Evidence: My presentation outline

A. Find a topic of personal interest. Imagine you are going to present that topic
orally to your teacher and classmates at school. For this part of the evidence
you need to carry out exhaustive research in order to be able to present all the
necessary information related to your selected topic. Report the most important
aspects of your research through a brainstorm of the ideas and concepts that
you think will be relevant to the presentation.

 Aviation refers to the use of commercial and non-commercial aircrafts


for transportation of people or goods.

 The A380, manufactured by the Airbus Industry, is the biggest plane


ever made.

Topic: Colombian folk dances

 Colombian folklore is very rich, both in the number and in the variety
of its manifestations, to such an extent that each of the different
geographical regions of the country has its own folkloric
characteristics.

 The Colombian Cumbia is the representative dance of the country, it


is a rich expression left by the Africans.

 In addition to the Andean and African cultures, the Spanish culture is


an ancestor that, like the verses, was brought by the conquerors.

Now let's move on to the first part: folk dance in


Colombia.

1. What is folk dance in Colombia

Colombian dances. The multiculturalism that is found


throughout the territory of Colombia is also reflected in
its different rhythms and typical dances.

Colombian folklore is very rich, both in the number and


in the variety of its manifestations, to such an extent
that each of the different geographical regions of the
country has its own folkloric characteristics.

2. North Atlantic and Caribbean region

The most representative dance of this region is the


Mapalé, it is the name of a fish and the name of a drum.
Dance of marked African descent typical of the
Caribbean coast. It is said that this dance was born as
a song and dance of fishermen's work that was
performed, accompanied by drums, as entertainment at
night at the end of their day. When you observe her
today, everything indicates that she transformed from
work activity to erotic ecstasy. The way people dance
today differs from what is narrated by the chroniclers.

Dances such as the fandango, the Puya and the Porro


also stand out.

The most representative dance of this region is the


Joropo, which formerly meant a festive gathering to
play music, sing and dance. It comes from the
Colombian-Venezuelan Llanos. It is one of the folk
dances that presents typical Spanish survival and is
danced in all kinds of festive gatherings. From the
joropo all the current airs of llanero folklore depart.

4. Andean region

The most representative dance of this region is the


Torbellino, which is a dance where there is the
suggestion that the travel songs of some tribes, such as
those of the Yuco-motilón of the Serranía de Perijá,
contain rhythmic cells that could have given origin to
the rhythm of the whirlwind, which is nothing but the
measure of the "little Indian trot", which indigenous
people and mestizos use for their forays and trips,
pilgrimages and pilgrimages through the mountains.
With the melody the peasants express their feelings in

in the Center and South of the Pacific Coast. The
Currulao made its entrance to Cartagena de Indias in
the seventeenth century, where it was referred to as
"Slave Dance", a definition that lasted for a long time.
However, today the Currulao is an exclusive tune and
dance of the Colombian Pacific Coast to the point of
being the base tune or typical dance of the area today,
that is, all of Chocó and the western half of the
departments of Valle, Cauca and Narino. All these
regions are influenced by primitive life from the nuclei of
the black population.

6. Amazon region

The most representative dance of this region is La


ÑUCA LLACTA (Kichwa indigenous dance): the origin
of this dance comes from the Kichwa indigenous
peoples that are found throughout the territory of Chile
to Colombia. The indigenous people consider all
cultural manifestations without borders, among others,
dance and song. The choreography of the dance was
provided to COLOMBIA VIVA by Luis Espinosa from
the band of Colombian indigenous musicians -
TAITACUNA. The same as the costumes was obtained
by him for the Group.

7. Conclusions

 Colombian folk dance is rich in culture and


diversity.

 In all the Departments of Colombia, there are


countless people who love dance.

 Around the country there are hundreds of groups


dedicated to this work.

 All dances are part of Colombian history and are


part of history.

 Many people are dedicated to researching dance


from its roots.
