Lead Workplace Communication

The one in charge is a leader, who persuades others to obey. A

great leader inspires confidence and encourages others to act.

Communication in the workplace is the method of sharing

information and ideas within an organization, both verbal and non-
verbal. An organization may be made up of workers from different
parts of society. Each member of a team must encourage everyone in
achieving organizational goals through communication. Effective
communication does not only depend on the leader of the team but on
the collective effort of the members as well, making all members the
leader in the team.

A good leader influences and encourages its members to engage

in group discussion. Misunderstanding and conflict will be cleared out
if each of the members in the team is open for discussion with the
other members. In communication, there will be an exchange of
knowledge, ideas, and constructive criticisms between the members in
a workplace that are vital for the effective delivery of services to its
stakeholders. Communication should also be planned and organized.

Effective communication in the workplace means that all goals

of the company are met. Communication in the workplace is extremely
important for businesses as it improves productivity and efficiency.
Ineffective communication in the workplace contributes to
communication differences among workers, resulting in uncertainty,
wasting time and reducing productivity.

It is possible to avoid misunderstandings that cause friction

between people through effective communication in the workplace.
Effective communication, also known as open communication, avoids
the development of barriers between individuals within organizations
that may hinder progress towards achieving a common goal.

Managers and other employees need to be able to interact

clearly and effectively with each other through verbal and non-verbal
communication to achieve specific business goals for companies to
work as desired. Good customer contact plays a vital role in an
organization's growth and any business ' success.

In order to understand each other, each of us must have an effe
ctive communication.
2. Apply Math and Science Principles in Technical Training

New technologies have produced increased and varied

application in the world of work of scientifically based materials,
thereby increasing the value of knowledge and skills in science and
math for workers.

New technologies have come through the application of concepts

of mathematics and science. Especially on technical training,
mathematical and scientific concepts and techniques never get old.
Understanding these principles is important if valuable problem-
solving skills are to be developed and increased.

Science and math are subjects that are daunting for many
students. Low and average students tend to shy away from such
courses as they are new and intimidating concepts.

Stereotypical perceptions and expectations, lack of self-

confidence and lack of understanding of importance are some of the
reasons why women are so underrepresented in math, science and
technology courses.

Nonetheless, in order to be competitive in the workplace, these

obstacles must be addressed as demand for workers with appropriate
knowledge of science and expertise for problem solving grows.
3. Apply Environmental Principles and Advocate Conservation

Utilization of the Earth’s resources is essential to the world’s

advancement. Inculcating to the trainees the application of
environmental principles can contribute a great help to the protection
and conservation of the Earth’s resources. The use of hazardous
materials must be managed and minimized. Efficient use of natural
resources must be developed and planned carefully. Knowledge and
application of the environmental principles ensure the safety of the
people and of the resources. Ensure the health and safety of our
people by encouraging safe work practices, minimizing exposure,
using protective technology, and implementing successful emergency
preparedness initiatives. Provide them with safety and environmental
knowledge through training and education programs in order for them
to make work/practice choices in accordance of these principles.

As the human population is growing and rising, the use of

natural resources is rapid and vast areas of land are being
transformed for human use. How do you think that these types of
environmental issues should be addressed by public land?

This point of view allows the ecosystem to be used in a

sustainable manner, and it ensures that natural resources are used in
a manner that satisfies the current resource needs without
jeopardizing future generations ' supply of the resource.

By making sustainable use of the environment, it will not

permanently deplete or destroy the environment and the natural
resources it provides-and will be available for human use for a very
long time. When people do not properly manage the land and the
resource is not used sustainably, then the ecosystem can be ruined,
and the system of conservation failed.
4. Utilize IT Application in Technical Training

Research and ethical practice of learning and performance

improvement through the development, use and management of
appropriate technical processes and resources.

Educational technology is the use of both abstract and physical

hardware. This includes many fields including philosophy of learning,
computer-based training, online learning, and m-learning where
mobile devices are used.

Through the advancement of technology, life gets easier and better.

In technical training, the use of information technology is a great help
to improve the quality of services and teaching we can give to the
trainees through faster information and instructional dissemination,
blended-learning education, and etc.

Educational technology is an inclusive term for learning and

teaching resources for both the content tools and the theoretical
foundations. Educational technology is not restricted to high
technology, but is anything that enables the use of integrated, face-to-
face, or online learning in the classroom.

Using computers or other forms of technology can provide students

with core content and skills practice while teachers can collaborate
with others, administer tests, or perform other tasks. Learning can be
individualized for each student through the use of educational
technology, enabling greater differentiation and encouraging students
to work at their own speed for mastery.
5. Lead Small Teams

This competency standard covers the skills and knowledge

required to lead and develop small teams to achieve designated
assignment instructions within a security context. It requires the
ability to allocate duties and schedule rosters, set and maintain team
and individual performance standards, facilitate open communication
and resolve individual or team concerns.

It's a huge task to be part of a large team and splitting the team
into smaller teams with members in each team will boost the
management. Leading is simpler, more effective and more successful
in a smaller team. Everyone gets a bigger opportunity to learn more
about each other and create stronger connections.

There will be a focused group discussion in which all members

will have a greater opportunity to discuss the issues for improvement
in depth. Teamwork, as usual, plays a major role in achieving team
goals and tasks.
6. Apply Work Ethics, Values, and Quality Principles

The foundation of personal and professional achievement is

values and ethics. When actions speak louder than words, the way an
individual or group communicates with others reveals their genuine
character. Those of the highest degree with a solid system of values
and ethical standards are easily recognizable from their behavior and
are intrinsically motivated to do the right thing, even when no one is
watching. Values and ethics generally come from the same origins,
culture, spiritual beliefs, and school; personal values and ethics are
pure variations of what you know when you join the workforce.
Therefore, stuff that you know early in life obey.

Upholding work ethics, values, and quality principles requires a

lot of personal discipline and good judgement. This is an important
thing to be taught to trainees for them to be prepared in their future
workplace. Being a professional does not start in the education you
have, but on the behavior you’re about to show. It is necessary to
maintain positive personal and interpersonal behavior because as a
professional, you are not only working for your own good but for the
entirety of your organization and your stakeholders. Your actions
reflect the image of your organization to your stakeholders.
Commitment to excellence through teamwork, integrity and
accountability is an example of the core values you could uphold in
your performance in the professional world. Also, quality can be
measured through the standard, anchored on your core values and
work ethics, you are setting for the improvement of your
accomplishment and the organization’s success.

Professional values are basically the same as described above,

but in the context of a company, organization or group and what they
want their desired end-state to be. In their business practices, the
professional value system of group entities is revealed; from their
interaction with other companies to how well the employees are cared
for. Whether or not a business plays by the rules, win or lose, speaks
volumes about the company and, more importantly, the people who
work there.

Ethics is usually described in terms of values, as they are the

moral philosophy and the realization of one's values. Personal or
professional ethical codes make it possible to know what is right, fair,
reasonable and just.
7. Work Effectively in Vocational Education and Training

Most high schools offer some form of vocational education

program to the benefits of vocational education. Vocational education
is training, excluding the professions, for a particular career or trade.
Vocational training focuses on practical applications of learning skills
and is usually unconcerned with philosophy or traditional academic
knowledge. Traditionally, vocational education students receive more
hands-on, career-oriented schooling than traditional school students.

Workforce in a developing country, like Philippines, needs to be

improved as the demand for quality outputs in work is always
increasing. Quality workforce starts from the vocational education and
training. For educator/trainers, they should be committed to provide
quality education for their trainees. They become the foundation of the
workforce. Working effectively through strategic planning of the
lessons to teach is a good start. Incorporating strategies, values, and
utilizing the technology and other resources is needed to provide
quality output. An educator has to work within the framework of the
policy on vocational education and training. This involves obtaining,
reviewing and implementing applicable national vocational education
and training policies and structures to direct work practices and
responsibilities. A client-focused approach to work must be
illustrated. Within organizational parameters, stakeholders or learners
and their needs and expectations form the basis for establishing
effective work practices and targeted results.

In addition to providing high school students with the ability to

develop expertise at present, advanced or technical training programs
can also ready them for the workplace and improve prospects for
greater access to jobs. Either in schools with basic trade lessons, on
actual work sites or both, training programs can be essential. Training
on actual work sites enables students to work daily alongside
employees of the company and customers. The ability to work on-site
tasks will help students learn whether this is the right area for them
and provide an outlet for networking and speak to seasoned
professionals about the industry. These services will serve to provide
basic knowledge and real work experience needed to enter the
workplace right after high school without a college degree.
8. Foster and Promote a Learning Culture

People are unique in every single way. Their learning methods

also differ. It is important for the trainer to know his/her trainees very
well and adjust to their learning methods. This is also where focused-
group discussion is important.

Developing a culture of learning in today's modern business

environment is no longer a' nice to have,' it is essential for businesses
to cultivate learning if they want to stay in business. Today's
employers consider learning opportunities and career development as
real benefits–beyond the' perks' of salaries and innovation.

A formal learning and growth designed in place shows workers

that their professional advancement is respected by the organization.
This in turn increases the morale of staff and lets employers attract
the best workers available. Businesses with a good learning
philosophy value the contribution of workers far better than those
without them.

Cultural learning is the process in which a group of individuals

or animals seek to acquire and pass on knowledge within a society or
culture. The way a society socializes with its children and youth is
greatly influenced by learning styles.

Learning does not stop when you finish your course framework.
You ultimately become an educator and a learner in this case. Share
the learnings you have to other people and continue to learn more
new techniques.
9. Ensure Healthy and Safe Learning Environment

A healthy and safe learning environment is where learners are

comfortable in all aspects and their needs are addressed and catered
very well. This is also where their learning never stops and are
continually flowing. To ensure this, the trainer must always check on:

1. Learning Institution – this is where the trainer is linked, and

one must ensure to provide the needs of every learners
enrolled.

2. Individuals – their condition is the trainers utmost concern

and knowing their condition is through constant personal
communication.

Comprehensive assistance incorporates the need-based

approach to aim to create and maintain a balanced, safe and
supportive learning environment for members of every class. A
balanced, safe and supportive learning environment allows students,
teachers, and even the school to grow effectively as a community.

In turn, such an atmosphere improves and expands the school's

leadership ability as professional, outstanding, and committed
educators want to operate under such circumstances.
10. Maintain and Enhance Professional Practice

The only remaining competitive benefit of company today and in

the future is in people's efficiency – their awareness, experience, and
skill.

Well-built and delivered ongoing professional development is

important as it benefits the individual, their profession, and the
public. The potential of everyone will increase over time. Without
proper care and guidance, though, workers of a company may
minimize their participation amount. People's unfulfilled capacity
would affect the performance and profitability of the company.

You should therefore adopt a prepared path to your desires for

personal development. Reflect on your own success by focusing on
how you have established input approaches and how you respond to
that feedback, evaluating your own ability to achieve objectives and
specific results, and the ability to analyze and determine
organizational performance In compliance with corporate and legal
requirements, represent employee obligations and accountabilities in
personal work goals and plans.

To assess development needs and goals, measure professional

skills and knowledge against business competencies and other
applicable metrics. Seek advice on how to upgrade and retain
currency from other related employees. Take more VET preparation or
experience in formal or tertiary education. Identify job opportunities
for the future and employment routes.

Assess your progress on an ongoing basis. Well-crafted and

delivered ongoing professional development is important because it
benefits the individual, their profession, and the public.
11. Develop and Promote Appreciation for Cost-Benefits of
Technical Training

Education is an investment. There’s a huge amount of return-

of-investment when you have invested for your personal development.
You do not only benefit yourself for the outcome but also in the
community and economy as a whole. A trainee must review
components of training costs in order to build and cultivate
understanding for the cost and benefits of technical training. The cost
components are evaluated to determine those that provide the training
features and benefits that are needed.

You will determine the costs and benefits of educational in

several respects. It's special for each company. Several organizations
place a premium on innovation and progress, others on long-term
stability and awareness of the business. A rigorous training program
can enhance both.

The cost of training includes both the cost of hiring a trainer or

seminar services and the cost of the worker's training time. The direct
costs of training materials and fees and the indirect costs of staff
attending training seminars instead of operating will need to be
included.
12. Develop and Promote Global Understanding of Labor
Market

It explains the findings needed to understand, interpret and

disseminate information on global trends and issues in the labor
market as they impact the TVET, labor and employer sectors.
Although economic development goals differ, the rising need for skilled
labor is both a cause and a necessity for accelerated growth across
markets. Here, therefore, the global and local importance of
developments in the labor market (LM) is discussed and examined for
their significance in the labor and training industry.

Globalization is the approach of combining regions to share

ideas across countries across societies, political systems, economies,
to society. What's easier than this? They must benefit from other
countries and use principles and methods, and this method supports
everything that takes part in it.

Culturally, as we benefit from other countries and bridge the

gap between nations, this is advantageous. Globalization is a positive
action all around, because with other innovations we will benefit from
each other and develop our countries and work for the good of the
community as a whole.

On the opposite, others assume that only within a province can

globalization generate conflicts. With employment scarce due to the
recession in more developed countries, immigrant-filled workers could
have a negative impact on a country's people, and with most refugees
going to an area with a stronger labor market and a better chance of
obtaining better wages for their families, these countries are, in fact,
homes for most of the world's migrants.

It could possibly give the impression to people that immigrants

are a negative thing. Others think that too much integration in the
long run might give too much power to companies because they'd
have too much confidence.

With the good intentions of this new concept of competition in

the labor market, we should make it work with a system of checks
and balance
