Badr city:

Description:
It is one of the cities located in Cairo governorate
between 30° 8′ 9.6″ N, 31° 42′ 54″ E which was
established to overcome overpopulation problem and
arid areas in Egypt. Badr city is a newly planned city
which was built in 1982. It also was established to be
an industrial city to attract local, Arab and foreign
investments.
Reasons of failure:
Despite it was built to reduce overpopulation problem
in GCMA but it didn’t manage to achieve its purpose
because of the small number of factories built in it that
wasn’t enough to employ people suffering from
unemployment in the overpopulated areas. It also
suffers from poor services and lack of them including
education, public health and it didn’t even manage the
simplest levels of sustenance for people living in it.
