Act #1. Please answer the following question completely and direct to the point.
Answer succinctly: If you will be given the chance to solve any existing problem in
the world, what will it be and why? Outline the steps you will take to be able to solve
it.
Education
“The main hope of a Nation lies in proper education of its youth.” ~Erasmus
One of the global problems that we are facing then up until now is Education. Education is
indeed essential to us and the youths because education creates opportunities that they can bring
when they grew up. Education is always the hindrance of people in poverty line to succeed in our
society that requires high educational standard that can provide a good amount of money to
support his or her family which in fact many of our people and people around the world are
struggling because of the lack of attention and support system they could at least finish their
studies.. Finishing the education is a true game changer for people in the world to escape the
poverty and make themselves comfortable of living. Because of education, they’ll develop skills
and competence to become leaders and a role model in their communities.
Education is essential for youth in creating opportunities for themselves, staying away
from illegal activities and providing for their families. Hockey Dreams provide youth
with the solution to their biggest problem and help them finish their education so they
can become true game changers in their communities and in the world. Besides their
role as hockey coaches for thousands of kids, they learn the necessary skills and
competencies at school to become leaders and role models in their communities.
If I were given a chance to solve any existing problem in the world, it would be the
lack of education for many countries specially in the poverty line. If children were
just given a chance to be in school and be educated, people in the world wouldn’t
be suffering so much from poverty. Almost all the work that can provide good
money in the family requires high educational background and which infact many
of our people and people around the world are struggling because of the lack of
attention and support system they could atleast finish their studies.
Like a tree, poverty has many roots. But among the many causes of
global poverty, one factor stands out: education. Not every person
without an education is living in extreme poverty. But most of those
living in extreme poverty do lack a basic education. Those living below
the poverty line will also be more likely to keep their children out of
school, which means that their children will also have a greater
chance of living in poverty.
Education is often referred to as the great equalizer: It can open the
door to jobs, resources, and skills that a family needs to not just
survive, but thrive. Access to high-quality primary education and
supporting child well-being is a globally-recognized solution to
the cycle of poverty. This is, in part, because it also addresses many
of the other issues can keep communities vulnerable. Let’s look at 3
ways education is the secret ingredient to ending extreme poverty.
Economic growth
Reduced income inequality
Reduced infant and maternal deaths
Reduced stunting
Reduced vulnerability to HIV and AIDS
Reduced violence at home and in society
ccording to UNESCO, if all students in low-income countries had
just basic reading skills (nothing else), an estimated 171 million
people could escape extreme poverty. If all adults completed
secondary education, we could cut the global poverty rate by more
than half. 1.
EDUCATION DEVELOPS SKILLS AND
ABILITIES
A quality education system supports a child’s developing social,
emotional, cognitive and communication skills. Education programs
also support the development of knowledge and abilities (i.e., human
assets). Children who receive quality primary education are more
likely to develop these assets at a higher level. They can then use
these abilities and skills to earn higher incomes or further develop
other basic assets.
