Sunday, June 12th, 2020 Worship With Us!

Today our congregation was able to worship for the
first time since the COVID-19 outbreak mandated JULY 19th

As Solomon prays for wisdom, we
seek to more deeply know the
treasures of faith. In today’s gospel
Jesus offers everyday images that
reveal to us the reign of God: a tree
that becomes a sheltering home, yeast
that penetrates and expands, a
treasured pearl, a net that gains a great
catch. Even as we seek the riches of
God’s reign, the great surprise is that
God’s grace finds us first!

Sunday Outdoor Worship

June 12th
Thanks to Katy McNinch & Laurence Peters for the photos!

In the Bible, church is always a reference

to people, not a place. The church is a
body of believers that live out the Gospel
in their words and actions. The church is
at its best when people inside the
building take Jesus’ message outside the
building and serve those they meet.

Show us your Summer Garden!

In addition to our 28 rose bushes and other

flowers that Mike maintains, we have two
Hibiscus plants. One is pink and one is yellow.
When they bloom, it feels like we are in a
tropical paradise! We so enjoy our flowers.
They are one of Gods many gifts to us!

When we moved into our house 15 years ago, Gladys Nelson

helped us choose & place various trees, shrubs & flowers. I
think she would approve! Laurence tends to the garden every
morning and keeps it beautiful.

Reaching Out to Help Those in

Need
The San Joaquin County Human Services
Agency is reaching out to those that need
assistance with their electrical bills and
home weatherization. This program is for
those who rent or own a home.
Once approved for the program, your
energy bills will be reduced. Someone will
come to your home and help with home
weatherization (like changing light bulbs,
weather stripping windows, etc.). This is at
no cost to you and all you need to do is
apply. You will be glad that you did.

Please call the church office if you would

like more information or assistance with
locating the application.
