Dear Parent or Guardian,

It has been determined that your student​ Devin Barthman​ was exposed to novel coronavirus

(COVID-19) through close contact with a confirmed case. Based on guidance from the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Weber-Morgan Health Department, it is recommended that
your student complete a 14-day quarantine. A packet of information is attached.

Key Points:
● Your student will be asked to quarantine from 8/19/2020 through 8/31/2020​.
● Please watch for symptoms that may develop. Some common symptoms of COVID-19 include:
○ cough* ○ new loss of taste or smell*
○ fever or chills* ○ shortness of breath or
○ muscle or body aches* difficulty breathing*
○ sore throat*
● If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19, testing is recommended. For testing locations, visit:
coronavirus.utah.gov/testing-locations​,​ ​or by contacting your healthcare provider.
● Please know that a negative test result will not shorten your student’s quarantine. Symptoms
could develop at any point, so it is important to remain in quarantine for the entire 14 days.
● While quarantined, please have your student stay at home. It is important to maintain diligent
handwashing and continue to practice physical distancing by staying 6 feet away from other
household members. It is also recommended to not share bedding, dishes, or towels.

family, but it is necessary to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our school and community. If you have
