Business/Materials Lesson Objectives

Pictures, dialogs, short, videos, The students will be motivated for knowing new

Warm-up and Objective Discussion

Warm-up and objective discussion : There will be a warm up to break the ice of the
students.
questions to help you to interact to each other and games with these 10 questions. Write
these questions on a piece of paper and hand them out. Each student will play the game
and answer what are their experiences answering the questions. 
Teacher will bring photos, videos, and music to embrace these experience and make this
time funnier!

4 - You meet people 
5 - You observe the world in a new way, literally.

The students will be able to use there is - there are - participle - have +verb infinitive . The
students will write the nouns and your plurals. The students will discover other countries
and their cultures too.

Play three music to the students and let them recognize from each country do they think they are
from?
Show pictures of clothes and let them to recognize where they are from?
at last show the country flags of the countries.
We will link this activity to start to talk about ( TRAVEL TO PARIS )

3 Where would you like to visit ? WHY?

I have explored a Paris in 2010 when I went with my Chamber Orchestra to play at the Paris
Theater. We spent 4 days in that beautiful city, playing every night and having our mornings to
sightseeing. I can tell by my own experience that this city has a lot to explore and see. It is
fascinating the culture, the food, people, the language is so romantic and so on....

Guided Practice  R  W  L  S

SKILLS: Reading Activity for the group; The kids look up the flashcards or the posters related to
the reading about traveling to Paris that the teacher brings to the class. The posters are wrapped
on the board. They have expressions with there is and there are. The students read the posters
while they listen to the cd. PLEASE DESCRIBE THE CD: what is it about? What do the students
have to do with the information in the CD? Are there any activities to do while listening? What is
the information saying about Paris? 
DESCRIPTION: The CD is about cultures of the world. The topics are short trips around the world
and while the students are listening the stories the teacher is showing the images stopping the cd
when it is necessary to talk or discuss something related to it. The information is about discuss
something related to it. The information is about Paris because we are talking about traveling and
this is the destiny to talk about. 
Pair Reading Activity: The students receive some instructions about ( the different ways of
traveling ) in couples they will try to understand it and answer and questions, with there is and
there are. Then, they make an oral report of what they understand and also their opinions in
reported speech. 
Set of questions: How many ways of traveling are there? Is there any way of traveling that you like
most? How do you like to travel? Do you like to travel by bus? Have you ever been traveling by
ship? If so, how did you feel after the trip? Is there any special place that you would like to visit?
Are there any special culture that you would like to know? 

They will have up to 20 minutes and then start to discuss in class and showing there answers.
Reading - Learn how to skip and scam, get the general information about that place.
Catch vocabulary and improve your reading skills. 

There will be some new knew words that the teacher wants them to memorize and play with then
in class.
The words are put on the white board so everyone can see and talk about.

We will discuss about the places to visit in Paris - culture - famous places, food, and how to go
and explore. 
Many times the students will need to share in class what they had come up with.

Independent Practice  R  W  L  S
SO GROUP WILL DE DIVIDED AND EVERY TIME JUST ONE IN THE GROUP WILL ANSWER
THE QUESTIONS FOR THE WHOLE GROUP. NEXT TIME ANOTHER ONE IN THE GROUP
WILL ANSWER WHAT THEY HAVE COME UP WITH. WHAT IDEA AND THOUGHTS. 

At the end they will be asked individually to write a short paragraph with the proper grammar,
instructions given , and new vocabulary given making coherent sentences putting some of their
ideas together. So they will be about to finish the activity putting everything that they have learned
in a small paper.

GUIDED PRACTICE AND INDEPENDENT PRACTICE 

      WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO IN PARIS ? 

At the end they will be asked individually to write a short paragraph with the proper grammar,
instructions given , and new vocabulary given making coherent sentences putting some of their
ideas together. So they will be about to finish the activity putting everything that they have learned
in a small paper.

Grammar : There is - There are - have been 

instructions given : write a short paragraph telling why do you want to go to Paris? Places you
want to visit. What you want to learn from that country? and how will you go there ?

New vocabularies: by train, by airplane, by shit. I would like. I should. I would rather/ I prefer.
Explore - Visit - sightseeing - taste - 

go shopping - have fun - look around...

The activity will last 15 minutes. The students need on their own to share what they would like to
do in Paris, showing all their skills that they have learned in class. 

Teacher will walk around the classroom to support any questions and helping if need. 

At the end each one will share what they have written. 
Assessment  R  W  L  S

The whole goal is to help them to write 3 paragraphs of their experience traveling to Paris.
They will need to use the grammar learned, new words and expressions. 
After reading about the story Traveling to Paris, they will be asked to be in a group of 3 people
and first answer the 3 questions.

1 - Who can travel to Paris nowadays? and what is the point of going to France?
2 - What has Paris offered to people to get to know more about France's culture?
3 - What events happened in the story that you most like ? 

After Answering these 3 questions, one person of the group will be asked to come in front of the
class and answer these  questions, and we all will discuss together about it.
