The Role of Education in Building Identities and its Purpose in Society

We are currently living in an evolving social world. In a world where developmental changes are
constant, with them comes human knowledge that is being enhanced and passed down to
generations. Education is undeniably the most important part of our human lives. It holds the
power to build identities and shape the society. First and foremost, What functions does
education serve in society? And how does this shape our human lives? Allow me to outline the
main grounds for why education is a globally significant notion.

Communication. Education always involves communication. Communication, being the most

important way of interacting with other people, is also being learned or enhanced through
education. We may think that education only takes place at school, but I'm here to tell you that,
unsurprisingly, education is also part of our day-to-day lives outside of school. Education starts
at home; it is a lifelong process that takes place wherever we go in this evolving world. When we
were in our early stages of life, we learned to walk and talk, and reading and writing were one of
the early ways of education. Without these being taught to children, it will make them illiterate
and miss out on lots of information about the world they are living in. A child cannot grow and
live on its own without knowing his or her language and alphabet and without socializing with
other people. That is why, education will aid in the development of his social skills by improving
his writing and speech and the manner in which he addresses his audience.

Wide chance of opportunities. Certainly, Education has a big role in helping a child plan ahead
for the things he wants to do in life whether it is his lifestyle or developing and pursuing his
passion. Education has the opportunity to help a child develop into the person he wants to
become. Along with that, Education helps create and provide jobs. So, with education, there is a
wide chance of employment and secure future. The knowledge and skills gained through the
developmental methods of education will be a huge advantage when looking for jobs, making a
good living, and doing what you are passionate about for the rest of your life. With better
education provided to the nation's youth and better opportunities in the country, employment for
the people will help them financially as well as the country's economic status.

Innovation and Preservation. The cultural heritage includes the sites, things, and practices our
ancestors have passed down to us and have influenced us, and are one of the bridges that have
made us reach this quality of life we are experiencing now, but as time passes, we are constantly
shifting to a modern technological world. Now, technological advancements have simplified our
day-to-day lives. As technology being developed, it is also being taught and influenced widely in
global communities. The benefits that technology has provided us make our world function as it
does right now. Technology and machineries produce and provide services to meet the needs and
desires of society. Technology have become an important part of our modern life. Thus, we must
teach the younger generation by passing on knowledge and skills through education, not only in
technology but also in other fields of work and passion for them to continue to function and
develop in the future. And lastly, Morale and Intellectuality. It is the key to approaching the
social world and allows us to better view how we will shape our own future. It is up to the
young individual what role he/she wants to play part in the society. With Education, it will help
develop the minds of the people in such a way that they become mentally, physically, spiritually,
and socially responsible, disciplined, well-mannered, motivated, and informed citizens of their
country and as individuals in this world.

So, what is the role of Education in building identities? Education is the predominant notion that
allows us to be acknowledged as intellectual members of the global society. It gives us a sense of
global kinship. Education improves the quality of life we are living; it enhances our abilities,
skills, values, and our own view of this physical world. Thus, education should always be
provided to every child. It is every individual’s right to have access to education. With education
up our sleeves, we can create the ideal identity that we want to show to society. With the help of
education, we can make our lives sublime.
