TRUCK HUB WITH SERVICE STATION


Statement of the problem:
A Chinese owner wants to have a truck hub for his truck business. He wants it to have its own
gas refilling station. It’s a mix industrial and residential development for his fifty meters by one hectare lot
(50m x 1hectare).
The client requires a Gas refilling lane of 10m x 7.5 meters with 6 pumps. There will be 5
underground storage tanks for 49.20 m. x 20.40 m. near the gas refilling lane is the car wash lane that
would cater 4 cars at the same time, with dimensions 12 m x 8 m. Adjacent is the covered water and air
island of 1m x 3m. Right ahead is a two storey commercial building that serves as their multi business
office. Both ground and second floor has an area of 28m x 12m. Provide a 6 meter wide driveway for
industrial and residential. Behind the commercial building is the light industrial area with 4,250 square
meters. There will be warehouses, 1 will be for 28m x 40 m and the 2nd one is for 28 m x 30 meters area.
There’s 200 square meter motor pool, a truck parking for 8 x 85 meters area, loading/unloading for 640
square meters, and a generator room and utility room for 8m x 10 m. up ahead is the 300 square meter
staff/ driver’s house. The owner’s 2 storey 320 square meter building footprint with 560 square meter
gross floor area is located in the residential zone of 50 m x 55 meters area. The client wants a paved
playground for his children that will be a 200 square meter area. He also requires a 6 m x 6 m gazebo.
Project site features:
The site is a 1 hectare lot with a 50 meters side perimeter. It can be accessed by an 18 meter
wide road right of way.
Design objectives:
•The architect is required to design and maximize the space in accordance to the client’s needs
