Neurodegenerative disease is a condition which affects brain function.

It results from
deterioration of neurons. They are divided into two groups: conditions causing problems with
movements and conditions affecting memory. Some examples include Alzheimer’s and
Parkinson’s disease. Alzheimer's is a progressive and irreversible brain disorder recognized by
deterioration of memory, reasoning, language, and physical functioning. Parkinson's disease is a
chronic and progressive movement disorder, meaning the symptoms continue and worse over
time.
