Want a quick warm weather project that can be completed in a weekend? Cirrus is the perfect quick project to add a
fun top to your summer wardrobe. This top features repeating rows of basic stitches combined with rows of simple
eyelets, making it fun to crochet. Simple seaming creates an open shoulder design that can easily be altered for those
who wish to make their tee in a more traditional style. Slit seams on each side can also be adjusted to your preference.
This design is great for layering, or wearing over your swimsuit while at the beach. In keeping with the customization
theme of this design, I included 8 sizes so you can find your perfect fit.

NOTES

•Gauge is crucial to this project and should be worked in double crochet. Be sure to check your
gauge often.
•Beginning ch counts as a stitch in the row count.
•Sample is worked in size small with fewer rows.
•Sizes included in the pattern are X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X-Large, 3X-Large, 4X-
Large, and are labeled as XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X) in the instructions. These sizes are made to fit
bust sizes 32” (36”, 40”, 44”, 48”, 52”, 56”, 60”) with 2 inches of positive ease for a total size of
34” (38”, 42”, 46”, 50”, 54”, 58”, 62”). Total length is 20” (21”, 22.5”, 24.5”, 25.25”, 26.25”, 26.5”,
27”).
•When working with hand-dyed yarns, I strongly recommend alternating yarns every couple of rows
to blend colors and minimize pooling and striping. Here is a video showing how to do so.

BODY SEAMING INSTRUCTIONS

Lay your pieces together with their RS facing
each other. Use the schematics and diagram
provided for seaming and measuring. To seam
the shoulders and neckline along the top
edge, make a 1” (1”, 1”, 1”, 2”, 2”, 2”, 2”) seam
from one edge, skip 3” (4”, 4”, 5”, 6”, 5”, 5”, 6”)
for the shoulder opening, make another 1” (1”,
1”, 1”, 2”, 2”, 2”, 2”), skip 7” (7”, 9”, 9”, 9”, 9”,
11”, 11”) for the neck opening, make a 1” (1”,
1”, 1”, 2”, 2”, 2”, 2”) seam from one edge, skip

3” (4”, 4”, 5”, 6”, 5”, 5”, 6”) for the shoulder
opening, make another 1” (1”, 1”, 1”, 2”, 2”, 2”,
2”), and then fasten off.
For the side seams: measure down 6” (7”, 7.5”,
8”, 8.5”, 9”, 9.5”, 10”) from the top for the arm
hole opening, make a 12”, (12”, 13”, 14”, 14”,
FINISHING
Weave in all your tails using a tapestry needle.
Soak your tee for 20 minutes in lukewarm
water, press out the excess moisture with a
Cirrus
15”, 15”, 15”) seam along the side, leave the
remaining 2” (2”, 2”, 2.5”, 2.75”, 2.25”, 2.5”, 2”)
open for the bottom side slit. {Repeat for the
second side.}
towel and lay your tee flat, pin to shape, and
