The Indian Army Russia For the procurement of over 7.5 lakh AK-203 assault rifles. A total
(IA) of 1 lakh rifles come directly from Russia, remaining 6.5 lakh rifles
will be manufactured by Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited
(IRRPL), at Amethi district’s Korwa town in Uttar Pradesh. IRRPL is
a joint-venture of the Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) of India and
Rosoboron Exports and Kalashnikov of Russia. Click here
India Bangladesh In the field of Information and Broadcasting along with content
exchange programme between All India Radio (AIR) and
Bangladesh Radio Betar, during the Information and Broadcasting
Ministers meet 2020 in New Delhi. India and Bangladesh is also co-
producing a biopic of “BangaBandhu”, Sheikh Mujibur Rehman, the
first President of Bangladesh, which will be released during his
birth centenary, March 17, 2020. Bangladesh will celebrate the
“Mujib Year” from March 17, 2020 to March 17 2021.
India Bangladesh Have signed an agreement to upgrade the 50.58 kilometer long
Ashuganj-Akhaura road into a 4-lane highway. The road runs
between Ashuganj river port and the Akhaura land port in
Bangladesh. The road project is part of the $2 billion second Line of
Credit(LoC) extended by India to Bangladesh in 2016. Roads and

between Ashuganj river port to Dharhar area of Chattisgarh.
Indian Oil Corporation National For the implementation of Ghana’s National LPG (Liquified
(IOC) Petroleum Petroleum Gas) Promotion Policy. Mr.Alhassan Sulemna Tampuli,
Authority Chief Executive, NPA, Ghana and Mr. L.K.S Chauhan, Chief General
(NPA) of Manager (LPG), Indian Oil signed MoU. The purpose of this MoU is
Ghana Oil to strengthen cooperation between the Parties in the petroleum
Regulator field specifically LPG. The Indian Oil will support the NPA on
successful implementation of the Re-circulation Model (CRM) of
LPG.

HM Amit Shah signs historic Bru-Reang refugee agreement in New Delhi; around 34,000 refugees to be
settled in Tripura
Union Minister for Home Affairs (HM), Shri Amit Shah has presided over the signing of a quadripartite
agreement between the central government and state Governments of Tripura, Mizoram and
representatives of the Bru tribe in New Delhi to end 23-year old Bru-Reang refugee crisis. As per the
new agreement, about 34,000 Bru refugees will be inhabited in Tripura and assisted by central
government with its allocated budget of Rs 600 crores to help in their resettlement. Read full details

India Maldives To establish Addu tourism Zone on 5 islands of Addu Atoll in Maldives
with a project cost of $2.49 million. In addition, 6th MoU to set up a
bottled water plant at Hoarafushi, an inhabited island in Maldives was
also signed. All 6 projects will be granted under India’s High Impact
Community Development Scheme (HICDP), which was signed during the
visit of Former External Affairs Minister late Sushma Swaraj to Male in
March 2019.
India Myanmar For regular passenger bus service between Imphal and Mandalay. The
bus service will begin in April 2020. The MOU was signed between the
two firms namely Shwe Mandalar Express Company limited,

end at the border of Tamu from there Indian bus operators will take
passengers to Moreh town in Manipur.

BBIN Nations deliberated on MoU to implement Motor Vehicles Agreement (MVA)
BBIN (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal) member nations discussed the proposed MoU (Member of
Understanding), signed on June 15, 2015, to implement Motor Vehicle Agreement (MVA) for regulation
of the passenger, personal & cargo vehicular traffic among the countries. The meeting was held in New
Bihar to get north India’s first bird ringing station and MoU inked in Gujarat
Bihar becomes North India’s first “bird ringing station” for observation, monitoring & research on
migratory birds and 4th state in the country after Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Rajasthan (Jaipur) and Orissa
(Bhubaneshwar). The bird ringing station will be at Bhagalpur, Bihar, located close to the Ganges & is
known to be a favorite destination of migratory birds. The MoU was signed on the occasion of CMS-
COP13 (Conservation of Migratory species- conference of parties) or the 13th Conservation of
Migratory Species- Conference of Parties held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
India & Norway signs LoI for collaboration on blue economy for sustainable development in
New Delhi, India
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Earth Sciences, Dr. Harsh Vardhan along
with Norway’s Minister for Climate and Environment, H.E. Mr Sveinung Rotevatn have jointly
inaugurated the ‘India-Norway Task Force on Blue Economy for Sustainable Development’ at the
3rd meeting of the Task Force in New Delhi, India. The 2 countries also signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) &
agreed to support and work together on Integrated Ocean Management & Research.
MoU signed between NMCG, (SPMG-UK) & ICT to renovate Ghats at Gangotri & Badrinath
Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding ( Mou) was signed between the National Mission for Clean
Ganga(NMCG),State Program Management Group-Uttarakhand (SPMG-UK) & Indorama Charitable
Trust (ICT) at New Delhi to renovate Ghats at Badrinath & Ghats & Crematoria at Gangotri in
Uttarakhand. The total cost of the project is 26.64 Crore. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) is
developed by M/S WAPCOS a Government of India enterprise. The 15 months work is to start by March
2020. The duration of the MoU is 7 years.
