Comparison between effective and ineffective packaging &
labeling of two different types of Spicer.
Introduction:
 Most physical products must be packaged and labeled.
 Marketers use labeling to their products to bring identification. This kind
of labeling helps a viewer to differentiate the product from the rest in the shelves of the
market. There are several used of the label for the products in the market. Labeling is
used for packaging the product.

Packaging:
- All the activities of designing and producing the container for a product.
- They might include up to three levels of material.
Radhuni chili powder comes in-
 Primary Package: A vacuum tetra polybag
 Secondary Package: a cardboard box
 Shipping Package: a corrugated box containing six dozen boxes.
 Well-designed packages can build brand equity and drive sales.
Radhuni Chili powder vs Open market chili powder: (Packaging)
 Brand Identification:
• Radhuni is a famous for good quality packed masala, on the other hand open powder
has no brand identity.
 Physical protection :
• Radhuni (protected from temperature, compressor etc.)
• Open Market Powder: ( Not properly protected)
 Defensive protection:
• Radhuni: (Product is protected from dust, water, different gassy elements etc.)
• Open market chili powder: (Not available)
 Contentment:
• Radhuni: (Nicely contained)
• Open Powder: (It is flowables and need containment)
 Persuade:
• Radhuni provides sound reason to make their product purchase. On the other hand open
powder cannot make customer convinced.

Radhuni Chili powder vs Open market chili powder: (Labeling)


 Identification:
• Radhuni chili powder labeling helps in the identification and principal place of business
of the person for whom the prepackaged product was manufactured, processed, produced
or packaged for resale.
• On other hand Open powder do not give any brand identification.
 Grading:
• Radhuni provides grading of product but open powder does not.
• Label Description:
• Labels provide the information regarding the Radhuni. It describes the contents,
nutritional values, cost, product usage methods, shelf life etc.
• Whether Open powder has not any label of description.
 Promotion:
• Finally labels helps in the promotion the Radhuni through attractive and bright graphics
replacing packet.
• On other hand Open powder do not any promotion.
• Other important things:
Other important things that are necessary for an effective labeling such as barcode, license from
BSTI, manufacturing license, mgf and exp date. Radhuni follow these
but open chili powder does not have these features.

Main reasons behind and effective packaging and labeling


• Self-Service
• Consumer affluence
• Company and brand image
• Innovation opportunity
• From the perspective of both the firm and consumers, packaging must
achieve a number of objectives:
• Identify the brand
• Convey descriptive and persuasive information
• Facilitate product transportation and protection
• Assist at-home storage
• Aid product consumption.
Conclusion
• These type of open spicers are very unhygienic and risky for health.
• Going rotten quickly.
• None refined.
• No brand value.
• Do not have mgf or exp license and date.

So we should follow the welly packed and labeled product and these open Spicer seller
should follow a hygienic way to refine, label and packet his product for a better business.
