seam should be inside of the
board/cubicle.
The wall type of control box/distributor box can be fixed on the wall by the expansion bolt, and
the stand distributor board can be erected on the section steel foundation.
5. The factory service transformer installaiton
There will be arranged 3 uints 400V factory service transformer, model: SC-630/10 10.5/0.4KV.
The installation method is as following:
A. foundation and embedment
(1) the preparatory work

B. equipment foundation fabrication and installation
a. fabricate the section steel foundation as the requirement of the design drawing, it is important
that the material quality 、 type and the dimension should be checked again upon the drawing,
leveling off the section steel and cutting with the cutting machine, then carrying out the grinding
process with the right angle grinder and finish the anticorrosion process.(it is note that the torch
operation is prohibited during the fabrication process)
b. the installation of the equipment shall be according to the design requirement to leave a certain
distance between the wall to get a good airiness, and make each of the terminal connector match
the cable inlet/oulet hole.The foundation shall be proper welding/botled fixed the embedded
parts, should have proper earthing line; the center line difference should be less than 1mm/m, the
level difference should be less than 1mm/m as well.
C. the transformer inspection and acceptance
The dry-type transformer shall be checked as following items at site:
a. check the equipement according to the relevant state technical stardand, the qualified
certificate, mark plate, notebook and the factory test record etc;
b. to check the date according to the design requirement;
c. check the appearance of the equipment weather its suffered any damaged;
d. each part of the bolts should be fixed properly, and the ironcore no multiearthing 、 no
displacement and any loosening;
e. special earthing terminal and thermometer device should be arranged on the safe side;
f. good insulation of and between the HV/LV, the phase and the ground, no damp.
D. the transformer inspection and acceptance
during the installation of the equipment, it is note that the steel wire rope should be hanged at the
lifting point, and the gradient of the transformer should be less than 15°; no collision
phenomenon, the hoisting jack goes to the special jack point.It is the transformer characteristic
that it should be kept out of the dust and it can be easily damaged by damp. So as to it should be
stored against dust and moisture. The measurement like: the moisture-proof bag, the orginal
packaging, wooden board, the striped cloth etc. and the entire seal protection and a visible sign is
needed.
E. the transformer tests
The transformer tests will be carried out by the personnel appointed by the EEM office according
to the regulations standard request. And the test result will be promoptly reviewed by the
consulting engineer.
F. cable arranged
Generally the cable in the power plant can be classified in power cable, the soft rubber insulated
cable, control cable etc. it can be arranged by the cable trayer or embedded into cable tube
subject to the site condition.The arrangement method is as follows:
(1) Cable arranging has two methods:mechanical arranging and manual arranging. Mechanical
arranging is only adapted to the construction site on the same surface without obstacles. Manual
arranging is used indoors.
(2) Before operating, technical clarification should be accomplished by the foreman builder.
should lay out reasonably、direct uniformly and draw cable at an steady speed. The manager of
cable arranging should know the the construction site (cable distribution, order, arrangement,
specification, type, serial number,etc)clearly to avoid repetation.
(3) Before cable arranging, sign should be written down、sorted by the same direction and size. It
should fix the number of layers to avoid crossing、overlapping but enhance working efficiency.
(4) Cables to be threaded through the tube, especially those through long ones, should be pulled
on beforehead to save time.
(5) The main control room and the LV distrbution room are two main places for cable assembly,
so they are chosen as cable setting out spots to reduce the volume of cable portage. Self-made
bracket is used in wire setting out.
(6) Generally, power, big sections go first before control, small sections in cable arranging.
(7) From up and down, low pressure cable, control cable, computer cable, communication cable
are arranged in sequence,or according to the scheme.
(8) From the workshop to the transformer substation, high voltage cables are arranged outdoors.
Pellicle paper should be tighten firmly to the end against the damp.
6. Second time for equiment setting, wire connection and checking
(1) busbar assembly
Wires of Middle, low voltage power switch box are often arranged after the setting of the same
row of power switch boxes. The gauge of wires should be in reqirement. The control screen and
the relaying screen are connected by φ6mm copper rods. Insulted wires are usually used in high
voltage switch cabinets and low voltage switchboards. Problems such as sand eye, crack, furrow,
hole and uneven diameter should not appear in naked copper sticks. The insulted layer of wire
should be intact. Before arranging, copper rods could be flatten by the hammer on the wood.
Rods could be wiredrawed by wielding to meet need. Tie-in is set in the supporting terminal to
fixe busbars. Oxydated layers and rotten tin are bolished by sand paper from busbars+ on the
supporting terminal and brushed a thin layer of electrical conducting paste.The gap between
busbar and frame should be no less than 15mm. Paint is besmeared and tag of busbar is signed.
(2) Secondary wiring
Wiring is prearranged. Cable wiring and part of wire connection on the board 、alternation are
completed on the site. Wiring in the switchbox is done according to the installation drawing.
Wire connection should be corrrect.Arrangement should be in order, clear and handsome, safe in
insulting, and connected firmly. Equipments in board are not connected directly by the
connecting terminal. The insulting wire has no tie-in. Except for the electricity circle, 1.5mm
multi-thigh soft wire is usually used as wire section. Instruments and equipments in the
switchboxs outside are connected through the group terminal block. The connection between the
group terminal block and the equipments is directed through the inside(upright) or
upside(horizontal). Terminals of all wires are covered with marks. Signs or spell of marks and
terminals should be clear and conformed with the assembly drawing.
Cables under the screen are fixed by cable blocks. Cable shield is taken off 150mm away from
the bottom of the screen. Cable head is done up with polyvinyl chloride insulating belts. Cable
heads should be consistent. The color of insulating belts should be compatible. Each cable is
hanged with sign board. Core line is separated and straightly drawed. After a plastic line buckle
is locked every 300mm, wiring is done in trough inside the screen. For shielded computer cable
and communicating cable, earth line is fixed first. The terminal of the assembly cables is
grounded. After that, groove cover should be added.
Wire is first correctly connected to the terminal with special section tube(core line mark). The
circle of wire is twisted to the direction of the tightening of screw. Core lines of 1.5mm2 and
2.5mm2 sections are stripped by cable stripper.
(3) checking and simulating
After wearing, testor check、fix cable according to the drawing one by one, and make all right.
Then simulating experiment is carried out through shunt loop to check connection and confirm
correctness.
7. DC power supply equipment installation
DC charging equipment is checked and kept after arrival. Erection and cable connection should
be done after a well preparation. This step is the same as the installation of control machines and
protectors.
Installation steps:
a. clear the battery surface, check if there is damage, crack, deformation, flexibility of positive
and negative polarity
b. storage battery is set on the screen, keep steady, clear, handsome. Anode and cathode of
battery is connected by joint plate. A thin layer of power complex soap lubricating grease should
be painted.
c. charge, discharge experiment, check the volume of battery.
(2) charge equipment debugging, working steps on the site:
a. check firmness of every connecting screw, correctness and contact of insert;
b. three-phase AC power obeys phase order signed on the euipment;
c. potentiometer is turned to the leaning small side of middle position. Output voltage can not be
too high. Current can not be too heavy.
d. wave shape of three-phase spring breakover in main loop is checked by oscillograph.
Imbalance should be asjusted to balance.
8. Diesel oil generator installation
(1) main frame installation
diesel oil engine and generator are mated on the steeliness base beforehead. It is good for
transportation and installation on the foundation. The base is fixed by fang bolt. It is suspended
on the foundation or by windlass. Pulley block is drawed on the foundation, and at the same time,
fang bolt is screwed in the fang bolt hole through the fasten screw on the base. Gradienter is used
to align primarily. Unit is lightly suspended to no more high than 500mm, and underlayed by
crosstie. Fang bolt is upright and steady. Long bolt is sometimes adopted. Fang bolt is usually
concreted by quik-dried concrete. Maintaing is needed after concreting. Unit is carefully layed on
the foundation.
(2) hot wind pipeline and freezing system installation
Hot wind pipe line is set even. Direct warp is no more than 1%; If twist is needed ,bend radius
should be big and inner should be smooth. Soft tie-in is connected to radiator. Generally, acreage
of port is 1.5 time bigger than that of radiator. Port is closed right to radiator. Port is kept away
from oulet port. When wind is againt hot wind outlet port, wind protecting wall should be built.
(3) Being at the same level for axes of radiator and axes of diesel oil generator in the center of
radiator unit is an important factor in steady operation. To align by steel tap is an usual way.
(4) electronical control protection box installation
Test, setting, ajustment of dynamotor unit electronical control box are the same as the installation
of power switch box.
(5) wire or cable wiring as before
(6) wiring in power supply system of generator unit
Generator unit act as spare power supply for load needing constant electricity, when power cut.
Phase order of output voltage of generator is the same like that of external power.
(7) unit start and testing running
Operation begins after checking by professional. First, lubro-pump run. Peep hole is open to
discharge air. Oil is infused to check smoothness of oil passage way.

(2) transportation of main tranformer


Road should be flat, no slope and block when transporting. This should be made sure by
cotacting with police. Trolley lead the way. Professioinal should go with cart.
a. Abnormity such as urgent brake, big slant is unacceptable. Damage could be made to
insulating component of main transformer by heavy striking and vibrating.
b. Road gradient is no more than 15°
c. Transformer is fixed by hemp rope and support to avoid toppling. Speed of transportation
should be proper when climbing or declining slope .Tow track speed can not exceed 15km/h.
d. small flag with superelevation and superzone is pluged for notice. Veteran craneman should
follow when transporting. It is necessary to prepare reinforce tool for urgency.
e. surveilling nitrogen pressure of nitrogenizing transportation transformer
f. hoisting engine is used to load transformer. Jack is put at a special raising position.
(3) track fixing
Transformer portage track is layed from installation field to transformer field. 43kg/m rail is
adopted to form 120m long monorail. Track should be checked before operation. Operation need
to accord with the design and criterion. The error of distance between two tracks is no less than
2mm. The error of track and design elevation is no more than ±2mm. The error of track joint
level is no more than 1mm. Track should be grounded credibly. Two grounding points should be
signed obviously.
(4) apperance check
Apperance check and insulating oil testing should be carried out when transformer arrives. No
accessory should be missed. Make sure no rust or machine damage. Oil level of oil-filling tube
should be normal, and porcelain body should be perfect. When transporting, an good airproof and
oil leaking protection are needed. Water remained in the oil tank should be no more than 30ppm.
Electric intensity is no less than 30kV. Insulated resistance or absorptance accords with
regulations. Tread is adjusted to gauge rightly. Trolley should run smoothly. Production data and
product certificate should be in place.
(5) installation preparation
Transformer is towed by winch. It needs four jacks to when needed to turn 90°. Jack is positioned
at the oil tank. Lift operation should be harmony. Bearing should be equal. Underlay needs to be
prepared in time. After trolley is adjusted, transformer is raised carefully on new tracks. Then it is
drawed by winch. When transformer is set, trolley is fixed by brake machine that can
disassemble. Coping of box installed gas relay should have 1%~2% gradient or accord with
standards made by manufacturer. Transformer shell is grounded by two points.
(6) inspection of equipment body
a. preparatory work
(a) installation site preparation
A place should be cleared out to pile up and deal with accessories. And accessories of
transformer could be raised there. A facility room is needed to store instruments, parts,
construction materials and tools.
(b) preparation of operation equipment and main materials
A vaccum filter, oil pump, vaccum pump are needed. Vitta, oilpaper, dry box, oil can and hand
pulling block. Power, welding machine, suspending machine should be prepared.
Contact observatory before lifting cap to ensure weather and humanity in requirement. Prepare
and make a record of and checking instrument. Spanner is wrapped with calico belt. All
instruments should be supervised. Welding machine, plastic clothing, fiberglass, epoxy stick and
working protection articles such as work uniform, oil suffering shoes without spike should be
prepared. Fire-fighting equipment should be equiped on the site. Guardline will be set.
b. cap lifting procedure
fill oil to eject nitrogen before checking. Keep cap static for 24 hours and then lift it by
discharging oil.
(a) discharging
Oil should be pumped in an hour. Oil is pumped below the top of core to observe conditions
inside. Mark down and sign the position of tap switch without load. Remove rotational parts and
fixing bolt and LV side down-lead bolt. Check whether lifting machine is well measured.
(b) lifting
When oil is discharged, remove bolts on the top of oiltank. Store them after account. From
bottom to top, four round steels should be revolved in the four-angle screw hole. Joint is un
clenched by crowbar. Stop after lifting to 100mm high either to fix bell or to check lifting center
and barycenter. If every thing goes well ,continue to lift. Two sides of bell should be supported to
protect loop from striking.
Articles such as key, coin, lighter and pen are forbidden bringing to transformer. Record the
using conditions.
c. content of checking
(a) screw should be fasten and kept firm. Bakelite bolt should kept well. Short, damaged bolts
should be changed in time.
(b) Core should be perfect and loosen to grounding. Test its insulation. No multi-point grounding
is permitted.
(c) check core screw, iron core, track and shim, insulation between and iron yoke.
(d) insulating layer of loop should be intact, fixed and no damp stain.
(e) loops should be placed in order. Gap bewteen them should be equal. Keep the oil passage
smooth. Fix the screw and screw cap. Keep insulating pad firm.
(f) insulating wind shield is colligated firmly to keep airproofed.
(g) down-lead should be insulated. No damage, no deformation. Keep frame firm. The naked
parts should have no fash and cusp.
(h) the connection between grounding of voltage switch equipment and loop should be correct
and firm. Tap should be clear. Contact is firm not to stuff 0.01mm feeler. Elasticity should be
well. Running joint is consistent with indicator. Running disc should be smart. Airproof should
be firm.
(i) check bottom of oil tank to make it clean and airproof conditions of butterfly valve on the bell.
(j) eligible oil is used to brush after checking. Then oil should be discharge.
(k) transformer electric test when lifting core should be carried out according to regulations.
(l) transformer fixing materials should be removed to avoid multi-grounding.
(m) when all is done, bell could be carefully lifted. Bottom of bell should be clean. It must aim at
the center when loading off. The speed should be slow, and people must support it. No crash
between box and loop. materials such as sticks should be inserted to four-angle screw when
shuting. Then bolt should be screwed firmly. This is done to the symmetry dirention of box lid.
(n) tap switch should be installed back
c. vaccum oiling
According to standard of electric equipments installation, vaccum oiling should be adopted in
110kV equipment. Speed of oil filling should be no faster than 100L/min. The gap between oil
and the top should be no less than 200mm or accord with manufacture standard. After filling,
vaccum and time should still be kept. 110kV equipment should be filled for no more than 2h.
This process should be under the shelter to protect damp.
Oil is filled through downside valve of transformer. Lifting cover time is counted from oil
discharging to oil filling. When relative humanity is lower than 75%, equipment should not be
exposed in the air longer than 16h.
(7) accessories fixing
a. hoist base installation
When installed HV bushing hoist base, Flange fixed on HV bushing hole for transporting on the
top of transformer cover should be offloaded.Check if there is an oil oozing in the outgoing line
equipment. The position of phase and gasket should be more concerned when liftng.
b. HV and LV bushing fixing
According to installation standards of HV bushing, HV down-lead of transformer should be
threaded carefully through HV bushing to fix gasket and rain screen when lifting.
c. installation of freezing machine
Freezing should accord with pressure, air pressure and oil pressure standard set by
manufacturer.This check process should last for 30min. Leakege is not allowed. Installation must
conform with the arrow direction signed by manufacturer.Check
d. oil conservator setting
Oil conservator is set on the bracket of the top of transformer. It is connected with transformer by
oil pipe. Gas relay should be installed and connected with valve. The arrow on the gas relay
should point to oil conservator. Fix sillicon air moisture absorder on the top of overflow pipe of
oil conservator firm. Before operation, proper oil is filled into bottom of moisture absorder untill
there is a sign of oil level.
e. tap switch installed
Tap switch is reinstalled on the primary shift after transformer bell is installed. Its installation
should follow the mark. Keep it running smoothly and satisfied with test validated.
f. control box installation
Check components in the box and arrange cables.
(8) secondary oil filling
Oil should be filled through special oil valve on the storage can. After that, air-bleeding should be
carried out in relative parts of transformer to exhaust remain gas. Airproof test shoul be done in
oil can by pressure or oil pressure. For common oil-immersed transformer, pressure should be
0.03Mpa. Testing time normally lasts 24h. No leakage.
(9) The whole test should conform with national standard GB50150-91.
2. SF6 breaker installation
(1) SF6 breaker should not be converted, crashed or fiercely vibarated.Installation is under
manufacturer standard.
(2) SF6 breaker should not be checked by disparting on the site. There is exception when defect
is found. But this must under guide of manufacturer after their permission.
(3) Check of components should be finished before firm installation. No more than 3 pieces pads
for underframe base.
(4) Install correctly and accord with standard of manufaturer to keep level and upright.
(5) Airptoof trough should be clean and intact. Used airproof pad can not be used. When painting
grease, it should not be flowed in to inside of airproof pad.
(6) Lifting instrument, lifting point and lifting procedure.
(7) Check leakage accord with regulations. The checking objects include tubes and valves in the
control box.
(8) Inflating procedure
(9) Vacuumizing is carried on by valve interface. Degree of vaccum should be lower than 3mm
mercury column. The purpose of vaccuminzing is to venting out damp inside and keep purity of
SF6 gas.
Vaccumizing is a key step for SF6 switch installation and decrease moisture. Time should be
controlled in 1h from sorbent adding to vacuumizing.
Procedure:
a. Time counting begins from degree of vacuum reaching to 1 torr (1mm mercury column).
b. Keep vacuum pump running at least above 30min.
c. Stop and move away the pump.Observe for 30min to read degree of vacuumn A.
d. After 5h, read degree of vacuum B to meet the requiremnt of B-A≤0.5 torr(limit 1torr);
e. Professional should inspect the process to protect back flowing by wrong operation.
(10) fill in nitrogen of high purity for 0.2-0.3Mpa(gauge pressure). Discharge nitrogen after 2h
later and vacuumize to lower than 1mm mercury column.
(11) test water of SF6 in the gas bottle before filling according to standard of leaving factory.
(12) Fill SF6 according to product regulations for each gas room. Test water to make sure
moisture capacity less than the permited.
a.filling gas procedure: 1.vacuumize 2. isolate vacuumn pump 3.turn on SF6 gas filling valve 4.
turn on cylinder valve 4. turn on the reducing valve 5. turn off the reducing valve after reaching
to rated pressure 6. turn off the high pressure valve 7. turn off SF6 gas filling valve 8. remove
tube and fit on cover.
b. test warter content in gas room 12h later after filling.
c. lesk detector should be grounded to avoid influence on accuracy from electric field.
(13) adjustment of air channel
a. turn off valves between unit outside and box
b. turn on breaker valve in the box and fill eligible SF6 gas. Observe gauge presure until reaching
to 0.35Mpa. Measure the connections of electric joints of every barometer. It is normal when
there is a lighting and alarming.
c. turn off air channel valve in the box and fill gas till 0.65Mpa. Measure the connections of
electric joints of every barometer and check reation from light and alarm bell. Breaker unit
barometer is considered to be normal if there is an reation.
d. stop filling gas
Turn on testing valve and discharge to 0.57Mpa. A connection point of breaker unit density relay
act. At the same time, lighting and alarm will show the normalty of gas filing loop. the first
connection point of disaggregation density relay continue to discharge to 0.55Mpa. When the
second point act、light and alarm act again, it means closed circle is normal.
e. Turn off breaker unit valve in the box to deflate gas to 0.25Mpa. When all density relay
connection points work、light and alarm act, each loop work normally.
f. get loops work again and raise the pressure of components to meet work need.
(14) fill SF6 to meet the technical pressure requirement. Test density relay and barometer.
(15) Check leak places by leak detector and deal with it.
(16) measure guide loop resistance. Every phase loop resistance should be in technical standard.
(17) test switching on and switching off under rated pressure
3. installation of mutual inductor
(1) Acessories should be complete. Oil level should be normal. Airproof should be closed firmly
and blowhole should be well through. After apperance checking and electric test are eligible,
installation should be carried out. Three phases should be adjusted to the same level, and centrol
line error among them should not be no bigger than 10mm.
(2) polarity of the same group of mutual inductors should be consistent. Position and polarity of
ratio tie-in should be in requirment. Secondary wiring should be tight. Insulation should be all
right.
(3) protective gap of current transformer should accord with regulations. Busbar should be layed
in the busbar-through current transformer. In zero sequence current transformer installation, truss
should not be used. other magnetizers directly connect with mutual transformer core or consist of
shunt loop with it.
(4) grounding should be obvious and reliable.
4. insulating switch installation
(1) check and clear. Acessories should be complete. The running parts should be smooth.
(2)Center, level, space among phases should be in technical requirement.
(3) three-phase linkage level tie bar is adjusted to fullfill synchroneity. After disconnecting switch
is on and contactor of three-phase linkage disconnecting switch , the discrepency should conform
with technical standards.
(4) Grounding knife should be installed and adjusted after .
(5) should be shuted smoothly. Their running parts should be besmeared with grease.
(6) limit sets should be correct and reliable. Closedown sets should be smart. Assitant switch
point should be fixed firm、correct and well contacted.
(7) Taper dowel of connection of tie bar should not be flexible and be welded too firmly.
5. matal oxid arrester
(1) check before installation
a. porceclain should be intact. cover and flange should be agglutinated firmly.
b. assembled components should be tested. Base and insulator should be well insulated.
c. Arrester should not be taken apart arbitrarily to avoid any damage.
d. security sets of metal oxide arrester should be intact.
(2) fullfill factory requirement when assembling.
(3) discharge recorder should be sealed up and work well. The position of it should be convenient
for recovering to zero.
(4) discharge channel of metal oxide arrester should be smooth. Gas discharged will not cause
flashover of phase to phase or grounding.
(5) oxide film and paint on the surface of arrester should be removed. Brush a layer of electric
composite paint.
5.6.5 Installation of Lightening Equipment

2. technical requirement
(1) tube arrangement
Twisted wire tube is arranged according to relative standards. Nozzle and channel should be
protected.
(2) nema wiring:
a. least section of insulated wire is 1mm2 (copper core)
b. No tie-in, wring. Well insulate.

c. wire total section  40% of tube section.


d. wiring should accord with chart.
e. Arrange firmly, insulating resistance should be above 0.5MΩ.

a. wire should be in designed reqiurement.
b. details:
No kink, bend and insulating layer damage. Wire should be straight, firm, layed evenly. Guide
tube is needed when wiring through walls and floors.There should be abundance for wire through
flex and subsiding slots .
c. Connection requirements:
No damage when cutting insulating barrier open. Trunk should not suffer horizontal force coming
from connecting points joined by branches. Tie-in should be wrapped by insulating belt. It should
be even, strict and no lower intensity.
(4) power distribution box setting:

e. the surface distance between naked current-carrying part (380V) and non-insulating part

(5) lighting instrument installtion
a. fittings should not be damaged. Wire should meet fixed standards
b. requirements for installation of lights、laterns、switches and jacks
Install evenly, firmly and correctly. Phase and wire are cut off by switches. Jacks of AC, DC or
different voltage on the same site should be obviously varied from each other..
c. wire of mental halid light should be connected by connecting column. Power source should not
close to its surface.
d. lights, laterns, triggers, current limiter should be matched to use.
e. base of floodlight should be fixed firm. Light axes direction meets practical requirement. Pivot
should be pinned tightly
f. illuminative light should be specially signed
5.6.6 The Earthing System
The earthing system installation mainly means the earthing of the station service transformer、the
electrical motor machine etc.
transformer neutral point and outer case grounding
The low-pressure side zero line, outer case grounding and resistance value of the transformer
should comply with the design requirements. The connection with the grounding line is by
galvanized flat steel and the steel hole on the equipment side should be fastened with earth stud
while welding will be adopted on the earth trunck line side with the welding length of twice flat
steel (also 3 ridge welded at least)
(2) electric machine shell grounding
The connection with the grounding line is by galvanized flat steel and the steel hole on the
equipment side should be fastened with earth stud while welding will be adopted on the earth
trunck line side with the welding length of twice flat steel (also 3 ridge welded at least)
(3) electric appliance metal outer case grounding
a. AC and neutral points non-grounding :the electric equipments metal outer case should be
connected with the grounding apparatus while the electric appliance and lighting facilities metal
case with the bottom seat.(see the grounding drawings )
b. the metal shell and non-sheathing shell,1-2 shield core thread of the metal metallic sheath
,steel pipe layed and cable bracket of the power cable and controlling cable should be
grounded .The grounding thread of the cable head through zero-phase current transformer should
be grounded through the mutual inductor ;the cable head metallic shell and cable metal skin in
front of the grounding point should be insulated from earth.
c. the metal truss equipped with the electric apparatus grounding
The grounding thread connection is doen by welding without any crack .The pipe grounding may
adopt ground clip and thread clip to connect.The grounding thread connected to electric
apparatus should use galvanized stud and the grounding thread connected with DC current
electric apparatus use metal structure .
(4) grounding for semi-equipment installation
The grounding part of the electric apparatus should be connected with the grounding trunk line
from the grounding line singular .The connection with several grounding parts on the grounding
line will not be permitted.
2. electric equipment grounding
The electric apparatus such as logic ground ,power ground ,security ground and signal ground
should comply with the design regulation and the requirements as bellows:
(1) the consolidation of grounding busbar should insulated with board and boxes.
(2) the large and medium computer should adopt the copper core insulator with conformed
section.
(3) grounding network or grounding resistance value should comply with design requirements..
3. Lightning rod(line,band)production and grounding
(1) lightning rod production
Before producing lightning rod, we may be familiar with the drawing, be sure that all the
operation is to accord with the draft, the materials up to grade, welding up to requirements and
pay attention to the lightning rod concentricity and measurement at random during putting
together and welding.
(2) the connection between the lightning rod and down lead adopt welding connection. The
fastness of the down lead and grounding device adopt galvanized production. When the stud non-
galvanized is used ,antisepticise measure should be adopted.
(3) Set up cut-off clip equipped with protection in the place 1.5-1.8mm away from each down
lead as the lightning measure on the architecture adopt many pieces of down lead..The down lead
should be layed along with the outer wall and grounding by a minimal path.
(4) Check the appearance to be sure that the appearance is normal and the basic layout is to pass
the check and acceptance method before lightning rod installation. The lightning rod and
grounding device installation adopt the construction procedure from up to down. The
concentrated grounding device is installed firstly, down lead secondly.
(5) The lightning rod installation is on the basis of the drawing and control strictly the instllation
gravity.
5.6.7 Communication System Equipment Installation
A. communication apparatus installation working range of the power station
1. program controlling dispatch machine, power wave carrier, wiring equipments and power
source apparatus.

3. communication cable ,branch box and phone,etc.
B. Equipment check and acceptance
1. The communication equipment ,apparatus and auxiliaries of the project check and acceptance
should comply with the contract technical conditions and standard requirements with record.
Deal with the equipment with defections before installation.
(2) The construction materials and devices purchased should be checked and be with the quality
testment. Substitutes should be permitted to use by the supervising engineer party.
C. installation requirements
1. All the concealed project should be checked according to the design drawing ahead of pouring
concrete. If there is something missed and incorrect ,we may report to the client and cooperate
with them to deal with.Take the effective measures to make sure the on-site condition clean and
to install under the fixed temperature ,humidity and dustness.
2. The communication system connection and test should be done on the basis of the design and
all the wiring cables ,consumer cables ,high frequency cables ,power cables and grounding cables
used for the communication system should be the complete base cable without junction.
3. Set up the distribution frame and cross-connecting box together for the dispatching machine
telephone switch board or other communication equipments equipped. The route should be
confirmed on the basis of principle mentioned as bellows and the special layout requirement for
different line layout ways: choose the obvious bound ,and keep the wiring area bound tidy: the
consumer of the wiring area are concentrated to distribute lines; the consumer in a same
dispatching machine telephone system should be assigned into a same wiring area ;the
partitioning of the wiring area should base on the cross-connecting box and power cable capacity
and in the convenience of the future wiring adjustment.
4. The line route will be confirmed generally according to the principle mentioned below and the
route layout special requirements:
(1) The line route should be short and straight, safe and stable for convenience of construction
and maintenance .
(2) keep the main cable route and wiring cable route in a same step in order for pulling up and
dispatching .
(3) Try to avoid from the cable destroyable part and decrease internal cross of other obstacles
such as other pipes.
5. The power cable position put in the pipe hole should keep uniform from front to back .the
usage order of the pipe hole is from down to up, from side to middle. The lower two sides holes
is suitable to use for main power cable and mid-continual power cable. Each tube hole should put
one power cable.
5.6.8 Electric Device Test
1. debug work regulations
(1) the technical quality of the debug staffs
a. debug leading official
(a) possess university diploma or more professional theoretical level and three years or more
practical debug experiences.
(b) be familiar with and grasp the power station electric device and computer supervising and
controlling system working principle ,debug method and requirements.
(c) Apply expertly with the power station electric device and computer supervising and
controlling system debug mode and the country standard and field standard quoted inside the
regulations
(d) be responsible for compiling the hydraulic station electric device and computer supervising
and controlling system debug brief and test measurements.
(e) be familiar and grasp all the apparatus ,meter used in debug and debug equipment theory,
functions and usage.
(f) arrange and guide debug staff to do debug work.
(g) solve the common technical problems occurred in debug independently 、 verify and collect
the debug record and conclusion.
b. debug personnel
(a) possess the college diploma or equaled or more professional theoretical level and one year or
more practical working experiences .
(b) be familiar with the power station electric device and computer supervising and controlling
system working principle ,debug method and requirements
(c) know about the power station electric device and computer supervising and controlling
system debug regulation and country standard and field standard .
(d) use correctly the apparatus ,meter and debug equipments in debug.
(e) examine ,calculate and fill in parameters and data correctly inside the debug project.
(2) debug meter and apparatus
a. the debug ,apparatus meter in the construction unit and the specification ,quantity ,variety and
measure accuracy of the equipment and tools should satisfy the different type power station
electric device and computer supervising and controlling system debug needs.
b. all the apparatus and meter of the debug should pass the third class or more by the examination
of the electric meter unit measure till grade.
(3) debug personnel technical training and test technical measure in test.
a. Before debug the debug manager should arrange the staff to study the theory with practice
such as the design drawing ,production specification ,debug method and meter, apparatus usage
way and operation and so on .The production factory and design unit should do the technical
coordination before power station debug for the same model device of the first suit.
b. the debug of power station electric device and computer supervising and controlling system
should be done after the basic completion and through three-check conformity. The three-check
policy and quality management should be implemented during the whole debug process.
c. compile the commissioning prescript and experiment measure on the basis of regulation and
standard which list the test items and confirm test steps and ways .Confirm the position of the
supervising point in the test or examined hole number and actual measure allowance deviation
,the special apparatus ,meter specification in the test.
d. Do the debug initial report and debug test report according to the relative clauses offered in the
power station electric device and computer supervising and controlling system regulations.

5.6.9.1 supervisory control system installation
1. The supervisory control system of the power station includes 7 area units,2 sets of main engine
and operator workstation ,1 set of engineer station and emulation training workstation ,one set of
factory terminal and two sets of telecommunication servicer ,one set of print service and two
prints and control desks and so on.
2. All the system is a gradation distributing opening system, the quadruplet arrangement of the
machine unit LCU is beside powerhouse .The switch station LCU and public LCU arrangement
is inside the central controlling chamber of the auxiliary room.The main machine and operating
station ,engineer station and imitation training station and telecommunicating servicer
arrangements in the computer room of the auxiliary room.The factory director terminal
arrangement is in his own office.
5.6.9.2 supervising system debug
1.the functions of hydroelectric station computer supervising system
The central controlling chamber computer setting and operating station share the same or
isolated one ,double machine redundancy device, automatic change-over device and clock
synchronizing system .It is mainly responsible for generating electricity of power plant machine
sets controlling, auto voltage controlling (AVC),limit over and condition changing accent alarm ,
event order recording, integrated data processing ,trend record analysis ,event settlement
reminding and automatic settlement of sound ,light ,phone image alarm and so on. It also
includes making out invoice of the operating ticket , appearing ,editing and printing ,all kinds of
report forms calling up and timing printing ,communicating with present terrain_class LCU and
the functions of man machine interface.
The terrain-grade computer or hypogyny machine is responsible for machine sets sequential
control ;terrain data collection and arrangement; switching station ,public utility control, safety
supervision ,event sequential detection and transmission ;terrain operation and supervision ;quasi
synchronization of machine sets. The communication with the main chamber : transmit the data
collected by LUC to the main-controlling grade computer correctly, receive the controlling
demand from the main-controlling computer and echo the result to it.
The engineer station ,functions as protecting supervising system and expiring system software
and editing ,repairing application software ;train the working and manage staffs in the plant
;supervisory controlling system gateway with the outside functions etc.
2. computer supervisory controlling system debug
After the equipments installation and making other equipments which is not included in this
installation abundant safety precautions, adjust the computer supervisory controlling system then
due to the safety operating regulation strictly to ensure the debug may not influence other
equipments working and the safety of the staffs who are examining and installing .the debug
including:
(1) circuit examine
According to the computer supervisory controlling system drawings from the factory and
designing institute, check the inner and outer connections carefully .check till the interface
terminal of the computer supervisory controlling system as for checking the outer connection. Be
sure all kinds of sensors , transmitters and meter connection lines are correct and power source
circuit ,twice circuit insulation resistance, and earth resistance conform to the requirements.
(2) switching on apparatus
Switching on and starting item by item and step by step. Check the running condition ,network
configuration and internet applications. After starting , check and diagnose the working condition
of the running system and the complete system.
(3) test
the computer supervisory controlling system continually and completely and confirm the ///time
due to technic agreement requirements .Arrange the professionals to guard and pay attention to
the equipment temperature ,working condition and ///condition.
Or it will be done after other debugs of the system completion, which combines with the 72-hour
commissioning of the turbine .The time will be fixed according to the ordering technical
conditions of the computer supervisory controlling system and spot plan .
(4) the software application debug
Check the central chamber supervisory screen ,running report forms ,historical measuring point
definition ,event report forms ,operating keyboard definition ,voice alarm sentences ,operating
ticket functions data-base definition, AGC, AVC controls parameter and boundary condition,
outer communicate data,
(5) input/output (1/0)joint debug and check
Debug the input and output joint end correspondingly on the basis of schematic of the back
circuit for each LCU :
Input /output (DI/DO)check: kick the simulation actual transporting signal of the supervisory
controlling system joint terminal to be sure that the local LCU can receive the signal; if the
system demand ,each of output amount should have the reliable signal outlet ,the corresponding

The simulation amount input check and debug: import the corresponding signal on the basis of
the needs ,choose the different points from the smallest to the largest range to examine to see
whether the calculation correct or not and the measure deviation of the system should accord
with the regulation and skill requirements .
The simulation export check and debug: the simulation amount export of the power station is to
provide for governor and excitation device controlling adjust without the simulation amount
import control fixed .So the simulation amount export check examination of the supervisory
controlling system is done according to the system device from the export demand of the system
and adopt the corresponding examine apparatus such as oscilloscope on the basis of signal form .
Pulsed quantity import check and debug : import the corresponding signal ,check the received
condition and set the calculation formula on the basis of the kilowatt-hour meter technical
parameters .Examine to be sure the measure deviation should be with the regulation and technical
requirements .
(6) singular point linkage test
The workload and external factors involved are very large in the singular linkage test and debug
process ,so every point of the linkage test will be treated well and carefully .Examine each
apparatus action condition and feedback signal correctness from demand out of the operation
station of the power station center chamber linked with the local instruments .the qualitative
analysis from the original terminal import signal will be done for CT,PT and simulation amount
backcircuit .The linkage items are as bellows:
The unit controlling LCU :the unit auxiliary instrument control such as the lubricating oil
pump ,high voltage jack oil pump ,governor oil pump ,leakage pump ,generator cooling wind
machine ,generator mechanism brake ,electric valve ,generator switch ; all sorts of unit signals
such as current ,voltage ,frequency ,temperature ,lubrication oil flow amount and instrument
action position signals and set protection system.
The switch instrument controlling LCU unit: direct current system, factory power supply
system ,leakage drainage pump ,repairing water drainage pump ,compressor,trash rack rake
differential pressure and upper and lower beam water level system.
(7) corresponding device simulation test
Switching station instrument controlling LCU unit: all the brakers, isolation knives, earth knives ,
CT, PT signals and cable protection system inside of the switching station .
The center chamber fixed with simulation screen, examine the simulation screen meter indicator
and signal indicator in the singular point linkage test process.
The corresponding device is important in the supervisory controlling system and the
corresponding deviation will destroy the power station unimaginable .Use the protection measure
meter to export 100 V voltage simulation set PT voltage and governor to adjust the system
voltage to 100V simulation system PT voltage in the process of debug .With safety
measurements start-up the corresponding procedures to compare with the qualified
corresponding meter to be sure that the corresponding device should judge and measure system
side voltage ,set side voltage and catch the corresponding points correctly.
This test can also be done under the state of all the corresponding conditions available
(8) sequential control flow test
Step into the sequential control flow test after the singular linkage test. A complete flow test with
the local instruments will be done for each segment flow. Change the instruments flow
unsatisfied in time .
(9) The main flow of the set LCU is the set auto-braker earth knife, isolation knife linkage
operation procedures.
The main flow of the set is the set auto open /close sequential flow, running supervisory flow,
emergency stop flow, event stop flow .Use the signal generator simulation governor to transport
signals as the set is in quiet state in simulation test. The test projects are :stop to empty run, then
to electricify and net merging ,to run unload, then to stop, emergency stop procedures and finally
to event stop procedures.
The public instrument LCU: the pump automatic running, factory power supply standby self-
commissioning.
(10) other system telecommunication joint debug
The debug will be done according to the design with the communication contract negotiated at
the time of the design. The computer supervisory controlling system of the bulb turbinar power
station and the governor system and excitation system all adopt the telecommunication RS 232,
RS485 to communicate.

6. Water-supply, Drainage and Fire Fighting System

6.1 Water-supply ,Drainage and Fire Fighting System Installation


1. pipe branches and hangers making
(1) The pipe branches and hangers models, materials, processing specification precision and
welding should conform to the design requirements ;the bottom of the branches should be flat, be
without convex spot and burr; check the appearance to be sure there is no missing weld, lack of
weld, crack and slot ,and rectify the welding defecti; ons .
(2) Clear up the welding dregs and remove rust, treat with the zinking with heat.
2. the antisepsis of the pipe branches and hangers
(1) The zincification pipe of DN<100mm use thread to connect and cover thread around the
outer part after the installation ,and brush epoxyzincrich lacquer; the DN=100mm zincification
pipe use flange to connect ,weld the damaged parts of the layer ,and use auto-steel runner and
steel brush to clear ,spur the zinc on site and brush again lancquer to cover zinc spured layer.

(2) the DN100mm steel pipe use flange to connect ,each of segment is 5—6m.

(1) The carrying and protection should accord to the principle of ‘protect the zincification layer’,

bell mouth should be any crack, deflection or different thickness. The pipe connector plug must
plug in efficiently and the connected length of the joint should be with the requirement.
(4) Set up the galvanized steel bushing as the tube go through the wall, add up elastic materials
between them
(5) Burying the ground lay, the depth and slope should accord with the design requirement with
the continual holders in the bottom in order not to contact with other hard thing and tube directly.
The interface within 0.2m should not fill in for filling earthwork in the convenience of observing.
Carrying in from the two sides of the groove bisymmetry, any direct throwing and centralizing
carrying should not be allowed.
6. valve pressure test
(1) The closed circuit valve with the functions of cutting down installed onto the pipe branches
should be testified the intension and leakage. Check at random 10% of other valves, at least one
of them should be tested the pressure-resistance intension ,check 20% if there is any leakage
occurred, or check continually .
7. floor-draining and drainpipe installation
(1) The floor-draining installation elevation is at the benchmark of the ground decoration
elevation, lower than 5mm the ground.
(2) After the floor-draining locating and flatting, fill into the prekeeping holes with the soluble
glass concrete and cement concrete.
(3) If there is intersecting the platform and other instruments, use the elbow to avoid from it with
the limit of wheel instruments when install the floor –draining pipelines.
8. vale and accessories installation
(1) All the valve should be with the acceptance certificate, check the appearance whether there is
holes or cracks before installation. The hand board must work flexibly at the closure and start.
(2) Install the valve after the consolidating the pipe and check the installation position, be sure
there is no mistake of the enter and exit direction and stable joint.
(3) Clear up after installation and adopt the temporary protection measurement
(4) Consolidate the flexible pipe with brackets in order not to let it bear the steel weight.
9. flex segment installation
(1) According to the produce description, adjust the residual shrinkage within deviation no more
than 5mm.
(2) Be with the same concentricity of the pipe and without deflection.

10. water-supply instruments such as pump installation
a. pump seat installation
The pump seat is basic in the pump group .Before installation; use the theodolite to confirm the
circle and level meter to measure the seat installation elevation according to earthwork
coordinate. Burry 4-6 pieces of δ=10mm pallets evenly on the basis, and put several chock
boards on the corresponding position of the pad. Adjust the pump circle, elevation with the chock
board. And the frame level meter to measure .The center of the pump circle, elevation, level must
confirm to requirements as bellows:
(2) preparation for pump installation:
(a) center deviation〈3mm
(b) elevation deviation〈±3mm
(c) level difference 〈0.07/1000mm
Then consolidate the pump seat under the supervision of the level meter ,after the acceptance by
the headquater,pass it over to ..
a. The pump shaft degree is no more than 0.05mm
b. The impeller and shaft sleeve end is vertical with the axes.
c. The gap between the seal ring and pump barrel radial single side ,limit is 0.00~0.03mm

level measurement should be external-extension parts of the pump and the processing section of
the bottom seat.

deviation no more than 0.1mm;the level deviation of the bearing no more than 0.20.2 ㎜ /m
horizontally and 0.1㎜/m vertically.
11. system debug

The pressure test of the pipe system should be done separately, the length of each segment is no
more than 1.0km, the test pressure of the steel tube should be P+0.5Mpa of the design, no less
than 0.9Mpa.the test pressure of the cast iron pipe; when the design pressure is P0.5Mpa, the
test pressure is 2p; the design pressure P0.5Mpa, the test pressure is P+0.5Mpa; when the water
pressure rise to the test pressure, the stable pressure 10min and the tube without any breakage are
up to grade .
12. the water-supply and water-drain pipe flushing and preserving
(1) Do the simulation test for the electromotor valve ,and examine with the control system to be
sure that the operating mechanism can work flexibly
(2) the flushing requirements for pipes: flush with water at the flowing speed of no less than
1.0m/s continually until the turbidity and colority of the exit is same with of the entrance .
(3) The corrosion protection should be complete before installation ,the connected place will be
installed after the acceptance check .And clear up the rust ,sundries ,burrs ,oil and water and so
on before construction.
6.2 Factory Room Fire Extinguishing System
6.2.1 Preparation
The engineer in-charge will preside and organize the preparation work
1. Arange the group members to learn, be familiar with the map and regulations and exchange
opinion according to the construction and technics and safety work .

6.2.2 Measure, Mark and Position Fixing
According to the basic level provided from the owner and each layer of decoration plane line
confirmed by the measurement and according to the on-site sending thread by the map ,.confirm
the installation position of the dirt pump and tube holders, the place of pipe tunnel digging ,pipe
pier building. Examine the comprehensive tube map, if there is problem occurred, adjust in time
in order to avoid from crushing .
6.2.3 Pipe Pier Building and Pipe Holders Installation
1. pipe pier building
The position o f the pipe pier is main the level main tube branch holders of the fire extinguishing
system. the pipe pier uses clay brick and cement mortar. Concrete the tube base on the top of the
pier, the tube pier should be fastened .the gap of the pier should be done according to the map
and regulations. Clear up all the sundries after the pipe pier building completion.
2. confirm the gap of the steel tube holders
(1) tube erection. The height of floor ≤5m, set up one pipe rack; the height >5m, set up more than
two pipe racks
(2) set up one water-supply pipe every 6m, set up a pulley pipe rack every 4m for the fire
extinguishing straight pipes, add more pipe racks if there is pipe fitting vave or at the bending
place, if there is without indication, set up it according to the chart as bellows .

6.2.4 Pipe Installation

drawing again and lap over with other cables and the actual constructional height on the graded
crossing place to certify whether the actual constructional height conflict with the other
pipelines .If there is a confliction ,report to the supervising engineers to solve the problem on-site
to ensure the construction quality and construction progress.
6.2.5 Valve and Valve Accessories Installation
(1) All the valve should be with the acceptance certificate, check the appearance whether there is
holes or cracks before installation. The hand board must work flexibly at the closure and start.
(2) Install the valve after the consolidating the pipe and check the installation position ,be sure
there is no mistake of the enter and exit direction and stable joint.
(3) Clear up after installation and adopt the temporary protection measurement
(4) Consolidate the flexible pipe with brackets in order not to let it bear the steel weight .
(5) The installation position of the pressure gauge should be correct, solid and without leakage.
Examine one by one before construction then install after lead sealing.
6. valve pressure test

of them should be tested the pressure-resistance intension, check 20% if there is any leakage

(2) The intention and leak test pressure should be the pressure stated by the factory.
6.2.6 Fire-fighting Apparatus Installation
(1) Before installation, check the instruments type, acceptance certificate, accessories and so on.
(2) Before installing the closure, examine the appearance quality.
(3) The closure installation should mate with the decoration closely, be sure not to damage the
decoration section and the seam should be tidy and beautiful.
(4) The upper and lower angle horizontal displacement of the hydrant and flushing bolt closure is
no more than 2mm.
(5)The pressure-resistance strength test should be done before the hydrant installation Check at
random 10% of other valves ,at least one of them should be tested the pressure-resistance
intension ,check 20% if there is any leakage occurred ,or check continually with notes.
(6)The position of the hydrant should be correct, flexible and strict .the hydrant mouth direct out
and the distance of the center of the mouth away from the decoration section should satisfy with
the requirements.
(8)The portable fire extinguisher should be collocated on the basis of models, quantities and
position.
6.2.7 Pipeline Pressure Test
The pressure test of the fire-fighting and water-supply pipe lines should be done separately. The
outer pressure bearing pressure is 1.5MPa, keep ten minutes ,the drop should be no more than
0.05MPa, then drop to 1.0MPa and keep it for 60 minutes to be sure there is no leakage. In the
process of water-supply temporarily, check as filing water, if there is any leakage then we stop to
eject the pipe line air through the air-ejecting valve.
6.3 Automatic Fire Alarm System Installation.
1. construction method
(1) Confirm the pipeline laying direction and pipe box arrangement according to the design map
and circuit connected order and connected means. Use the thread gripper as the pivot to
consolidate, set up one point every 1.0-1.5m at the place of 0.2 m away from the line box and the
place of the direction changing turn. The vertical direction is along with the wall and horizontal
direction is fixed by the gripper. According to related requirements ,use the screw of the length
of no less than 1/2 of the pipe jointed end .After the connection, the screw should appear 2-3
button place .Use the thread button to connect the pipeline with thread box. The outer side is with
a nut and the inner side with a protected nod. The whole pipe construction should be with a same
benchmark and be tidy with other wall and other pipelines vertically or horizontally. Imbrue a
fire-refractory coating and weld to one unit with all circuit pulling thread steel pipe.
(2) lines laying
Before laying clear up the seeper and sundries inside the tube and sharp brim to avoid of line
damages. Examine the type and electric pressure of the cable according to the relative regulation.
Different system, different electric pressure grade, different current and different back circuit
should not be pulled into a same tube and the distance must be no less than 0.5m. There should
not be any joint or knot inside the tube. The joint of the lead should be connected with terminals
or be welded inside box. Lapping over in the midway will not be allowed.
The lines laying construction should be done on the basis of <<automatic fire alarm system
diagram>>and the related automatic fire alarm plane chart to be sure the connected lines
correctness .Use the pulling machine to pull on thread to improve efficiency.
Leave an adequate length in the line jointed place without cutting off the lead in order for the
simulation test. Use the megameter to examine the cycle circuit against earth with the insulation
resistance of no less than 15 MΩ.
The detector installed on the ceiling (guide down from the apical plate )will be protected by the
metallic flexible hose.
(3) module box, alarm button, telephone hole erection and connection
The module box installation should be straight and flat, stable and solid, and also reliable. Add a
steel flexible hose to protect the cable leaded from the connection box to the module box within
the length limit of no less than 1m of the metal flexible hose .The module box hemline is 1.6m
away from the earth. As the adoption of 16phases or 8phases module box ,the lines from the
module to supervisory instrument are centralized, the pulling on insulation lead or the cable
cross-sectional area should not be more than 40 % . The cables from the module box to
supervisory or controlling instrument may use the multi-through wire arrangement. “ +”Is red,
“-”is black .
The handy alarm button should be fixed stable and without any deflection in the place away from
the ground 1.5m with the telephone plug placed beside the button, with the outer lead left no less
than 10cm and with an obvious mark on the end , “+”means red color and “-” is yellow.
(4) fire alarm control panel installation and connection
The fire alarm control panel should be fixed onto the wall with 1.8m away from the top to the
ground. There should be some place left 0.5m away from the two sides or with other instruments.
1.2m away from the front operating .
The requirements for the controlling panel cables.
a. The wiring should be tidy,clear ,beautiful,without crossing and fixed .and the terminal board
should not bear press from the outside mechanism.
b. record the serial number for the cable core and lead terminal, the number should be with the
map and be printed clearly and without color fading
c. Each of the joint of the terminal board should not be more than two.
d. There should leave the cable core and lead for surplus
e. colligate the lead into bunches in order no to misconnect
f. choke up after lead pulling up in order not to fall down dirt and water. Twine it in order not to
mechanical bruise .
g. The power source of the control panel should adopt “fire fight “with the red mark clearly and
not easy to fall.
h. The control panel should connect with the earth with an obvious mark.
(5) The detector installation and connection
According to the formal mark, check the installation position again to ensure it cam meet with
the construction requirements before installing the detector .The distance from the detector to the
wall and beam should not less than 0.5m;there should not be any obstacles 0.5m inside the
detector; the distance to the air conditioner wind-supply side no less than 1.5m,not less than 0.5m
from the ceiling. Demand the design department to change if the position designed can not meet
with the regulation.
2 is patch the detector base seat to confirm the hole place by it before installation. Slip the
expansion stuff into the hole place and fasten it with wooden screw after nailing holes with churn
drill. The connection should be with a reliable pressure ,+ means red color and – means blue .The
outer lead of the detector should be left no less than 15cm with an obvious mark at the beginning
place .The back circuit connection should use the parallel connection ,the connection with T
shape will not be allowed in the alarm circuit cable connection. The detector should be kept well
without dirt, moisture, corrosion before installation .The way to protect the detector is to cover
the orange protection hood to avoid the head of the detector from dirt during the period from
installation to acceptance check.
The cable from the connection box to the detector base seat should use the metal soft tube with
the length of no more than 1m to protect.
2. automatic fire alarm system debug
(1) basic requirements
a. The debug work should be done after architecture interior decoration and system installation
with a completion report paper.
b. Before the debug of the automatic fire alarm system ,the documents mentioned below will be
provided by the company who do the job of debug

Check the main and stand-by power source of the system to ensure the capacity should be accord
with the standards and after the charging and discharging for three times of the stand-by power
source, the main one should be exchanged automatically with the stand-by.

Use the multimeter to examine the inlet line and outlet line of the plus and minus cable to ensure
that there should not be any earthing ,open circuit and short circuit and other influence from the
outside pressure from the controlling modules to the the controlling equipments managed by the
modules.

Check the detector, handy alarm button, fire extinguishing control instruments. fire extinguishing
telephone, fire extinguishing telephone-jack, sensitive temperature electric cable separately
before the system debug.
d. controller function check
According to China standard GB4717<<fire alarm controller general technical conditions
>>relative requirements, we may check the functions of the controller as bellows after system
electricify.

With the electricity supplied by the main and stand-by power source separately to examine all

(3) 44hours working test
After the completion of the instruments debug, working continually for 144hours smoothly,
filling in the debug report according to the <<fire automatic alarm system construction
acceptance regulations>>appendix .
3. fire extinguishing system check and test
Fire extinguishing pump start-up test, safety valve operation test, fire hydrant water column test.
Fire extinguishing flux is 20L/s(1.2m3/min), observe the water gauge and turn on the four fire
extinguishing simulation fire extinguishing at the same time to see whether it will be up to the
designed flux.

7. Ventilation and Air Conditioner System Installation

7.1 Technique Requirements


(1) All the instruments and parts of the ventilation air conditioner and smoke evacuation system
should be ordered on the basis of the type and specification offered by the designer .any change
will be approved by the supervisory engineer.Apart from the instruments and parts sealed with
lead note “dno dispatch” from the factory, check, clear all others such as; functions, parameters,
size, and usage specification. Check all sorts of functions to see whether they meet the index or
not. Hand over these records to the supervising engineer after completion.
(2) Guide blade: the contractor should provide and fix the guide blade which are made on the
basis of the design requirements of preventing from vibration and flutter for the rectangle elbow.
The gap among blades should accord with <<air pipe fittings drawing chart>>.
(3) air-duct: the air tube should be flat and straight, smooth inside, the joint place sealed well,
there should be holes left for all the through-wall air tubes, seal the clearance around with mortar
with the flat surface.
(4) the air tube holders and hangers should be made and installed on the standard of T607
(5) The fire damper fixed to the air tube and the wall should move flexibly and correctly
(6) the auxiliary instruments and pipes, ventilation air conditioner system should be installed
according to the design map. The craft and quality of the construction should meet with the skill
requirements of the regulation.
7.2 Instrument Installation
1. wind-mechine installation
(1) The assembly position of the impeller stator with the engine case should be correct; the depth
from the impeller inlet to the wind-mechine case inlet or the seal loop should accord with the
instrument technical documents principle ,or 1/100 of the impeller outside diameter
(2) the floor used to install the vibration isolation machine should be flat, the compressed amount
loaded by each group of the vibration isolation machine should be equal and evenly with the
height deviation less than 2mm.
(3) The constructional form and external dimensions of the vibration isolation steel holders and
hangers used for wind machine installation should be accord with the design requirements , be
welded firmly with the satiety and equal welded bead.
2. air conditioner installation
(1) each of the function segment should assembly on the basis of the order and requirements
offered by the design with a close connection and flat integer.
(2) The connection of the group machine and return pipe –supply should be correct and the water
seal height of the lower condensation water discharge pipe should be with the requirements.
(3) clear up the units to be sure there is no sundries, dirt of garbage .
(4) the air filter and air heat exchanger wings of the units should be clean and perfect .
3. wind machine and air conditioner start-up test
The twice wiring layout should be done after the wind machine and air conditioner installation.
The galvanizing test will be done on the basis of the correct wirings and insulation value. Check
whether the running sound and start-up current is normal or not, the wind direction of the wind
machine is correct or not and every loop and running indicator correct or not
7.3 Air-dust Installation
The electric welded steel pipeΦ500×4.5, Φ450×4.5 will be adopted in this project.

(3) The constructional form and materials of the air-dust holders should be chosen according to
the stress bearing condition of the drawing volume T616.
4. air-dust installation
(1) Divideф529 steel pipe into several segments and make notes according to the map. Set up the
condole point in the installation place of the air-dust, condole to the hanging holders with the
hemp rope or hand pulling block. Connect the air-dust and flange with bolt.
(2) the air tube joint should be flat without and defection. the level deviation for the air tube level
installation is 3/1000, the overall deviation is no more than 20mm, the two connected end surface
of the tube with flange should be level and rigor with galvanized washer added to the flange bolts
two sides. Increase more contacted place of branches: hangers and level air tubes. The distance of
holder branches should be no more than 3m for air tube vertical installation.
5. air-duct clearing
Check the segments of the air-duct fist after the ductwork installation to clear up the sundries
inside the tube. Turn on wind machine to clear the air tube after being sure that there is not
sundries which will influence the machine. Do the next procedure of air duct air port installation
after the complete clearing up.

8. Bulb Turbine Units Commissioning

According to <<turbine generator construction technical regulation>>(GB8564-88),<<bulb


turbine units start-up test regulation>>(DL/T827-2002)requirements,compile <<commission
procedures>>and <<commission regulations>>for different type of units to report to the
supervising engineer or commissioning committee to approve.
1. preparation
(1) fulfill the commission organization ,specialists ,operating personnel and examine staff.
(2) Establish “two tickits three policies”rules according to <<electric utility safety working
regulation >>,instruments circular inspection and shift work institutions.
(3) fulfill the facilities ,materials and tools
(4) Complete installing tail water gate ,inlet gate and make and brake machine and being
inspected ,clear up the interval channel ,inlet well and water constructions and pass in check.
(5) Finish installing the oil,water and air system to meet with the design requirements, the fire
extinguishing of the factory: illumination, telecommunication and ventilation should all accord
with the requirements.
(6) Be sure that: oil pressure device should pass the test after adjust, microcomputer governor
debug finished ,excitation device debug from the open ring ,the units automatic back circuit
parts pall the single machine simulation test with the formal action ,the local processor of the
supervising system accord with the requirements after debug simulation.
(7) Be sure: All the electrified parts insulation meets the requirements, finish installing the
generator instruments and passing test.
(8) the earth resistance of the whole factory should satisfy with the requirements
(9) the electric equipments non-used for this commission should be protected ,isolated and
charged .
2. Try run on items
(1) water filling test
Charge air after the channel inspection completion, sealing inlet holes ,water-draining system
pump and oil, water and air system working formally, governor draft instruments in full closure
and the brake wind gate of the generator in a state of handy movement.Lift the tail water gate to
fill water, check the runner chamber, flexible ribben and main axis seal and leakage condition
;start the tail water twice in quiet water to see whether it can work normaly or not ;lift the water
filling valve to fill water into channel till the pressure level, check check the channel and bulb
seal and leakage conditions ;lift tail water and water inlet gate.
(2) manual turn-on
The manual turning on will be adopted for the first time with the running switch kept in the
“manual” position, the turning on procedures as bellows: start up the guide blade starting units
gradually, stopping for a short time after the running speed at 50%ne, change to the rated speed
after being at normal state and measure the generator rutial pressure and phases;watch the
bearing temperature, units vibration ,pendulum degree, running speed and water pressure
parameters. Watch again, if there is metal collision sound, water filled into turbine, thrust tile
temperature rising suddenly, thrust oil slot reflecting or the oil machine pendulum degree widely
too far ,turning off to be treated. Try the governor test after 4-5 hours working normally till stable
tile temperature.
(3) governor test
The exchange test from “manual to automatic ”and idling disturbance test will be done under the
governor no-load condition; the idling disturbance requirements ① disturbance amount is ±8%; ②
the maximum overshoot of the running speed no more than 30% ③ the overshoot no more than
twice
(4) units overspeed test
The exchange test from “manual to automatic ”and idling disturbance test will be done under the
governor no-load condition; the idling disturbance requirements ① disturbance amount is ±8%;
②the maximum overshoot of the running speed no more than 30% ③the overshoot no more than
twice
Increasing the speed to 160%ne with the governor kept in “manual “position and operation
limit.examine the pendulum degree ,vibration ,tile temperature and overspeed protection relay
movements condition during increasing speed.Turn off to check again after overspeed.
(5) automatic turning on and turning off test
Operate turning on and off automatically in the controlling chamber and units LCU and watch
the automatic components action conditions in the process of turning off.
(6) generator short circuit test
Connect three phases short circuit lines outside of the generator outline measure CT, close the
excitation-extinguishing switch of the excitation device: adjust the separating excitation to do
increasing current test, record the generator short circuit characteristics and differential protection
vector diagram and dry the generator short circuit with necessary.
(7) the main and changing short circuit current flow
Do the current increasing test with the connection of three phases short circuit lines on the main
and changing high voltage side ,being under the exit of the main and changing, generator
protection and jump resistance measure of the high and low voltage breaker and generator outlet
breaker. Eximine the current gauge correctness and record the differential protection vector
diagram.
(8) generator di current leakage test
The test of 2.5 times rated voltage direct current bearing as checking for the generator stator
winding with necessary.
(9) generator increasing voltage and excitation device closed loop debug
The manual adjust excitation is from zero, check the charged equipment of the generator working
situation under the 50 % , 100 % rated voltage, measure the meter and relay action indicator:
examine PT twice voltage and phase and end voltage frequency characteristic, check excitation-
extinguisher switch action situation and time constant and record the idling characteristics.
The idling voltage setting of the excitation device: 10 % stepped test ,device protection setting
and simulation and step check , debug and other test should be done
(10) rising voltage
a) 10kV busbar powering on instruments and main transformer should have no abnormality
b) instruments, relays should work fine. Measure PT secondary voltage and phase.
c) check synchronous loop voltage and phase
Switch off the main change high voltage, switch on the low voltage relay, generator outlet relay
and generator excitation –extinguisher .Adjust manually the excitation to rise pressure from zero
and stop to watch under 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%rated voltage.
(11) full voltage flushing of main transformer test
Use the system voltage to test flushing under idling state for 5 times every 10min each, check the
normal or not and differential protection and gas protection movement and the power distribution
unit of the high voltage and examine the corresponding back circuit voltage and phases.
(12) synchronizing net unity test
Check the corresponding back circuit correctness: turn off the generator outlet isolated switch
and do the simulation synchronizing net merged test. The synchronizing net merged experiment
will be done formally after the simulation.
(13) units load and load reflection test
After net merging adjust the excitation and guide blade openness: active and reactive load
separately. Increasing the load gradually and watch the working and vibration situation of all the
parts gradually.
Do the test of load reflection under 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% rated load. Watch the units, governor
and excitation working situation and write down the records
Do the damp closure guide blade test under the load of 100%
Low oil pressure emergency shutdown test under 100% load.
(14) 72 hours load test
Rise to the rated load(or maybe the maximum load of less than rated load) after net merging
.Observe comprehensively the units running characteristics and record the related data after 72
hours running.

9.2.1 Principal
1. Project manager’s responsibility
(1) In terms of the quality policy, target and the relevant management regulations, basis on the
clauses of the contract and the quality management system of the Jinnah project.

Regulations].
(3) Be responsible for the safety and good housekeeping.

2. Project chief engineer responsibility
(1) Take charge of the technical works of the project office in terms of the relevant national codes
and regulations.
(2) Issue and audit the management regulations of the office follow the quality policy, target and
the Q/C management system.
(3) According with the construction contract issue the construction layout, audit the construction
scheme, workmanship. And issue the technical coordination paper.
(4) Attend the meeting with the designing dept. the third part supervision company for the
construction drawing audit and the quality control.
(5) Be responsible of any technical, quality and safety working.
(6) Be responsible of the works acceptance and the quality evaluation.

3. Engineers responsibilities

equipment from the designing dept. or the unit equipment manufacture factory. And prepare
the technical paper to the chief engineer for auditing.
(3) Communications between the working groups being done through the technical coordination

(4) The special technical training will be taken for all staff due to the project characteristics

(5) Record the faulty dimension of the equipment during installation works, and report to client
or the third part supervision dept. nothing be done until the resolution come.

(3) If any short of or revise to add/ subtraction part of the works will see the revision papers
issued by the official designing department.

3. Drawing auditing steps
(1) The project chief engineer preside the auditing with the engineers, if it is necessary the chief
engineer and the technique dept. will be invited for this job.
(2) the drawing auditing report will be give to the third part supervision department and the
design department.
(3) The professional engineer will contact the design dept. for the drawing auditing report.
4. Check up the construction drawing, compile the construction scheme and the technique
coordination.
(1) The profession engineer will check up the drawing accuracy, competition and particularity
should match the works.
(2) Any questions, mistakes will be reported to the design department for clarification or revision
paper.
(3) Prepare the construction scheme and the technique coordination paper for the main works
process and the key process. The documentation should including; the reference
documentations (the drawing No. regulation code, designing paper and the manufacture paper
etc.), the technique standard and the quality requirement, safety operations and construction,
workmanship, working period etc. the workmanship chart or construction drawing will be
done if it is necessary. The profession engineer should compile the working operation paper or
construction scheme, the main working process, special process, control point, inspection
method etc. should be coordinate specifically.
(4) Any questions or mistakes founded during installation that should be reported to the engineer
who will contact the design department and find out the solution together with drawing.
(5) Every working group should fill in the M&E installation record chart at each process; and the
embedded parts. The next process can be going when the last one been inspected and
acceptance ok by the third part supervision department or the relevant official quality inspection
department.
(6) The project office should control the special process particularly.
(7) The foreman, engineer, and the Q/C will collect, document and file the information and date
from the daily process control record.
(8) The project office will compile the construction the daily report and the big event.
9.2.5 The quality inspection & supervision management
