Summary

The course Financial Accounting (BUS 207) has helped me to

enlighten my insight about the principles of accounting. Being a
student of science background, the issues that I faced in
understanding and utilizing distinctive accounting terms were
cleared during this course. This course taught me how to prepare
Journal and Ledger entries as well as Financial Statements, which
included Income Statement and Statement of Financial Position and
helped me to understand how each transaction made during the
accounting period, affects both these statements. The course
likewise secured the new concept of Internal Control which
incorporated the concept and calculations of Cash Book, Petty
Cashbook and Bank Reconciliation Statement and furthermore
helped me to understand how Internal control can be utilized by an
association to guarantee the trustworthiness of budgetary and
accounting data, advance responsibility and prevent fraud.
