D. Damaged Properties
• Based on damage assessment conducted by the Gingoog City Agriculturist,
almost 53 hectares of rice and 3.5 hectares of corn productions in Barangay
Santiago were heavily affected by flood. The estimated cost of damage was
placed at Php530,000.00.
• Fishing boats and nets worth Php33,000.00 in Gingoog City were also
reported damaged

E. Status of Evacuees

 At the height of the flashflood, there were 4,607 families/21,328 persons evacuated
who were temporarily housed in 14 evacuation centers in Cagayan de Oro City and
Iligan City.
 As of reporting time, the number of evacuees has gone down to 1,929 families /
9,361 persons who are still housed in 9 evacuation centers.

III Actions Taken


• The DSWD Field Office 10 provided relief assistance worth Php372,760.00
consisting of family food packs as augmentation support /assistance to the
flood-stricken LGUs. Relief operations are still on going in the cities affected
• DSWD FO 10 has sufficient standby funds worth Php292,189.11 and stockpile
of relief commodities consisting of food worth Php77,431.20 and non food
items Php413,568.00
• Concerned CDCCs immediately provided relief assistance such as food, potable
water, emergency shelter and clothing to the affected families.
• CDCC-Disaster Management Operations Center (DMOC) personnel, Rescue 811,
PNRC-Iligan, Kabalikat, MDCC-Kauswagan, Rescue 759, Rescue Luga-it, PCG

Auxilliary and the AFP assisted in the rescue operations and in transporting the
victims to the evacuation centers
• SAR operations in respective cities were immediately effected. However, in
Cagayan de Oro City around 80 families of Brgy 15 refused to board PCG
Rescue Boats and insisted to return to their homes despite strong advise by
rescuers and CDCC representatives .PNP provided security and traffic
management for easy access to the affected areas
Assistance provided in the following cities were as follows:

Cagayan de Oro City:


• RDCC members composed of MGB-DENR, CDO DILG, CDO CENRO, OCD and
10th TOG conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Cagayan de Oro
City.
• The Cagayan de Oro City responders were: 4th ID PA, PCG Special Operations
Group, 10th TOG PAF, Oro Alert , PNRC Cagayan de Oro Chapter, Oro Rafters,
Kagay Water Rafters, PRO-10 personnel, COCPO and BFP-10 EMS
• Two teams of the Special Operation Group (SOG)-PCG and the SARV 3503
conducted SAR
• PAF 505th Search and Rescue Squadron on stand-by at Lumbia Airport, Cagayan de
Oro City
• Cagayan de Oro CDCC established Command Post at the City Tourism Hall and held
an emergency meeting.

Food and Non-food items


• Robinson’s Supermarket – 97 pieces bihon pack, 77 pieces bihon palabok pack,
525 pieces misua pack, 208 cans 555 Carne Norte
• Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA) -12 bags of linen;
• NESTLE Philippines - 51 boxes Milo drink;
• Grains Retailers Confederations of the Philippines (GRECON)-30 sacks of rice;
• TRANSCO - 9 boxes of assorted canned goods;
• Rotary International District 3870 - 6 sacks of rice, 1 box of used clothing, 40
loaves of bread;
• STI Rotary Club of Center Point – 50 boxes assorted goods & food items;
• SM City Cagayan – 180 family food packs;
• DYNAMIC Pharmacy – 1 box assorted medicines;
• Xavier Estates Catholic Groups – assorted used clothing and boxes of food
items;
• Bombo Radyo Philippines – 3 boxes bottled water and assorted food items.
• PNRC also provided 36 sacks rice, 18 boxes sardines (100 cans), 38 boxes of
noodles (72 packs) while Robinson’s Super Market provided 97 pcs. Bihon pack,
77 pcs Bihon palabok, 525 pcs Misua and 208 cans 555 Carne Norte

Gingoog City
• LGU/CSWD/various local officials/GISSO provided foods and NFIs such as rice,
sardines, noodles, sugar, coffee and bihon
• PDCC Misamis Oriental provided assistance to Gingoog City evacuees such as
35 sacks of rice, 7 boxes of Tinapa, 7 boxes of Noodles and 200 pieces of loaf
bread
• Organized a medical team from the District Hospital personnel who conducted
medical check up at the evacuation centers

Iligan City
• PNRC/Iligan City Government/local officials provided food items such as rice,
sardines and noodles
• Iligan CSWDO recommended that CDCC provide the following assistance:
itemized food assistance worth Php404,870.00; financial assistance to owners
of totally washed-out houses and owners of severely destroyed houses worth
Php425,000.00; incentives to relief workers in the amount of Php300,000.00 for a
total of Php1,129,870.00
• The Iligan City coordinative response efforts by CDCC-DMOC personnel and
other responding agencies and emergency rescue groups jointly transported
population to various evacuation centers and rescued trap victims
• The iligan city responders were CDCc-DMOC, Rescue811, PNRC Iligan,
Kabalikat, MDOC Kauswagan Rescue 759, Rescue LUgahit , PCG Auxilliary, PNP
Iligan, AFP, Traffic police and CVOs
