» How to reach Somnath :
Amdavad is connected by Rail, Road and Air with all the major destinations. Veraval Somnath is
connected with Amdavad to Rail and Road facilities. Somnath is at a distance of 465 km. from
Amdavad. At present Jet Airwais operates passenger flight from Bombay to Diu every day accept
Thursday. Somnath is connected with Diu by road (95 km).

Mount Abu

The bulk of domestic tourists are from the adjoining state of "Gujarat". Also worth a visit are the beautifully sculptured
Gaumukh Temple, Honeymoon Point , Om Shanti Bhawan ,Brahma Kumaris Gyan Sarovar and the attractive wildlife
sanctuary (Trevors Tank) with its beautiful landscape sheltering a decent wildlife species. One can enjoy trekking ,
horse safari, rock climbing besides the rich fauna and flora. Going out in the dawn to the little green tracks around to
view the exotic morning calm is a pleasure indeed. The soft and energizing rays of the morning sun are quite an
inspiration . We also moved around the skating tracks and could see the young and not so young skating on the zig
zag tracks for fun and decided to take two took short excursions to Ambaji (10 kms away) and the popular Pava Puri
Jain temples.

Mount Abu, I thought was quite an ideal location for the weekenders. The place is a wonderful rendezvous with
nature and its multifaceted splendour . I saw each and every photo clicked by digital camera and many ideas started
coming to my mind. This dreamland and a sweet getaway was special indeed for the leisure traveler . Mt. Abu also
has a few rare plants and herbs in its zone attracting researchers and the like. This glorious ambience suited mainly
to the lives of sages and (Garasia) tribal's and who seem to have made a great impact on the history of the region.
Our sojourn gradually coming to an end and we headed for our return journey with the lingering memories of the
lovely oasis in the 'Land of Maharajas'

In reference to fulfillment of PMAS form 2009.
Seeking your kind cooperation on following;
What is the procedure to be followed by a newly joined academic staff
in filling the form and under mentioned goals in Individual workplan?
I had gone through the entire format of PMAS form but nothing has
been given in accordance with which I can layout my workplans for the
coming semester.
Kindly advise me in this regard. Do please also inform me the last date
to submit it. Enclosing with this mail a copy of PMAS form 2010 filled
