    REFERENCE
    This refers to the 06 July 2017 Letter of Regional Development Council II Vice-
    Chairperson

    BACKGROUND
     RDC II Vice-Chairperson Maryanne E.T. Darauay, CESO III received a letter from
    PCCI Regional Governor Charles T. Lim
     Mr. Lim's letter raised several issues on rice smuggling.
     Ms. Darauay asked for the Bureau's input regarding the issues raised by Mr. Lim.

    ISSUE
    Whether the Bureau should respond to the 06 July 2017 letter

    DIVISION COMMENT
    Legal Services' comments are reflected in the letter of response.

    RECOMMENDATION
    In view of the foregoing, we recommend that this letter of response be taken as the
    official response of the Bureau to the 06 July 2017 letter.

    Should the Commissioner agree, attached for his signature is the draft Letter on the
    matter.

    For the Commissioner's consideration.

    APPROVED/DISAPPROVED
