Speech – Language Speech – language pathologists work to stop, measure, analyze,


Pathology and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive –
communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
Students would benefit most from this if they have speech
impediments or social communication issues.
Occupational Therapy Occupational therapists work to recuperate individuals with
physical or mental illness and help them with daily living skills that
have to do with fine and gross motor skills. Students would benefit
most from this if they have difficulty with fine and gross motor
skills.
Physical Therapy Physical therapists work to treat individuals of every age with
medical/health problems that hinder their abilities to move and
perform normal, everyday activities. Students would benefit from
physical therapy services if they have problems with moving
regularly or if they are recovering from an injury.
Counseling Services Counseling services involve a trained and licensed counselor giving
guidance on an individual’s personal, social, or psychological
issues. Students would benefit from counseling services if they
suffer from any of those issues mentioned before.
Medical Services Medical services involve treating illnesses/injuries that require a
quick medical response, providing out-of-hospital care, and
transportation to a hospital if need be. Students would benefit
from medical services if they have needs that would require any of
the said services.
Social Work Services Social work services involve a trained and licensed social worker
helping individuals cope with everyday problems, providing clinical
services, and offering diagnosis and treatment of mental health
issues. Students would benefit from social work services if they
suffer from mental health problems.
Parent Counseling Parent counseling services involve a trained and licensed
Services counselor that counsels parents to use the necessary knowledge,
tools, guidance, and support to raise their children without bias or
judgement. Students would benefit from parent counseling
services whether or not their parents have a good relationship
with them or not.
Interpreting Services Interpreting services involve a trained interpreter that provides a
student that is deaf/ESL with the option to have a conversation
with a hearing person by converting the words, emotions, and
tone of a spoken language into the individual’s native tongue.
Students would benefit from interpreting services if English is their
second language or if they are deaf.
Psychological Services Psychological services are offered by trained and licensed
psychologists and involve services that include diagnostic,
treatment, educational, and consultation. Students would benefit
from psychological services if they suffer from psychological abuse
or underlying issues that hinder their mental health.
Orientation and Mobility Orientation and Mobility services are services involving staff that
Services provide assessments, instruction, technical assistance, and
materials that help people with visual impairments travel and live
their life to the best of their ability. Students would benefit from
orientation and mobility services if their mobility is affected in any
way that would hinder their learning or daily living.
