Re: Docket Number G0328-09

To whom it may concern:

My name is Ellen Sinclair I am writing in regards to Docket number G0328-09. As you can see this case is
from 7 yrs. ago. A time in my life I made many bad choices. These bad choices continued for many years,
to a point I ended up in the State Prison in Boise Idaho. It turned out to be the wakeup call I needed.
Since being paroled, I have found employment with Harry and David. My employment started out as
seasonal this last winter however because of my hard work I have gone from seasonal to year around
employment. With this employment I have been paying what I can every payday toward the fines and
fees which I choose to overlook for so many years. I have made some headway in getting them paid off
and paid down. I have got all the fees from Idaho paid down to around $100.00 and making my
probation fees here in Oregon as well as paying off other debt from those past years. In addition I am
actively helping take care of my Mother and Father as they are in declining health. My mother is
bedridden in a nursing home with multiple strokes and my Father with serious medical issues of his own.
My father has indicated I can use my mother’s car if I can get my license and insurance.

The reason for this letter is to request some considerations from the courts. As I mentioned above I have
been promoted to year around employment at Harry and David however most days my shift starts at
around 6 am. The buses don’t start running till 6am and I have been unable to find a reliable
transportation to work so it is making it almost impossible to get the hours I need to provide for myself
and take care of my responsibilities. I have to get my Drivers license released so I can get to and from
Work. I believe my fines with Eagle Point Court was around $500 when first assessed against me but
with interest it has grown to what is now $950 plus dollars even with the payments I’ve made. I have
spoken to a friend and with their help I can come up with $450 to get my license released for
reinstatement if it can be worked out with the courts. I would then be able to work the hours it is going
to take to manage. I know it is not the entire amount but hope the courts can and will work with me. I
have spoken with Southern Oregon Credit (Mandy) and she indicated it was a decision only you can
make. Again I am working to do all the right things to continue to become a good standing member of
society. I am very proud of what I have accomplished thus far but certainly have a long way to go to
work my way out of the last 10 years.

If you would take the time to contact my Probation officer (Nick Reiten 541-774-4903) you will find I
have and am doing what I need to do to take care of my responsibilities. I need to work and with my
past I am blessed to have a good job however not being able to secure transportation my employer
cannot give me the hours I need to take care of the responsibilities I have. Thank you for your
consideration.

Sincerely,

Ellen Sinclair
