6 - AP P R O V A L O F P R O J E C T S

The approval of projects proposed under this Act shall be in accordance with the following:

a. National Projects - The projects must be part of the Agency’s development programs, and

shall be approved as follows:

i. projects costing up to PhP 300 million, shall be sub mitted to ICC for approval;

ii. projects costing more than PhP 300 million, shall be sub mitted to the NEDA Board for

approval upon the recommendation of ICC.; and

iii. regardless o f amount, negotiated projects sh all be sub mitted to the NEDA Board for

approval upon reco mmend ation b y the ICC.

b. Local Projects - Local projects to b e implemented b y the LGUs sh all b e sub mitted b y th e

concerned LGU for con firmation, as follo ws:

i. to the municip al develop ment council for projects costing up to PhP 20 millio n;

ii. to the pro vin cial development council for those costing above PhP 20 million up to PhP

50 million;

iii. to the city develop ment council for tho se costing up to PhP 50 million;

iv. to the regional develop ment council or, in the case o f Metro Manila projects, the

Regional Develop ment Co uncil for Metropolitan Manila, for those costing abo ve PhP 50

million up to PhP 200 million; and

v. to the ICC for those co stin g above PhP 200 million.
