NAVOTAS NHS: School in a Box

I learned that education is endless...The more I learn, the smarter I get, and the
smarter I get, the more I realize how much I have to learn. It seems that education is
unending so to speak. I am very much aware also that education is not only limited to the
four corners of the classroom and that, learning takes place anywhere.

Now, after watching the video of Navotas NHS, I feel somewhat happy. It is just
so surreal but nice. Even in the midst of this pandemic, people from the education sector
were able to deliver such goods to the target stakeholders. With their initiative, “school in
a box” it merely shows that when it comes to education, nothing can stop us. It is really
worth emulating, the good example they have shown to all parts of the world, that
education comes first. The Bayanihan spirit is alive. The Filipino tradition of helping one
another in times of distress is strengthened. It feels so overwhelming that everybody can
be part of an endeavor. No one can stop anyone to extend a help in times of need and
everyone can share his time, talent and treasure just to make sure that the young people
can receive a good education even in the health crisis that people all over the globe is
facing.

In the recent trend in education, almost all of us are aware that we can only
succumb to online and modular distance learning. I realize that anything can happen
anytime. Life is indeed unpredictable. All I need to do is to always be on guard. Guided
by the mandate of the Deped high officials and the school improvement plan and other
plans of the school, I must keep myself on track of what will happen next. But of course,
I cannot carry on the plans without the assistance and collaboration of the stakeholders.
The example set by Navotas NHS will always be a part of my data driven decision-
making skills in the performance of my duty as the school leader.
