• Inflation at the end of 2019 was 2.72% lower than 2018 which was recorded at
3.13% B-FR0037
• The government has set three tariffs to be raised in 2020. First is BPJS contribution
rate which will increase by 100%, second is the cigarette excise tax increase to 23%
with retail selling prices up to 35% and the last is increase from eight toll road
sections. To offset the increase in tariffs, the government will make the most of fiscal
instruments with front loading in January, so that they can support the economy, Subscription Bank Account
especially social assistance.
