    Drawing Syllabus

    Class – VII th
    Session 2019-20

    Introduction: Art and its medium of colour charts, water colours, pastel colour
    and pencil colours.

    Technique: Demonstration method to be used to teach space, line, texture,


    perspective and proportion.

    Nature study: Take the students to natural surroundings and draw different types
    of trees, leaves, stems and flowers. Draw landscape with water colours, pen
    pencils etc.

    Object Drawing Use pots, utensils, flower vase, fruits/vegetables for drawing
    Arrange vegetables and drapery to form still life. Use different medium, pencil
    (light& shade) as well as colours.

    Human drawing: Teaching of human body male/ female proportionate body


    parts such as hand, foot, other body parts, their movement, drawing and
    sketching with water colours and pencils.

    Composition: Use two to three human figures, animal figures in water colours.
    Festival paintings: paint different festival celebrations by using different colour
    mediums.

    Poster making: Posters on social problems and national issues.

    Fun activities: Mask making and craft activities using waste materials
    Note:-All the activities should be explained through demonstration.
