HDD/SSD A hard disk drive (HDD) is known to be a non-volatile •Disk platter storage

The VGA works in grid of pixels where each of the

a specific color. It consist of 480 rows and each of
those rows consists of 640 pixels.
Laptop 1 comes with an OS of 64 bit whilst Laptop 1 OS
Laptop 2 is a 32-bit OS

64 bit is much more proficient than 32 bit

processor because it handles and utilizes more
data at once whereas a 32 bit processor can only
handle a limited amount of RAM.

The CPU speed is measured by clock speed that Laptop 1 CPU

is either measured in hertz (Hz0 or gigahertz
(GHz). Hence, one gigahertz is equivalent to
1000 MHz, which a speed of 2,5 gigahertz can
be expressed as 2500 Megahertz. When the
clock speed is more higher then the speed is
boosted, so theres more operation the CPU can
perform within a second.

-Laptop 2
-Its affects its performance in terms of its clock
speed, which means that the higher the speed the
more operations the CPU can execute within a
second

-Laptop 1
-It boosts its system performance and enables
the processor to access data relevant to a current
task.
The computer storage and memory is usually Laptop 1 - RAM
measured in megabytes and gigabytes. So
Basically to measure storage and memory the
GB could mean either a 1,000,000 or
1024*1048576 bytes.

Volatile memory is regarded as temporary of a

computer system while a non-volatile is said to
be the permanent memory of the computer
system.

-Laptop 1
-Given that it has more storage in the volatile
memory on its RAM and cache which makes the
performance of the system more efficient.

Laptop 2. Laptop 2 HDD

-Laptop 2
-This affects its system performance which
makes it relatively slow. However, there is more
storage space and more amount of data can be
stored in the system permanently.

Based on my personal computing needs, I have decided to purchase my laptop intentionally to watch
Movies and TV. Given that, the PLEX media does not require a relatively large space capacity to
download the app. Hence, I would preferably go for laptop in option 1. The reason to why I have
chosen to purchase laptop 1 is due to it’s 64-bit OS that makes it handle more data efficiently. Not only
that, it has specification of intel core i7-8550 and a CPU speed of 2.0 gigahertz and 8Mb L3 cache that
heavily impacts the systems performance. With that, the more space on its volatile memory (RAM and
cache) and non-volatile memory (SDD) enables it to store large amount of data. This will enable the
laptop to perform more efficiently to its full capacity. In addition, it perfectly fits the criteria and
preference of laptop that I would like to purchase with the given the budget.
