Semi- Detailed Lesson Plan


(Science - Land Animals)

I. Objectives
By the end of the class the students will be able to:

 Identify the land animals


 Appreciate its importance by caring land animals
 Write the names of the land animals

II. Subject Matter


Land Animals

III. Materials
 Flipcharts
 Pictures of animals
 Box with soil

IV. Procedure

a.) Preparation

The teacher starts with a prayer. After the prayer, she ask the student’s to be seated on
their most comfortable way. The teacher introduce herself to his student’s, since the
teacher already prepare a nametags for each student’s. She ask her student's to stand
up as she call their names.

b.) Motivation

After checking the attendance, the teacher presented a song to his student’s entitled
“Old Mc Donald had a farm”. The teacher asked his students if they are already familiar
with the song. The teacher started the song then afterwards they sing all together.

c.) Lesson Proper


The teacher appreciated the students that they all sing together as they are in good
tone. Then, she tell everyone that they will going to learn land animals for the day. The
teacher asked the students what are the animals involve in the song and she let her
students answer by raising their hands. Afterwards the teacher elaborate all the animals
that are involve in the song. And asked his students where the animals live, did they
live in water? air? and land? , as the students said the correct answer she tell his
students that all the animals that live and feed on land are called Land Animals. The
teacher show some more animal pictures who lives in land, and ask his students if they
can see those animals at home. The teacher also provide examples of pictures that
animals lives in water and sky to be more understandable. The teacher tell the
student’s that they should not hurt animals and appreciate its living where they have
their own purpose in the world. And lastly, she ask his students if they already
understand Land Animals.
d.) Activity
The teacher get the box and the pictures of animals. The teacher instruct his students
that they will pick one picture of an animals and placed the picture in the box if they
think that the picture they are holding lives on land, and if not they will put the picture
inside the other box. The teacher start the activity from the first person in her right
side. After all the students have pick all the picture and answered it all correctly, the
teacher appreciated the student’s effort that they put the animals in the exact place.
e.) Evaluation
Connect the animals according to their names.

V. Assignment
In a short bond paper, draw and color at least five (5) Land Animals.
