1.1.3. Dissociating the coin disc

The correct distance between the coin disc and the plastic plate (gliding plate) is
0,3 mm. The dissociating can only put through at demounting counting system.

The distance will be controlled with a 0,3 mm feeler gauge. Æ Fig. 6

For dissociating the coin disc axis has to be demounted:

• Open 4 screws (SG 8) of the coin disc motor console
• Take off the V-belt
• Open the counter nut (SG 7) and the headless screw (AW 2,5) on the V-belt
disc Æ Fig. 7
• Block the coin disc with a plastic cylinder Æ Fig. 8
• Open the self-locking nut (SG 17)
• Open the cover (with cone) of the coin disc (AW 6)
• Take of coin disc
• Pull out the axis

The dissociating supplies with distance slices (0,1; 0,3; 0,5 mm)
on the axis. Æ Fig. 9

After correct mounting (reverse order of demounting) the distance has to be

controlled. If necessary the procedure has to be repeated.

Tightening torques:
• Self-locking nut (SG 17): screw free from backlash plus a 1/8 turn
• Allen screw coin disc (AW 6): screw free from backlash plus a 1/4 turn
• Allen screw V-belt disc (AW 2,5): screw free from backlash plus a 1/4 turn
• Hexagon nuts coin disc motor console (SG 8): screw free from backlash
plus a 1/2 turn

1.1.4. Dissociating the junk (automatic cleaning system)

The distance between the coin disc and the hopper has to be 0,3 mm The
dissociating will be realized by displacing of the junk motor console.

Before dissociating be sure that the junk motor has its position “closed”.

• Loose the fixing screws (AW 7) of the junk motor console Æ Fig. 10
• Adjust the distance with the headless Allen screw (AW 3) Æ Fig. 10
• Tighten up the fixing screws (AW 7) of the junk motor console Æ Fig. 10
• Control the distance (0,3 mm) between coin disc and hopper Æ Fig. 10

If necessary the procedure has to be repeated.

1.2 Repairs on the counting system

1.2.1. Replacing of gliding plate and ground plate

The gliding (plastic) and ground (metal) plate are needed to be replaced if they are
scratched too much. Scratches on the plates cause blockades and bad coin
transportation at counting.
Little scratches can be polish with fine sandpaper. Ridges can be removed with a
sharp blade.

Plates with deep scratches have to be replaced.

Changing of plates is only possible at demounted counting system.

• Take off coin disc (AG 6) Æ Fig. 11

• Open 4 screws (Phillips) to demount upper plate Æ Fig. 12
• Open 4 screws (Phillips) to demount the plates (plastic and metal)
• Open 2 screws (Phillips) to separate the plates (plastic and metal) Æ Fig.13

If ground plate (metal) is needed to change, the holes (DM 3,2) on the new ground
plate have to be drilled. In these holes threads (M4) are to tap. Æ Fig. 15

Tighten up screws in plastic not to hard, because risk of deforming!

The holes have to be drilled at mounted state (excepted coin disc). Before
drilling the level crossing to the coin track has to be controlled (a little step
is needed, that the coins will not jump up).

Take care about centred mounting of the coin disc (no touching at the upper
plate).

Tightening torques:
• Allen screw coin disc (AW 6): screw free from backlash plus a 1/4 turn

The distance between coin disc and gliding plate has to be control. If
necessary the coin disc has to be dissociated.

Page 13
1.2.2. Replacing of ball bearing block

The replacing can only put through at demounting counting system.

For replacing the ball bearing block the coin disc axis has to be demounted:
• Open 4 screws (SG 8) of the coin disc motor console
• Take off the V-belt
• Open the counter nut (SG 7) and the headless screw (AW 2,5) on the V-belt
disc.
• Blockade the coin disc with a plastic cylinder Æ Fig. 16
• Open the self-locking nut (SG 17) Æ Fig. 17
• Pull out coin disc together with coin disc axis
• Open 2 Allen screws (AG 4) witch fixes the ball bearing block Æ Fig. 19
• Replace ball bearing block

After correct mounting (reverse order of demounting) the distance between coin
disc and gliding plate has to be controlled. If necessary the coin disc has to be
dissociated.

Tightening torques:
• Self-locking nut (SG 17): screw free from backlash plus a 1/8 turn
• Allen screw coin disc (AW 6): screw free from backlash plus a 1/4 turn
• Allen screw V-belt disc (AW 2,5): screw free from backlash plus a 1/4 turn
• Hexagon nuts coin disc motor console (SG 8): screw free from backlash
plus a 1/2 turn

Page 15
1.3 Settings on the Feeder (conveyor belt) unit
The feeder unit consists of:
• Conveyor belt (2 rollers with maintenance-free bearing bush’s)
• Feeder motor (drives conveyor belt over a V-belt)
• Hopper with mounted hopper sensor

1.3.1. Demounting of the feeder unit

Before demounting 2 connectors have to be unplugged:
• Hopper sensor on motherboard
• Supply of feeder motor

Pay attention that the junk motor position is “open”.

The feeder unit is screwed on the housing (bottom, front side and left side).

After opening the screws:

• 2 hexagon nuts (SG 7) at left side Æ Fig. 20
• 1 hexagon nut (SG 7) at front side Æ Fig. 20
• 6 hexagon nuts (SG 7) at bottom (each side 3 pcs.) Æ Fig. 20

the feeder unit can be taken out of the machine. Æ Fig. 21

1.3.2. Mounting of the feeder unit

Normally the feeder unit will be mounted in reverse order of demounting.

Pay attention that:

• The settings of the feeder unit are correct

• The position of the junk motor is “open“

Be sure that no cables will be crimped!

Before tightening up the screws the junk motor is to turn to its position “closed”.
The positioning of the feeder unit depends on the counting system. The distance
between coin disc and hopper has to be the same on each point (about 0,3 mm).
The exact distance will be adjusted with the junk motor (dissociating junk motor)
after tightening up all screws.

After correct positioning:

• Tighten up all screws
• Plug in connectors (supply of feeder motor and hopper sensor)

Page 17
1.3.3. Setting of the conveyor belt tension
To avoid premature wearing of the bearing bush’s the conveyor belt tension has to
be adjusted correct.

The conveyor belt tension will be adjusted with the front side roller (hopper side).
The position of the roller is adjusted with:
• 2 countered hexagon screws (SG 7) Æ Fig. 22

After opening the counter nut (SG 7) the conveyor belt can be tensed. Æ Fig. 22

Pay attention that conveyor belt runs straight!

The correct tension is: 1 cm yielding at pressing (bottom)

1.3.4. Setting of the hopper

Before adjusting the hopper, a controlling of the conveyor belt tension is
necessary.

The hopper is fixed on the feeder unit with 4 hexagon nuts (SG 10). After loosen
this screws the hopper can be pushed up and down. The correct distance between
hopper and conveyor belt is 0,3 mm. Æ Fig. 23

ATTENTION: Don’t tighten up the hopper screws too strong, otherwise the
hopper will brake (the material of the hopper is tough and brittle)!

1.3.5. Setting of feeder backplane

The backplane is to dissociating to avoid grinding on conveyor belt. The correct
distance is 0,3 mm. Æ Fig. 24

After opening:
• 4 hexagon screws (SG 5,5)

the backplane can be pushed.

1.3.6. Setting of the V-belt tension (feeder driving)

To avoid sliding of the V-belt the tension is to adjust correctly.

The V-belt is to tense by pushing down the feeder motor. The motor is fixed to the
feeder unit with:
• 4 Allen screws (AW 3) Æ Fig. 25

After loosen this screws the motor can be pushed. To avoid unnecessary wearing
of the V-belt pay attention for straight run.

The correct tension is 0,5 cm yielding at pressing.

1.4 Repairs on the feeder unit

1.4.1. Replacing bearing bush’s and conveyor belt rollers

For replacing the bearing bush’s or the conveyor belt rollers the feeder unit is to
demount.

After demounting the feeder unit it’s necessary to disassemble it:

• Loosen 4 Allen screws (AW 3) of motor fixing Æ Fig. 26
• Take off V-belt
• Take off V-belt disc on conveyor belt roller (AG 2) Æ Fig. 26
• Take off tension brackets (front roller) each
2 hexagon nuts (SG 7) Æ Fig. 27
• Remove backplane 4 hexagon screws (SG 5,5) Æ Fig. 27
• Open 2 Allen screws (AG 3) of conveyor belt table Æ Fig. 27
• Remove chute
• Take off the side parts Æ Fig. 28

Now the rollers can be replaced.

The bearing bush’s are fixed to the side parts with:

• 2 Hexagon nuts (SG 5,5) each bush Æ Fig. 29

After replacing the feeder unit is to assemble in reverse order. All settings of the
feeder unit are to control and to adjust if necessary.
