Nanga Parbat Base Camp

Nanga Parbat, 8125 meters is the 2nd. highest peak in Pakistan and 9th. tallest in world. It has 3
famous faces to climb with different approach to its base camps i.e. Diamer Face, Raikot Face and
Rupal Face. Rupal Face is known for its world tallest vertical wall to climb, rising for 4570meters from
base to the peak.

Day 1: Islamabad – Besham – Chilas

We depart early and drive to Besham via Haripur, Abbottabad and Mansehra. After a short break at
Besham, we resume our drive on Karakoram Highway, along River Indus. We will make photo stops at
Shatial Rocks with ancient graffiti's on it. We reach Chilas and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Chilas – Karimabad (Hunza Valley)

From Chilas we travel on towards Hunza and on the way sightseeing at Nanga Parbat View Point and
confluence of 3 mountain ranges (Karakorum, Himalaya and Hindukush) including the confluence of
Gilgit River into the Indus. From here we reach Gilgit. We shall continue bypassing Gilgit and following
Hunza River. We will have lunch stopover at Rakaposhi viewpoint and then will move on to reach
Karimabad, the capital of Hunza valley. We will check in to hotel in Karimabad on arrival.

Day 3: Karimabad – Excursion Khunjerab Pass

Today we will make an excursion to the Sino-Pak border at Khunjerab, crossing the villages of Gulmit,
Passu and Sost en route. Khunjerab is the highest point on KKH at 4734 meters and considered as the
highest trade route in the world. In the evening we will return to Karimabad.

Day 4: Karimabad – Astore – Tarashing

After breakfast we will depart for Tarshing. On reaching Astore we will drive by jeeps to Tarashing, a
lovely village at the head of jeep track. We will establish our camp for night stay.

Day 5 - 7 : Trekking

Day 8: Return hike to Tarashing

Day 9: Tarashing – Chilas – Besham

From Tarashing we will take jeeps to reach Astore from where we will shift to our vehicle and drive
along Astore River towards KKH. We will reach KKH and start driving along River Indus towards
Besham. We will reach Besham in late evening and transfer to hotel on arrival.

Day 10: Besham – Islamabad

To drive back to Islamabad, we make an early departure from Besham. Passing through Manshera,
Abbottabad and Havelian we will reach Islamabad at our designated drop off place.
