Dear Gov. Alvarez: 

Greetings of Peace and Well-being! 

As has been announced by our President, come May 1, 2020 our province will now be
placed into General Community Quarantine (GCQ). After more than a month of
Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), GCQ, among others, directs several local
government units to relax some quarantine rules.

As a humble spiritual leader of our community, I wish to convey our request for your
consideration the gradual and regulated opening of our churches and the resumption of
our sacramental life for the public in the entire Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa.
Aware of the mode of the so-called “new normal”, we will likewise abide with the
protocol so as to definitely beat COVID-19. 

As people of faith, we are of the belief that any crisis can only be resolved through
concerted human efforts and divine intervention. Hence, the necessity to pray
individually and to worship as a community. 

I assure you of my personal prayers for you and your endeavors. May you always be
safe and sound in God’s embrace.

As has been announced by our President, come May 1, 2020 the City of Puerto

Princesa and the Province of Palawan will now be placed into General Community
Quarantine (GCQ). After more than a month of Enhanced Community Quarantine
(ECQ), GCQ, among others, directs several local government units to relax some
quarantine rules.

As a humble spiritual leader of our community, I wish to convey our request for your
consideration the gradual and regulated opening of our churches and the resumption of
our sacramental life for the public in the entire Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa
which includes the parishes within Puerto Princesa City. Aware of the mode of the so-
