    Dear Aldermen Brennen and Mulliner,

    Please submit this email as written communication at the next gathering of Elmhurst City
    Council.

    I am asking the Elmhurst City Council to please reconsider the handling of the hoop house
    case.   The hoop house is a temporary structure and permanent structure policies do not
    apply.   The government cannot be selective in applying rules because a few people are
    concerned about aesthetics. Moreover, as we continue to distance ourselves during this
    pandemic, self-sustaining gardens feed a family and protect us all by limiting exposure in
    stores.

    Please make a referral to the City Council to open this issue again. I ask for the parameters
    used by the USDA -similar to  the program the City of Chicago has approved and adopted-
    be implemented in this case and throughout Elmhurst for the betterment of our village.
