Most teen sensations get a lot of criticism and hate because of their
age and talent. It looks obvious that they are jealous and they want to be
a hindrance to their dreams. Their criticisms can actually psychologically
and emotionally break a person. It’s heartbreaking to see an innocent
artist being cyberbullied for his/her mistakes and flaws.
Taylor Swift is a popular artist since 2006, when she was 17 years
old. As a teenage artist, it’s hard for her to cope with judgments because
of her young age. In her childhood, she had had a thought that she had an
obligation to maintain a reputation of a ‘good girl’. She got obsessed with
that thought and every time she looks bad or she’s in embarrassment, it
affects her psychologically.
She had suffered from body dysmorphia and an eating disorder. She
also got sexually assaulted whilst her mother was diagnosed with cancer.
It’s pretty hard for her to even cope with bashing at the time she was
going through something. It’s like double trouble, she’s already
devastated of her personal life, she gets bashed too. It seems like the
world is being so unfair to her.
She actually cares about the judgments of others and what they
say. It shows her sensitivity in a positive way and that she is a caring girl
with a big heart. She takes it to heart because she knows that all of the
things they say are important in making her who she is. She isn’t
overreacting, she just wants to make herself a person, a person whose
ambition is not only to sing, but to use her voice to make an impact.
Though, a lot has happened to her, she learned that the only way to
be successful is through being strong. To be strong is to know how to
defend herself and fight back. She knew that her past will make her
stronger, and that those trials will make a tough girl out of that sweet girl.
