Course Objectives: This course will enables students :
 To provide basic understanding of logic gates.
 To design and implementation of Half / Full adder, Half/ Full substractor.
 To introduce various combinational components like MUX, DEMUX, Encoder and
Decoder.
 To introduce various Flip flops, Shift registers and Counters.

2 Design and implementation of Binary to Gray code converter and vice versa.
3 Design and implementation of Encoder/ Decoder.
4 Design and implementation of 8:1 MUX/ 1:8 DEMUX.
5 Realization of Half/Full adder and Half/Full substractor.
6 Realization of 4-bit parallel adder/substractor.
7 Design and implementation of 4-bit Binary comparator.
8 Design and implementation of Flip flops: SR, D, T, JK.
9 Design and implementation of SISO 8-bit shift register.
10 Design and implementation of synchronous up/down counter.
11 Design and implementation of Asynchronous up/down counter.
12 Design and implementation of 7 segment display.
Course outcomes:
At the end of the course the students will be able to:
 Verify and describe the working of basic gates.
 Realize the working of adders and substractors.
 Design and implement Flip flops, Counters, MUX/DEMUX, Registers.

Conduct of Practical Examination:
1. All laboratory experiments are to be included for practical examination.
2. Breakup of marks and the instructions printed on the cover page of answer script to be strictly
adhered by the examiners.
3. Students can pick one experiment from the questions lot prepared by the examiners.
4. Change of experiment is allowed only once and 15% Marks allotted to the procedure part to be
made zero.
