ACADEMIC POST

Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), the 19th public University in

Malaysia located in Kelantan is inviting qualified and dynamic
individuals with entrepreneurial spirit to join our academic group as
permanent/ contract staff.

General Requirements:
♦ Candidates must possess a Ph.D. Degree in the relevant field*
♦ Score a minimum Band 4 for MUET; or 6.0 for IELTS; or 60.00 for TOEFL (iBT)
♦ A credit in Malay Language (including a Pass in its Oral Test) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (Malaysian
Certificate of Education) level or an equivalent qualification accredited by the Government**
♦ Priority is given to those who have an extensive relevant experience in related field/ industry.
*except for Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics (possess a professional qualifications)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGNER

Contract Professor
Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in related fields
after being awarded a Ph. D Degree. For critical fields, candidates
must have a minimum of twelve (12) to fourteen (14) years of
experience in related fields after being awarded a Master Degree.

Contract Associate Professor

Have a minimum of eleven (11) years of experience in related fields
after awarding Master Degree. For critical fields, candidates must
have a minimum of nine (9) to ten (10) years of experience in
related fields after being awarded a Master Degree.

♦ Candidates should be below than 40 years old (a
perquisite for furthering studies in Doctor of
Philosophy).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGNER

Contract Senior Lecturer

Have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in related fields
after being awarded a Master Degree. For critical fields, candidates
must have a minimum of six (6) to seven (7) years of experience in
related fields after being awarded a Master Degree.

Contract Lecturer
Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in related fields after
being awarded a Master’s Degree. For critical fields, candidates must
have two (2) to four (4) years of experience in related fields after
being awarded a Master Degree.
