Esri Indonesia’s Emergency Spatial Support Center (ESSC)

• ESSC is a team in Esri Indonesia that was specifically formed to assist all stakeholders (Ministries,
Agencies, NGOs, and the public) in providing and utilizing disaster information in a geospatial
approach.
• Collecting spatial data related to disasters from various sources: public, communities, organizations,
ministries and agencies.
• Develop GIS portal with web and mobile applications related to disasters.
• Providing workshops and seminars. Some of them were conducted in locations affected by the
disaster.
• Collaboration with humanitarian organizations or community (eg NGOs) to support operational
activities with a geospatial approach.

COVID-19 News Explorer in Indonesia
Today's challenge in unstructured big data is that it exists in many disparate places, streams, and formats.

Through the integration of Geospark Analytics Artificial Intelligence (AI) models into Esri platform, our
users are able to analyze streaming content such as local and global news and build narrative summaries.
