How to set

up your
Google Email
Step 1
Open a Google Chrome Web Browser

Icon should look like this


Step 2
Enter “gmail.com” in the search bar
Step 3

Enter child’s “GDOE Email Address”,


then click next
Step 4

Enter your child’s email “PASSWORD”, then


click next. You will be directed to “Loading
Gmail”
Step 5

Read Google Terms of Service and Google


Privacy Policy, then click “Accept”.
Step 6

Change Password (Note: Keep password saved


and available at all times to avoid having to
reset the password. Resetting passwords may
take some time.)
Step 7

Click the email that says “Class Invitation”


from your 3rd grade teacher.
Step 8
You will be directed to your teacher’s Google
Classroom invitation page. Click “join”.
Step 9
You will see your child’s name and email.
(Please be sure your child’s name is correct.)
Click “Continue”, then I’m a student.
Step 10
Hooray! You are now in your Google Classroom!
