It is informed that, vide reference 1 st cited, the Commissioner of

Agriculture, AP, Guntur has communicated guidelines for implementation of Dr
YSR Polambadi (Farmer Field Schools) along with the crop wise revised targets
during Kharif 2020.
It is one of the flag ship programme of the Govt. of AP with a objective to
reduce the Cost of Cultivation and increase the productivity duly empowering the
farmers to take economical decisions by adopting practices of Integrated Crop
Management
The Commissioner of Agriculture, AP,Guntur has also instructed to procure
IPM Kits and Sweepnets through Self Help Groups (SHGs) identified by the
concerned district PD,DRDA.
Accordingly, as per the Polambadi targets, the requirement of IPM Kits and Sweep
nets are as detailed here under.

The targeted Polambadis will be implemented by the VAA/VHA/VSAs in their

selected Secretariat locations duly identifying the areas and beneficiary farmers. The
Polambadi demonstrations have to be organized in 2 Acres of the Collabarator farmer
field for 10-14 weeks as per the crop with 30 farmers per Polambadi. The identified gaps
in the targeted crop should be scheduled for 14 weeks and the programme is to be
conducted as per the schedule.IPM Kits are used for conducting regular field experiments
such as comparison between ICM and farmer practice and observations for Agro Eco
System.Sweep nets are used to capture the insects. 6.
It is further informed that vide reference 2 nd cited, the Commissioner of
Agriculture, AP, Guntur has allocated Rs.5000/- per Polambadi for 30 IPM Kit & 5
Sweep net @ 30 farmers per Polambadi.

 .SPECIFICATIONS FOR SWEEP NETS & IPM KITS:

Under quality check the specifications finalized by the expert committee for
purchase of IPM Kits is given below. The insect sweep nets and IPM Kits to be supplied
should possess the following specifications.

Hence, Orders, are issued to PD, DRDA,Krishna to identify suitable SHG to

procure the 41370 Nos IPM Kits and 6895 Nos Sweep Nets worth of Rs.68,95,000/-
(Rupees Sixty eight Lakhs ninty five Thousand only).(Kharif-724 Polambadis and Rabi-
655 Polambadis-Total-1379 Polambadis)
As the Kharif season started and crop sowings are under progress, it is requested to
immediately supply the Kharif targets of 724 Polambadis – 21720 no. of IPM Kits and
3620 no. of Sweepnets to the destination points, i.e. Mandal Agricultural Offices at the
earliest within two weeks within the allotted budget for organizing Polambadis as per
the Kharif targets.
