PLEDGE OF COMMITMENT
We, the Davao Regional Medical Center Adolescent and Youth Wellness Clinic, Department of
Education , Tagum City and Davao del Norte Divisions, City Health Office, Tagum City and the Provincial
Health Office, Province of Davao del Norte, are fully aware of the issues and concerns of the adolescents
and the importance of Adolescent and Youth Wellness Clinic Programs particularly on the needs and
issues of having volunteer peer counselors who will assist the hub in providing counselling to the
adolescents of our locality, do hereby commit the following:
1. Davao Regional Medical Center Adolescent and Youth Wellness Clinic commits:
1.1 To conduct training on Adolescent Job Aid (AJA), ADEPT, and Healthy Young ones;
1.2 To make available its facilities and provide technical assistance in support of the conduct of
trainings and orientation to identified peer counselor volunteers;
1.3 To strengthen the advocacy of the implementation of the Adolescent and Youth Wellness
Programs;
1.4 To conduct regular monitoring activities on the implementation of Adolescent and Youth
Programs
1.5 To open channels of communication for the enhancement/refinement and further
Development of the Adolescent and Youth Wellness Program.
2. The Department of Education commits:
2.1 To integrate Adolescent and Youth Wellness programs in secondary elementary levels
(Grades 4,5 and 6) and in high schools Teaching Activities;
2.2 To identify the target participants, interested peer counselor volunteers and to make them
available during the conduct of Trainings on Adolescent and Youth Programs;
2.3 To develop systems/projects to mainstream Adolescent and Youth Wellness Awareness;
2.4 To provide other forms of support that may be deemed necessary and important in the
implementation of Adolescent and Youth Wellness programs and activities.
3. City Health Office, Tagum City and Provincial Health office, Davao del Norte commit:
3.1 To make available its facilities and provide technical assistance in support of the Conduct of
Adolescent and Youth Wellness Orientation activities;
3.2 To share copies of information materials related to Adolescent Health Programs
3.3 To provide technical assistance in the conduct of training on Adolescent Job Aid, ADEPT,
Healthy Young Ones and other capacity building activities;
3.4 To incorporate Adolescent and Youth Wellness programs to City and Provincial Youth
Oriented activities;
3.5 To identify Youth coming from different sectors to be peer counselor volunteers
and to make them available for voluntary service in DRMC-Adolescent and Youth Wellness
Clinics;
3.6 To provide any form of support that may be deemed necessary and important in the success
of Adolescent and Youth Wellness Programs.
