M-5002A FACE SHIELD USER MANUAL

Description
The faceshields are designed for face and eye protection agains
-t high speed particles (120 m/s). They are light by weight and
comfortable to wear. Additional eye protection such as spectacle
s or goggles must be worn at all times when using these faceshi
-elds. The materials used in these faceshields do not contain
any substances known to cause allergic reactions. However, it
may be possible for certain susceptible individuals to develop
allergies to the materials used.

Assembly
Assemble the face shield as the following instruction

Stop Angle Adjustment


There are 4 stop positions available (as
circled) to adjust the angle from the
welders eyes to the visor.

Fitting Visor

Sliding the visor slots


into the swivel posts,
turning the swivel
posts to hold the visors
firmly

Head Size Adjustment

Rotate ratchet control knob to expand or contract


band until the headgear fits your head
properly, as showed below.

Warning
Faceshields only provide limited protection and are not unbreakable. Large objects and/or objects
at high speeds may break or penetrate the faceshield and injure the wearer’s face or eyes. Eye
protectors against high speed particles worn over standard ophthalmic spectacles may transmit
impacts, thus creating a hazard to the wearer. Any damaged faceshield must be replaced
immediately.

The ocular and frame are marked in accordance with the requirements of EN166:2001:

Compatibility of Marking
The carrier / brow guard B, the visor B ‐ it is the symbol which is assigned to the complete assem
bled eye-protectors. If symbols F, B & A are not common to both the ocular and the frame, then it
is the lower level which shall be assigned to the complete eye‐protector.

If protection against high speed particles at extremes of temperature is required then the selected
eye-protector should be marked with the letter T immediately after the impact letter, i.e. FT, BT or AT.
If the impact lette ris not followed by the letter T then the eye protector shall only be used against
high speed particles at room temperature.

Cleaning and Storage


Flush frame with lukewarm water, then wipe it with dry cloth. Use compressed air to blow dust on o
cular surface. If the ocular is scratched, it must be replaced. DO NOT use solvents. Store this prod
uct in a dry place, sheltered from sun light.

Packing/Transportation
Pack the face shield in cartons when transporting.

Service life
The period of obsolescence of this product is 3 year.
