CIRCULAR

Subject: Launch of Booklet on the life, work and thoughts of Babasaheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar
to be organized on 6th Dec 2019 at Thyagraj Stadium.

Every year, 6t" December is observed as Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Babasaheb Dr Bhim Rao
Ambedkar. On this occasion, this year i.e. 6t" Dec 2019, the Directorate of Education is organizing
an event for launch of the booklet on the Life, Work and Thoughts of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar at
Thyagraj Stadium at 11.00 am. Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, will be the
Chief Guest and Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Sh. Manish Sisodia, will grace the
occasion as the Guest of Honour. Hon'ble Minister of Department for Welfare of SC/ST/OBC,
Delhi, Sh. Rajendra Pal Gautam, will be the distinguished Guest on this occasion.

During the event, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi will launch a booklet on the life, work and
thoughts of Babasaheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar prepared by the Department for the Welfare of
SC/ST/OBC, Delhi.
All officers of the DoE will attend the event along with:
• All Heads of the Govt .Schools
6th 7th & 8th
• Two TGTs (Social Science) (Regular/Guest/Contractual) (teaching classes
from each Govt. school of Delhi.
• Vice Chairperson of the SMC of Govt school of Delhi

All the participants must reach the venue by 9:30 am on 6t" December, 2019. All HOSs must
ensure that participants use public transport to reach the venue due to non availability of
parking space inside the stadium premises. The nearest Metro Station is INA and entry is from
Gate No. 7 of Thyagraj Stadium.

All HoSs must submit the names of participants of their respective schools on the school letter
head for attendance purpose to their DDE (Zones) at the venue before entry in the stadium.

Within a week of the launch of the booklet, it shall be provided to all the students of classes 6t"
7t" and St" of Govt schools of Delhi through Zonal Distribution Centres. HOSs are further directed
to assign one special period before the winter break for reading of this booklet. During this
period, one of the teachers who attended the launch programme must discuss the content of
the booklet with the students and encourage them to express their understanding about the life
and messages of Babasaheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar through poem, essay, poster, slogan etc.
The work of students must be shared in the assembly of the school on 24t" December, 2019.
All DDE (Zones) must ensure the compliance and submit the compiled report of the event along
