Imagine! Can a work be done effectively without considering human elements?

My answer is
no. Perhaps everybody’s answer would be the same. I was very average student in my school
time, I was a science student. I used to spend most of my time to explore the things and their
principles on which they are based upon. I have done my Bsc. (GEN) from Delhi University
and after this I got an opportunity to further study and done M.Sc in Software from
Kurukshetra University. I always thought to explore the things in various disciplines.

Research can be integrative it need various discipline to work on it. I would like to take a
simple live example, I met an owner of a hotel who was illiterate managed to do a 5 Cr
turnover business. I was surprised that he has not got any formal education but he was a good
manager and director of a 50 employee hotel. I found one thing that is attitude and leadership
skills that person have. Can we learn management from them? Of course yes. But we need to
learn more than this. When management Philosophy and Practice goes along each other, we
will see progress & development. I was inspired and went for Management Degree from
Anna University, Chennai and completed it in 2007. While studying Management I really
amazed that management is universal and based on principles and practice and derived from
other disciplines such as sociology, psychology, accounting etc. I prepared my final project in
employee satisfaction and really for this I visited almost all branches of that company. And
one thing I found It would be difficult to satisfy every employee second thing It would be
difficult to retain the talent in the organization. I cannot say my project is over. I need to
explore more in this area.

When it comes to quantify a thing, it is very easy to use the systematic steps or techniques, it
becomes more complicated when we consider qualitative aspects. Here, I would like to say
the importance of Human Resource Management which always does a challenging role in
defining the qualitative aspects in an organization. I worked as an Human Resource
Executive in Few Companies and I find that with people management skills we can play very
good not only in an organisation but also in our life too. I would like to explore a lot in
Human Resource Management that helps the society and organisation goes in right direction.

Considering my Interest in Research and Teaching, I joined PCTI Group as a Human

Resource Management Faculty. I teach Human Resources Management and its allied subjects
such as Organisation Behavior. Besides teaching I have developed course curriculum and
contents for the PCTI community College Management related courses such as OB, Soft
Skills, Behavioral Skills and Personality Development books.

I have studied the books of T.V Rao books and Udai Pareek book "Instruments for HRD". I
would like explore the problems and their solutions in Human Resource Management. As
much as I explore the new things in Human Resource Management, we can see how it would
influence on the other discipline of management to work better efficiently. I would like to
join Indian Institute of Management, Indore. Because I feel it is a good opportunity for me do
research from your prestigious institute which would be recognized by the industry and
society.
