    Drawing Syllabus

    Class – VIIIth
    Session 2019-20

    What is Art: Types of Art- Performing and Visual arts etc.

    Colour charts: Water colours- How to use water colours and Pastel Colours
    .Demonstration method to be used to teach space, texture & Perspective

    Nature study: Continue nature study done in class VII. Take students in natural
    surroundings and draw different kind of trees, leaves, stems and flowers. Make
    landscape in water colors, pen, pencil etc.

    Object drawing: Use pots, utensils, flowers, fruit, drapery or cloth in still form
    .Use of different medium pencils (Light & shade) as well as colors.

    Human drawing: How to draw proportionate body parts such as hand, feet, face
    and their movements such as walking running, sitting etc.

    Composition: Use two or three human figures to make composition in water


    colours. Use animal figures in composition as well.

    Festival paintings: Paint celebration of different festivals by using different colour


    medium.

    Poster making: Poster on social problems and national issues.


    Note:-All the activities should be explained through demonstration.
