My Glasses

Scene 1 ~ My Eyesight

I was watching the television, when I realized the time was 9:59 pm !!
I had started watching the television at 3:59pm and it was almost 6 hours !! Well, I thought I should go to
bed because it was already 9:59 pm. I cuddled in my bed and went off to sleep.
Beep! Beep!
I got up and you'll never guess what happened. I couldn't see !

Scene 2 ~ Eye Checkup

Everything was blurry. I realized I couldn’t see because I strained my eyes from watching a lot of
television. My mom took me to the ophthalmologist. When we went to the Eye Care Center, the eye
specialist scanned my eyes and it felt so weird. I had to rest my chin on the visual testing machine and
the eye specialist switched the different lenses to find out the number I needed. Later, I found out that I
needed glasses.

Scene 3 ~ Getting Glasses

2 weeks later… while we were coming back from school, my mom told me we had to go pick up my
glasses. I was so excited. We went to the Eye Care Center and I tried out the glasses that were made for
me. I looked smart in the frame that I choose and we left for home with my glasses.

Scene 4 ~My Worst Nightmare

I was so sleepy that I jumped into my bed and went off to sleep. That same night was the most
uncomfortable night making me twist and turn in the bed. I was murmuring too! The thought of somebody
was staring at me was terrifying that I got up and ran out and SLAM !

I screamed and got up. It was just a nightmare. I wore my glasses and ran downstairs to tell my mom
about this terrible dream.

Scene 5 ~ I'm Scared

When I told my mom about my nightmare, she couldn't believe me. She thought I was talking nonsense. I
kept on thinking about that dream. It gave me shivers. My mom understood by my expressions that I
wasn't lying. She made me feel calm by chanting some prayers and making me sleep beside her.

Scene 6 ~ I'm Not Scared Anymore

What made me at ease was my mom’s presence. I don't know what she did but the good thing was that I
never got scared ever again. :)
