A LIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PANDEMIC

START:

Maria's family is conformed by her father Emilio, her mother Carmen, and her brothers

Julio, Esteban and Carlos, they are part of a Colombian family that in the middle of their

poverty are happy in their own way. They have a farm, in this place her family cultivate

what is necessary and thanks to God they have food everyday.

Maria is a girl who likes to study, she thinks that if she work hard for her dream she will

become a doctor one day in the future, and she loves that, is her dream, she need to come

true this thought; for this reason everyday of her life, she walks many kilometers to reach

her school located somewhere in Colombia where the roads are long, but the desire for

dreams to come true is stronger.

KNOT:

In the middle of March the world was surprised by a pandemic called covid19 which

changed all the customs, worldwide quarantine was declared to protect us from massive

contagions, we must stay home. The days passed and the despair of Maria increased and

she found out that the classes would be virtual, so she ask, how she would study without a

computer? She only had an old cellphone that provided a not very good service, which her
father got when a neighbor gave him, she exchanged it for food produced by her small

garden.

OUTCOME

The signal was insufficient in his town, but one day improve when she climbed a tree and

realized that everything her teacher say, she can heard loud and clear, from that moment his

father conditioned the tree as her study room.

The important thing is to fight for our dreams and not give up never, because we need to do

everything that we want. We deserve to be happy and this is my story, I´m going to be

whatever that I wish for my family and me.
