Kobelco Mark 8 “Breaker & Attachment” Screen Adjustments

Notable Information
1. The main control valve can be equipped with
either a Selector Valve for the P2 circuit; An
Extra Valve for the P1 circuit; Both a Selector
Valve and Extra Valve; Or there could be no
additional valve sections added at all.

2. The “Option” section can be equipped with a


Mechanical Port relief, an Electronic Port Relief,
or no Port Relief at all.

1. Be aware that improper adjustment may result


in damage to the machine and/or the optional
attachment.

1. Kobelco only recommends “One Pump Flow”


for Hammer Operation. Optional Hammers
should be sized accordingly.

A. Adjust The Software For The “Option System” Your Machine Has

allow return oil to flow directly back-to-tank.
Option 1 is for machines that do not have an
optional attachment circuit installed. The
selector valve does not activate, and oil flows
back-to-tank, though the control valve.

NOTE: This is for machines with a mechanical relief valve. Option 2 must be selected for this

These screens are accessed by scrolling up or
down. This can then allow you to adjust flows 6.

flow rate in the appropriate “SET” screen that
you choose. 7.

8. Scroll up or down using the Windshield


Washer Switch or Wiper Switch, to increase or
decrease flow.

entered the flow you desire. The screen will then
highlight the pressure adjustment. 9.

Mode Switch to display the screen for the

NOTE: Repeat steps 1 through 16 to adjust the 16.


“SET” screens for “A” Mode (Nibbler “or”
Attachment). Note that the “A” Mode is for 2
direction flow, so the foot pedal will be actuated
in both directions (step 10).

E. Max Flow Rate-Override of Flow Adjustments
1. Even though the screen displays a flow rate in
“B” or “A” Mode, there may actually be an
override that limits the amount of flow.

2. To adjust Max Flow Rate, actuate and hold


the Buzzer Stop Switch, turn the Key Switch to
the “ON” position, and the Service Diagnostic 1
Screen will appear.

3. Actuate the Wiper Switch to scroll down and


highlight the Adjusting Mode 1 screen.

4. Locate the Swing Parking Brake Release


Switch, beneath the plastic cover, behind the
operator’s seat. Actuate the switch for 1 ~ 3
seconds, then return the switch to its original
position. 4.

5. The screen will now display Adjusting


Mode 2.

6. Actuate the Select Switch and the screen will


display the Opt Max Flow Rate screen 54.

the flow rate screen.

F. To Keep the Mode Selection Unchanged When Restarting the Engine
1. Even though you are operating in the “B”
Mode before you turn the engine off, the “H”
Mode will be activated as a default, when the
engine is restarted.
