WELCOME
As Managing Director and on behalf of the Board of Directors of the
Mining Suppliers Trade Association Canada or MSTA CANADA, I am
pleased to welcome you to the 23rd annual Compendium of Canadian
Mining Suppliers. The Compendium is an excellent resource to
finding Canada’s top quality mining suppliers and demonstrates the
remarkable breadth and depth of products and services offered by
the Canadian Mining Supply and Services (MSS) sector. In this edition,
you will find companies that supply the entire mining spectrum – from
early exploration and development, mine design and construction to
production, processing, refining, closure and rehabilitation.
What makes our Compendium very useful for the prospective buyer
is how it is set up. The format allows readers to easily find a supplier
using the subsector index in the front or, if you know the company
name, you can use the alphabetical listing in the back of the
Compendium. In addition, the added value of a concise descriptive
supplier profile with key contact information gives you a quick
understanding of whether a supplier will fit your needs. For example,
if you are interested in Mineral Processing Equipment & Supplies,
you will find 15 firms under that heading.
At the time of writing, the MSS sector was enjoying a lot of activity
with almost every segment seeing increased quoting and purchasing
of products and services. However, at the same time the commodity
prices were stalled and the raising of capital for early stage exploration
projects was still low, with most exploration budgets focused in the
shadows of existing mine infrastructure. These two issues were holding
a cloud of uncertainty over the increased purchasing activity as to
whether the trend would be sustainable over the near to medium term.

That said, we are seeing companies that offer clean technology
solutions to other industries getting attention in terms of adoption in
the mining sector as mining companies look to reinvent themselves
in terms of how they explore and extract metals and minerals.
Electrification and digitalization are trends that are becoming more
mainstream in the mining and exploration industry.
I encourage you to explore our Compendium and seek out our
