Name: Archit Mukherjee

Class: XI ‘F’ (Morning)

Roll No.: 07-0391

1. (a) Answer: One dimensional motion

(b) Answer: Three dimensional motion

(c) Answer: Two dimensional motion

(d) Answer: Two dimensional motion

2. (a) Answer: Q

(b) Answer: R

3. Answer: The mean value = [(0.00400 + 0.0400 + 4.00 + 40.00)/4] m

= [44.04/4] m

= 10 m (using significant figures)

The most accurate value = 4.00 m

The most precise value = 4.00 mm

4. J = kg m2 s-2 and n1v1 = n2v2

Therefore, 5 [kg m2 s-2] = n2 [g cm2 s-2]

Or, n2 = 5 [kg/g] [(m/cm)2] [(s/s)-2]

n2 = 5 [1000 g/1 g] [(100 cm/1 cm)2]

n2 = 5 × 1000 × 10000

n2 = 50000000

n2 = 5 × 107

Answer: 5 × 107 erg

5. Volume of sphere = 4/3 π r3

= 4/3 × 3.14 × (5.3)3

= 4/3 × 3.14 × 148.87

= 4/3 × 467.45

= 623.3 cm3

The error in volume  ∆V/V = 3(∆r/r)

 ∆V = V × 3(∆r/r)

 ∆V = 35.28

Percentage error  (∆V/V) × 100 = (35.28/623.3) × 100

= 5.66 %

Answer: 5.66 %

6.
h1 5 sec

5 sec

h2

5 sec

h3

Distance in first 5 sec (h1) = ½ × g × 25

Distance in 10 sec (h1 + h2) = ½ × g × 100

Therefore h2 = (½ × g × 100) – (½ × g × 25)

= ½ × g × 75

Distance in 15 sec (h1 + h2 + h3) = ½ × g × 225

Therefore h3 = (½ × g × 225) – (½ × g × 100)

h3 = ½ × g × 125

Therefore h1 :h2 : h3 = 1 : 3 : 5

Answer: h1 :h2 : h3 = 1 : 3 : 5
