Gender Sensitive Code of Conduct for Candidates and Political Parties"

1.Sexist remarks, jokes, songs, that disrespect, insult, degrade women, the LGBT
community, persons with disability, senior citizens, indigenous people, and other
marginalized groups.

Explanation
- These acts are clearly violation to women’s rights and to their human rights and
are punishable by law that it should not be tolerated. The state should promote
awareness and observance of the right of women to be free from violence, and the
right of women to have their human rights respected and protected and that every
person especially public servants to refrain from engaging in any act or practice
of violence against women and to ensure that their authorities, officials,
personnel, agents, and institutions act in conformity with this obligation.
