Close your eyes and inhale until your lungs are full. Now exhale.

Imagine all your tension and negativity


being released with your breath.

Inhale again and breathe in awareness of your mind. Know all your thoughts at once. Exhale all of the
negative thoughts that block you from inner peace.

Inhale again. Breathe in awareness of your body. Feel your own strength and wholeness. Breathe out all
the points of tension or pain.

Inhale, breathing in awareness of your personal strength. Feel the conviction of your beliefs. Breathe out
doubt and fear. Open yourself to confidence.

Now, without opening your eyes, bring your awareness to the room in which you sit. With each breath,
allow elements of the room to dissolve away until your space is clean, empty, silent, and safe. First the
furnishings, chairs, tables, electronics, beds, cabinets – they all evaporate like steam.

Next, the sounds, one by one are muffled and eliminated.

Now, the smells are wafting up and away until all you smell is clean and fresh.

Next, feel the floor and wall under and behind you melt away until you are floating free, body relaxed,
mind at peace, listening to what your heart has to say.

Inhale the purity of this moment. Exhale the pull of the world.

Inhale serenity. Exhale confusion.

Inhale awareness. Exhale distraction.

Turn your heart’s ear to the distant sound of the world’s music. Turn your face to the radiance of the
sun shining with gentle warmth. Listen as the music gets louder until you can make it out. What is the
music saying to your heart?

Breathe in the scent that the music has carried with it into this space. Let the scent soothe your body
and mind.

Open your heart’s eyes to a sunlit field. Float down into the grass. Feel the tickle of the blades and
breathe the sweet aroma of the flowers surrounding you. Listen to the buzz of the insects.

Sink yourself into the cool soil and allow your body to become part of the earth, one with the grass, able
to understand the buzz of the fly and bee.

The sun fills you with all the nourishment you need in the dark safety of the soil.

Listen to the sun. What is it saying to your heart? Open your heart to hear the song.

Inhale as the song fills your mind. Exhale as it begins to fade slowly, sweetly, away.
Inhale as the sun warms your heart and calms your mind. Exhale as it sinks gradually, breathtakingly
beyond the horizon in a blaze of color. Inhale. Exhale and bring your awareness back to the pillow, the
floor, and the wall beneath you.

Inhale as you listen to your heart’s beat, your slow breath. Exhale as you open your ears to the flow of
life in the room and beyond.

Inhale one more sip of physical release. Exhale as you become aware of the room where you sit.

Inhale the beauty behind your eyes. Exhale and open your eyes to the beauty of this world.

Carry your awareness a and peace with you into the world.
