Khaman Dhokla is a delicacy enjoyed by all people across the country. And today, I will be teaching you how to
make Khaman Dhokla in cooker.

We will also prepare Khaman Chutney and papaya sambharo too.

All the ingredients for making the Khaman Dhokla are available right at home.

Ingredients and making process:

Ingredients for Khaman Dhokla

– Take 1 cup (200ml) + 3 tbsp. gram flour (Besan)

- 1 tbsp. powdered sugar - Sift the ingredients into a bowl

- Add 1 pinch turmeric powder

- 1/2 tsp citric acid (nimbu ka sat) or lemon juice

- 1 tbsp. oil

- Add 1/2 cup water and start whisking

- Add another 1/2 cup water and mix well

- 1/2 tsp. salt - Maintain consistency (check video) Prepare steamer for steaming

- In a pan place a stand and add water

- Heat the water on medium flame

- Take a 6 by 6 inch tin and grease with oil

- Add 1/2 tsp Baking soda to the Dhokla mixture

- Mix well - Transfer the mixture on the mould and cover the top

- Let it steam for about 15 minutes

- Let the Dhokla cool

Prepare the tadka (seasoning)

- In a pan take 1 & 1/2 tbsp. oil

- Add 2 spicy chilli to the oil

- 1 tbsp. mustard seeds (sarso)

- Some curry leaves (Kadi Patta)


- Add little asafoetida (Hing)

- 1 & 1/2 tbsp. white til (sesame)

- Add 100 ml water after the sesame is fried

- 2 tbsp. sugar - Boil the entire seasoning

- Let it cool - Unmould the Dhokla and transfer in a plate

- Cut the Dhokla into pieces - Pour the seasoning on top

- Let it rest for 5 minutes

- Add grated coconut on top

- Add finely chopped coriander - Our Khaman Dhokla is ready for serving!

Prepare Khaman Chutney

- Take 8-10 pieces of Khaman Dhokla in a jar (100 g)

- 4-5 green chilli and 1 small ginger piece

- 1 tbsp. sugar - Salt per taste

- 1 tbsp. lemon juice

- 1 cup coriander

- 1/2 cup water - Grind the mixture

- The chutney is ready!

Recipe for Sambharo

- Take 1 tbsp. oil in a pan

- 1 tsp. mustard seeds (Rai)

- Add little asafoetida (hing)

- Add chopped green chilli

- Little turmeric powder

- Add grated raw papaya

- Salt per taste

- Add lemon juice and sugar

- Mix well - Our delicious Khaman Dhokla with Khaman Chutney and tasty Sambharo is ready to serve!
